19:59:59: <lurkd> Elif feels a chill run up her spine. She looks around in rec but shrugs it off. "That was weird."

20:39:37: <Snowshoe> The doctor arrives at a room with a few professional-looking people milling around in the hall. He opens the door and enters without looking up from his papers.

20:40:07: <Gara> "Yeah. Did. I miss my family, Elif, and I don't even get to have a bunch of good memories too look back on. Didn't have anything to do with them, then I left for college, then my sister died, then I was a cop..." She just kind of shrugs.

20:43:23: <PresidentEvil> The room is notably more spartan than most of research. It's separated into a bare cell, currently occupied by the test subject, and an observation room. There are a few tables, crowded with papers, laptops, and what looks like medical equipment.

20:44:49: <PresidentEvil> The D-class' guard is there, seeming somewhat out of place amongst all the researchers. Also present is Dr. Chernigov, sitting at one of the laptops. On the table next to it is a bright orange case with a combination lock and various biohazard warnings.

20:45:20: <lurkd> "I know I'm not the best to discuss things like this, but I can support you with... well... just being here I guess."
20:45:29: <Alivi> Eriko approches Dr. Chernigov, she is wearing a surgical mask. "So…we are ready to start?"

20:47:07: <PresidentEvil> "We have been waiting for you to arrive. Are you prepared?"

20:48:30: <lurkd> Elif hesitantly reaches for her hand but then decides not to. *sigh*

"Enter the enclosure, inject the subject, and return to the observation room. Officer Schmidt will accompany you." he says, gesturing to the handler.
20:52:15: <Alivi> Eriko nods, she takes a breath and picks up the syringe and the vial. She looks at the officer and approaches the enclosure.
20:53:06: <PresidentEvil> Schmidt takes a card from his belt and unlocks the door. He's through the door first. "Subject, stand up."
20:53:39: <lurkd> "Look... you want to go for a drive around the perimeter. I just got one of the jeeps running and need to test drive it anyway."
20:54:24: <Gara> "Sure." She finishes her lunch.
20:54:51: <Snowshoe> The D-class stands, looking rather unhappy about this whole affair.
20:55:46: <lurkd> Elif finishes her Coke and stands up. "Follow me."

20:57:29: <Snowshoe> He rolls his sleeve up, holding the cuff just above his elbow.

20:58:47: <PresidentEvil> The guard grabs him by the upper arm. "Go ahead, ma'am."
20:59:15: <Alivi> Eriko fills the syringe with the ash from the vial, and injects it into the D-class.
21:01:27: <lurkd> Elif turns the key and pulls out of the garage. *VROoooom* "Sounds great doesn't it?" She drives toward the perimeter road.

21:02:27: <Snowshoe> He winces as she injects him, looking vaguely terrified.

21:07:13: <Snowshoe> The man rubs at the spot where Eriko injected him, then rolls his sleeve back down. He looks around the inside of the room.
21:07:41: <PresidentEvil> The observation windows are one-way glass. He can't see into the control room.
21:11:03: <Snowshoe> He coughs, then scratches at his arm. He seems concerned, but not really in pain or overly distressed.

21:13:19: <Alivi> Eriko looks at Dr. Chernigov, "How do you wish….to proceed?""

21:14:08: <PresidentEvil> Chernigov studies some of the equipment. He's monitoring the subject's vitals.
21:14:21: <Alivi> She nods and looks back. Watching the subject, taking notes
21:16:38: <Snowshoe> He coughs, then sits down and leans back against a wall.
21:20:16: <Alivi> Eriko sighs.
21:21:04: <Snowshoe> The D-class pulls his knees up to his chin and hugs them, looking relieved. You think he might be crying.
21:21:29: <Alivi> Eriko blinks, "Doctor? Is he....crying?"
21:21:56: <PresidentEvil> "The pathogen may have begun to affect his brain functions. This is good data."
21:22:01: <PresidentEvil> "Continue observation."

21:24:43: <Snowshoe> Yep, definitely crying. You see a tear leak out of his eye and roll down his face, leaving a streak of black ash behind it.

21:29:04: <Snowshoe> The D-class rubs at the streak with the back of his hand, smearing it across his cheek and his hand. He stares at the back of his hand for a moment, looking surprised, then sobs and leans back against his knees. You can see his back heaving as he cries.
21:30:36: <Alivi> Eriko tries to focus.
21:33:47: <Alivi> She watches the D-class
21:37:32: <Alivi> Eriko sighs. She feels bad. But at the same time, Dr. Chernigov is right, this is valuble data
21:37:48: <Snowshoe> You see his back shake as he coughs, and a puff of black ash shoots out around him.
21:38:30: <Alivi> "Is it targeting the respiratory system?"
21:39:34: <PresidentEvil> "Appears to be. I'm most interested in the nervous system, however."
21:39:35: <lurkd> Elif pulls over to the side. "Alright, you drive now."
21:39:45: <PresidentEvil> Chernigov leans forward in his chair.

