  3. CTGP-7 may prompt you to install the latest version of Luma3DS. The reasons are to prevent modified builds of Luma3DS be used to cheat online, or the mod requiring newer functionality only implemented in the latest version. The build of Luma3DS used by CTGP-7 usually matches the most recent release found on the Luma3DS download page: https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/releases/latest

  5. Section II - Troubleshooting
  6. ------------------------------------------
  7. If you are reading this, you have probably encountered one of the following two issues. If the issue is not listed here, please ask for help in the CTGP-7 discord server (listed below).

  9. Issue #1:
  10. You are pressing A to update Luma3DS, however after the console reboots, the CTGP-7 launcher says it is not updated still. Even if you try updating it again, nothing changes after another reboot. If you are having this issue, please refer to Solution #1 below.

  12. Issue #2:
  13. The CTGP-7 launcher says "Unsupported luma firm location, cannot perform update". If the line just below that starts with "nand", please refer to Solution #1 below. If the line starts with "firm", please refer to Solution #2 below. If it starts with something else (or it says "?"), please ask for help in the CTGP-7 discord server.

  15. Here are the solutions proposed for the issues:

  17. Solution #1:
  18. Your SD card is corrupted, and cannot be properly read on boot. As a failsafe, Luma3DS is booting from NAND instead of SD. You can follow the next steps to fix the issue:

  20. 1) Remove the SD card from your 3DS and insert it into your computer. (Or any other device that is able to read SD cards.)
  21. 2) Copy all the contents from your SD card and paste them to a folder in your computer. This step is very important to prevent data loss.
  22. 3) Use your preferred formatting tool to format your SD card to FAT32 (even if it is already formatted to FAT32).
  23. 4) Copy all the files you backed up in step 1 to your SD card again. This will rebuild the file system and remove any possible corruption.
  24. 5) Try to launch CTGP-7 again, and the issue should have stopped. If it didn't, please join the CTGP-7 discord server and ask for help.

  26. Solution #2:
  27. When you installed CFW to your 3DS, it wasn't done properly. You can follow the next steps to fix the issue:

  30. 2) Try to launch CTGP-7 again, let it update luma if it prompts, and afterwards the issue should have stopped. If it didn't, please join the CTGP-7 discord server and ask for help.
