Ok I'm gonna make one last push for this. I don't think a National Dex OU-like format should prevent AG being a full dex format, and I still believe it would be best for AG and fine for everyone else if we did go full dex. I could (and did) write a very long post about how full dex goes along a lot better with what AG became and the community's wishes rather than going by the literal definition of "the Ubers banlist" but I don't want to post an overly long essay about the topic. What I can say is that current AG just doesn't really need to exist. Nobody is especially clamoring for what it provides, it's like how pre-ORAS there wasn't a need for the ubers banlist to be its own playable meta. Even if Zacian gets suspected and banned from Ubers somewhere down the road, I just don't see this meta ever reaching the heights of previous generations. On the other hand, full dex AG is the ideal way to make cut Ubers actually playable in a standard singles format since a full dex OU format probably won't be allowing them. It also fits a lot better with the continuity of the meta. AG is the place where you can use whatever mon however you want (save endless battle stuff) and it's not like it needs to follow cart continuity like OU or was meant to be a constantly changing thing like low tiers. It just kind of makes sense to have AG as this unrestricted format to me, idk. It's not an official meta, it's this big sandbox playground that effectively took on a place very different from just the place where we have Mega Rayquaza  and lots of Arceus forms and broken sleep stuff allowed. Full dex would be the best way to keep promoting that.