21:39:55: <Gara> "Sure."
21:40:34: <Gara> She hops out, and goes to get into the drivers side.

21:43:15: <Snowshoe> The D-class gags, looks like he's choking for a few seconds, then spits a wad of thick black goop onto the floor of the cell.

21:44:16: <PresidentEvil> Chernigov keys the intercom. "Could you describe your symptoms, please?"

21:48:00: <Snowshoe> The D-class continues sobbing, apparently oblivious to Chernigov. He sneezes suddenly, spraying a thick cloud of the black ash into the air.
21:48:32: <Alivi> Eriko rubs her arm.
21:48:58: <PresidentEvil> Chernigov repeats himself, a measure of annoyance creeping into his voice.
21:53:43: <Snowshoe> There is, again, no response. His sobbing slows and he sneezes again, throwing up another thick layer of the black ash. His face, what little of it you can see, is now almost completely covered in the stuff, as are most of his clothes.

21:56:01: <PresidentEvil> Chernigov looks? How are they?
21:58:05: <Snowshoe> His heart rate is accelerated, but not beyond what you'd expect from someone having a pretty justifiable panic attack. Blood oxygen is really, really low.
21:58:59: <PresidentEvil> "Blood oxygen levels are extremely low and dropping. Heart rate is elevated."
21:59:13: <Alivi> "Alright….noting."
22:03:28: <Snowshoe> He chokes again and spits another thick glob of ash onto the floor of the cell. You hear him suck in a rasping breath that cuts off after about a second, and he resumes sobbing.

22:04:16: <PresidentEvil> "I do wish we could have more data on his mental state..."
22:04:40: <Alivi> Eriko moves forward, "Can you still understand us?" She asks over the intercom
22:10:46: <Snowshoe> He looks towards the intercom and his mouth works for a few seconds. He hacks, looks like he's trying to cough, then shuts his mouth and resumes sobbing. You notice that for someone who looks like he'd be crying really loudly, he's awful quiet.

23:30:28: <Snowshoe> The interior of the cell is now thick with black ash. You can faintly make out a lighter spot that /might/ be the D-class slumped against a wall inside. His heart rate's slowed to slightly lower than normal speeds, and his blood oxygen is still extremely low.
23:30:42: <Snowshoe> The ash is hanging in the air, not coating the glass.
23:31:10: <Pres> "Heart rate is beginning to slow. Patient is not responsive..."

23:32:57: <Pres> He turns to one of the other scientists. "How is his brain activity looking?"

23:34:24: <Snowshoe> The scientist shrugs. "Functioning normally, from what I can see. You'd think the oxygen deprivation would've done something by now, but guess you really can't tell with these sorts of things."
23:34:52: <Alivi> Eriko sighs. "Should we check on him?"
23:35:06: <Pres> "An alternate metabolic pathway perhaps? No, no. Let's see what happens."
23:35:15: <Pres> "This could be a transitional state."
23:35:16: <Alivi> Eriko nods. "Okay."
23:38:41: <Snowshoe> You still hear a cough or a sneeze every few minutes, but it eventually falls silent. The heart rate monitor flatlines.
23:39:23: <Alivi> Eriko looks at the monitor. She seems stunned
23:40:14: <Pres> Chernigov raises an eyebrow. He leans forward in his seat.
23:42:39: <Snowshoe> Several minutes pass. You hear the faint sound of sloshing from inside the cell, but you can't see anything.
23:42:57: <TheRaven> Taggart sits in rec, doing nothing much.
23:43:29: <Alivi> Eriko looks at Chernigov, "Did you hear, that sound? None of the other, do such thing."
23:43:43: <Pres> "Turn on the fans and the filters."

23:45:26: <Snowshoe> The fans whirr to life and spin for a few seconds, then suddenly stop.

23:46:52: <Snowshoe> You hear something shatter from inside the cell. Sounds a hell of a lot like a fan falling to the ground.

23:48:04: <Pres> The handler speaks up "Reinforced concrete and armored glass. It can be locked down if we need to."

23:48:46: <Snowshoe> Something splashes wetly from inside, and you hear the sound of metal thunking against a wall.
