  1. Skyrender
  2. Description:
  3. The blade is two feet long, composed of a crystalline blue material, darkening into a blue-grey adamantine hilt. The grip is shaped strangely, more like a spear tang than a sword's hilt.
  4. Unliving materials in extended contact will lose reality over time, eventually disintegrating. Formerly living materials(such as bone, leather or wood) last longer, but eventually fail.
  5.
  6. The first time a living wielder grabs the hilt, it will drain 9 spell levels from him as it attunes, before discorporating into a blue haze. Thereafter the attuned wielder can summon the blade into hand as a swift action, costing 1 spell level. Once released from his hand, the blade discorporates at the end of the round, and can be summoned again.
  7. The blade will rematerialize and de-attune upon the death of the wielder. The wielder can choose to de-attune the blade at any time while it's summoned.
  8. If the wielder does not have sufficient spell levels, the blade instead costs the same amount of ability burn to the wielder's Constitution. An unliving wielder(whether construct or undead) requires twice as many spell levels to use, and loses Charisma instead of Constitution.
  9. The wielder may store up to fifty spell levels in the blade itself by casting spells directly at the sword. These spell levels fade in one hour and can be used to fuel any of the weapon's abilities. Other than attunement and summoning the blade(which will automatically drain the required spell levels), all abilities are paid from this pool. If the pool has insufficient spell levels stored in it, the blade automatically drains the difference from the wielder, starting from their highest spell slot.

  11. Weapon Stats
  12. Size: Light(Medium)
  13. Damage: see below
  14. Range: 20ft(thrown)
  15. Critical: 19-20 /x3
  16. Weight: -

  18. Skyrender does not cut as a sword does. Instead, it's mist form directly rends the reality of the creature it strikes, inflicting 1d6 damage, +1d6 per two hit dice of the wielder as a touch attack.
  19. Each attack performed drains 1 spell level from the blade's reserves.
  20.
  21. Known Abilities:
  22. World Key - Automatic. When passing through a dimensional interface(whether a portal or a bag of holding), the portal will attempt to open. Keyed portals require a HD check against the portal's CL. Unknown chance of portal rupture.
  23.
  24. Attuned World - Standard action, costs 1 spell level per 10 minutes. Surrounds the wielder with a 10ft radius of space where the planar traits are altered to Light Gravity and Erratic Time. Elemental and Alignment traits are one step weaker than normal.
  25.
  26. Razor Fog - Swift action, costs 1 spell level per round. The wielder is surrounded by a dense fog(as per Obscuring Mist) to a radius of 10ft. The fog leaves a trail when the wielder moves. Once the wielder stops paying spell levels the fog dissipates at the end of his action. While the fog lasts, the wielder may target any creature(but not objects) within it as if it were in reach at the cost of 1 spell level per attack. The fog obscures vision as normal for the wielder.
  27.
  28. Blink Slice - Move action, costs 2 spell levels. The wielder teleports up to his land speed by slashing through the intervening distance. This ability requires line of sight and line of effect.
