background: eui was born into a small family of 3 in da nang, vietnam during a rough time for her family. her parents were in a rocky part of their relationship, no longer feeling the love they felt before. they never openly stated that they were having problems but they never really talked and avoided being together alone for long. due to their actions, eui and her older brother bonded quite a lot in their childhood, even though he was older by 5 years. when she was about to turn 6, her parents got divorced and her father took her and her brother. they moved to icheon in south korea soon after the divorce since that was where her father's family was. they still saw their mother often and the family's relationship didn't suffer. throughout her school life, she wasn't the most popular nor a loner. she had a small, close group of friends that she cared for dearly but even though people often talked to her and she loved the attention, she didn't see them as friends. her grades were always average and once she was in high school, she got the attention of boys and sometimes other girls who saw her as cute and funny, some wanting to be just friends while others wanted them to date. while in high school, she became interested in being a rapper due to her love of american and asian rappers/musical artists. most of her old friends moved on but her best friend stuck around up until she became a trainee, disagreeing with her choices. overall, she had an average life.
