updates n stuff #pastebinsaturday

sup yall

so obviously i havent really been streaming lately, and ive decided to postpone it until the start of 2019 for a few reasons. i've been having a bit of a busy year, but i can say that with the exception of getting blindsided/heartbroken in a way that i still have no closure on back in january (which yea pretty shitty and still messes with me sometimes when my mind wanders back there... which i try not to let happen often =/), this has otherwise so far been the happiest year i've had in recent memory.

i've been spending a lot of time with my best friend, and we're usually just playing FF4 free enterprise or doing whatever other stuff we feel like. i don't really like streaming FE because i get frustrated juggling playing the game, talking to him, and talking to chat, so i just stay offline and stick to the first two so i can avoid giving viewers a bad experience. but, doing all this stuff with him has been really fun, that's mostly where i've been lately. everything is good, i'm very happy, and i have wonderful friends.

i've also been spending my time working on some other projects! one of the two i can't reveal to anyone yet, but it's really awesome and i'm very proud of how it's coming along. the other is.... new input display adapters! for the remainder of the year, i'm going to be spending time seeing if I can get them to work for other controller types, such as sega and sony consoles. this will require building some new firmware and software, but luckily nintendospy is open source on both ends so i have a lot to learn from!

i'm not streaming in between this, because when i'm busy, i'd rather not stream at all instead of stream sparsely. i want to give my stream my full attention and not half-ass it, and i can't do that right now -- additionally, i don't do well on my personal projects if im anxious about whether or not i'm streaming enough. i can't juggle that commitment on top of my other stuff right now. but, my goal is to have all my projects done by the end of the year so i can get back to it!

thanks for supporting me when i was doing it regularly, and i hope to see you guys again in 2019 when i get back on the speedrun grind :)
