Today we are happy to announce that the THIRM protocol has gone full DAO (distributed autonomous organisation).

This is a major milestone for THIRM and helps us realise our vision for a trustless and decentralised protocol. The foundation of the DeFi movement has been moving power and control away from individuals and entities, and delivering it to token holders. While great progress has been made in DeFi as a whole, there remain many projects claiming to be DeFi while while still maintaining centralised control. Today individuals, projects and entire blockchains can interact with THIRM with confidence, knowing that governance will be exercised purely by token holders.

When first launched it was prudent to have THIRM Protocol governed by a single entity, a company we named THIRM Solutions and registered in the Cayman Islands. With our transition to full DAO this company will be dissolved.

More details will be announced soon regarding voting and further decentralisation of the protocol.
