Yearly Speedrun Review | 2019

At the start of 2019, I posted a Pastebin showcasing my goals for speedruning in 2019.

The Pastebin actually managed to stick around this year instead of being deleted, however it's extremely obsolete as I barely stuck to it at all, so I won't even bother going through it. This year I’ll only include the PB summary of all the games I ran.

PB Summary:

-Pokémon PBs-

Let's Go Eevee 3:39:38 (47th Place):
- I started this project with the hop of grinding this game to get a very good time, however I quickly lost interest in it mid-way through my second run. It's honestly just boring in my opinion. I might return one day, but if it is, I won't grind for any better than Top 20.

Emerald Any% Glitchless (JPN) 3:12:33 (4th Place):
- I finally completed a run of this as part of the 1 year Podcast Anniversary. Run was absolutely terrible, but I do want to come back to it someday, maybe if I ever get a GBP I'll go back.

White 2 Any% 3:13:18 (2nd Place):
- This run was WR for a total of 7 hours before crafted took it back with a 3:12. I've been ahead of crafted's run on many, many occasions, however I lost motivation for the project after killing a lot of good runs to stupid mistakes, such as optionals or Charles. I will 100% return to this in the near future and reclaim WR.

Platinum Any% 2:44:14 (2nd Place):
- This run was WR for about 2 or 3 months before werster took it back. At the time I actually thought this run was top quality, but after consideration and seeing how much better werster performed in his run, I quickly learned new strategies to take the time down lower. I will return for a 2:42 or a 2:41 in the future.

Pearl Any% (JPN) 58:17 (1st Place):
- I had WR already from earlier in the year, I ran it for under 2 hours and got another spinnerless run with all the fast strats. Not completely satisfied but this will do until it is beaten.

-Octopath PBs-

Single Story Olberic 1:08:15 (8th Place):
- WR pace until Archibold, biggest disappointment of a run I think I have ever completed.

All Main Stories 3:40:35 (4th Place):
- About 8-10 minutes of deaths in this run. Will take quite a bit of time off of this and claim WR relatively soon.

-Other Game PBs-

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition Any% Set Seed, Glitched 5:05.07 (1st Place):
- A somewhat sub-par run, no interest in improving this until it's beaten.

MySims (DS) 1 Star, 2 Star and 3 Star runs (All 1st Place):
- 1 star run is very good, the other two are sub-par, however I won't improve them until they get beaten by someone else, or I reroute 3 star.

Cars: Race-O-Rama (DS) 42:51 (2nd Place)
- This category recieved a complete reroute as new skips were discovered by the current WR holder. I will return and get a run that is miles better than my current PB, and hopefully get the first ever 41.

Cars Maternational Championship (DS) 1:10:07 (1st Place)
- Very good run with the exception of the penultimate race. I'll likely return for a 1:09 if I get bored someday.

Skylanders: Spyros Adventer Co-Op 2:48:35 (1st Place)
- Terrible Co-Op run with my sister. Won't return unless it is beaten.

Geometry Dash 1-14 Any% 21:02.267
- My yearly GD record. Decent enough run, I think 21:01 is possible though.
