Simba was just a normal guy, living a normal life. But sometimes life just doesn't want to stay normal. After an incident involving himself and his girlfriend, Nala, Simba decides the army would be the best way to get his life back on track. Trained under drill sergeant Rafiki, Simba was soon assigned to a squad lead by Mufasa. After being sent on a mission to retrieve a mysterious briefcase however, things start going wrong. Simba finds Mufasa murdered in his bunk. Although Simba tells his squadmate Zazu that it is obvious someone within theirs ranks is the killer, Zazu refuses to listen and insists on going by official channels. Simba goes back to bed, only to wake up to MPs staring him in the face. Acting quickly, Simba escapes the camp, and now has to survive on his own in the Afghan desert. After nearly dying from dehydration, he's discovered by two AWOL soldiers, Timon and Pumbaa, who bring him into a life of looking out for oneself and no one else. Simba gets used to this life, until one day he remembers his girlfriend, Nala, and calls her. She reminds him of his duty to his country, but he hangs up on her in anger. It is only a coincidental run-in with his former drill sergeant Rafiki that motivates him to go back to the camp and find out who framed him and killed Mufasa. With his comrades Timon and Pumbaa at his side he travels back, only to find the camp is in chaos. Nothing is organized and taliban live among the soldier who are ordered not to drive them out. Realizing the only person who could do this would be the commander of the camp, Scar, Simba confronts him, resulting in the camp breaking out into armed conflict. The camp catches on fire during the battle and Simba knocks Scar unconscious, and decides to let him burn alive for his crimes. Eventually Simba is allowed to go home, after an intensive investigation, where he gets married to Nala and starts a family.
