  1. A still road, even as phantom cars not seen by the naked eye sound like they are coming and going, nothing hits him so Thomas keeps walking down the street. Eventually he comes upon a dock overlooking a bay, it is a tranquil sea, across from which he can see a heavily forested mountain range. There is commotion up the ways, he can see people and vehicles moving at what looks to be a fort build on the city's side of a bridge that looks to just go into the mountain.
  2.
  3. "People," he whispers, "just like those...guys."
  4.
  5. He looks over at a cafe and smiles. A small bell chimes as he enters, he lets out a small *laugh* as he sits down and looks out the window, "whatever comes...I the man who must taste good."
  6.
  7. He breaks out into histerical laugher, remembering the naga, Naji'ina, the cat-girl Nada, and now the nameless sluggirls in that sewer.
  8.
  9. "All the ladies of Hell want a piece of ole Thomas," he laughs.
  10.
  11. As the sun hangs low in the sky he spies movement coming out of a sink on the cafe counter, a small grey slug with no eye stalks. It turns towards him and then away, moving along the counter and then up the wall.
  12.
  13. "Who the fuck are you?" demands a soldier in full riot gear coming through the door aiming an assault rifle at him.
  14.
  15. "Dr. Thomas O'Mallory," he says, "died once by the hands of an angry ghost...revived by the demons of Hell...only to be hit by a truck and brought back...if you're going to shoot me...go ahead...there is nothing you can do that comes close to the pain I've already..."
  16.
  17. The soldier takes a step back and takes aim behind Thomas and opens fire as the grey slug springs off the wall towards the soldier, blasting it to pieces in mid-air.
  18.
  19. "Shit," says the soldier, "they're already coming out."
  20.
  21. "What?" asks Thomas.
  22.
  23. "The information officers can explain back at the fort," says the soldier, "its not safe out here..."
  24.
  25. "Not safe there too I'd imagine," says Thomas, "I was already with other...soldiers...they were slaughtered...by demons...they already explained to me that the more people gather, the more weapons they hold...the stronger the monsters that come after them."
  26.
  27. "Not in this city," says the soldier, "but whatever, you can follow me to safety or risk getting your body hijacked by a slug...good luck when you respawn and your own corpse is hunting you down...or any of the other zombies in this fucking city."
  28.
  29. "That..." says Thomas, "sure...I think I've been torn apart and eaten enough times for one...afterlife."
  30.
  31. ******
  32.
  33. Thomas is taken to the bridge fort, nothing else comes out into the street, most of what the soldiers tell him are things he already knows...regenerating, respawning, the monsters, buildings being full of traps...although the information about doors and mists, especially doors in basements being portals half the time is something he wasn't aware of. As he isn't really a "newbie" just new to "their" city he is taken to the information officer.
  34.
  35. "Welcome," says the woman with short cut brown hair, "My name is Officer Barbara Gillet...I'm the resident Information Officer...on account of the fact..."
  36.
  37. She points out towards the mountains, "that I was held up inside a safe zone...an area monsters don't enter, that happened to be a library for over forty years. For some reason something wrote down alot of information in there...and no...we can't take the books out of there as just taking them out the door causes some rather nasty winged monsters to come after you relentlessly till they get the book back."
  38.
  39. "O...kay," says Thomas, realizing most of this woman says is sharing information apparently, "I got a question, what do you know about these...slug things in the sewers?"
  40.
  41. "Gonna have to be more specific," says Barbara, "there are alot of slug monsters."
  42.
  43. "grey," says Thomas, "no eye stalks...goes from a little slug baby to a slug-woman..."
  44.
  45. "Oh," says Barbara, "well sounds like you already know them."
  46.
  47. "except," says Thomas, "that the soldier that escorted me here who shot one seemed to imply they hijacked bodies or something....I...havn't seen that trick. I just saw the babies...and the adults...I think I'm missing a step or two."
  48.
  49. Barbara holds her fingers together looking at the table, "yes...this city is often called the Zombie Apocalypse city...but this time of year the number of normal zombies goes down. Those creatures are one of the reasons, its their breeding season. The slugs seek out hosts and leap into their mouths. For a man they release an acid that dissolves his insides to suck it up as a soup while they control his body like a puppet. Its slow enough that some don't respawn right away, even when you do...for some reason they know...they can smell or sense you...and hunt you down with the intention of eating your fresh meat...for a woman though...its worse. They take over the body and transform it over the course of a few days into a slug-woman creature. You respawn sure...but its still there...and it gets a taste for its old host...in different ways...sometimes at the sametime. It doesn't even have the descency to keep your face."
  50.
  51. Thomas thought that last sentance was a bit odd, he also wanders if the reason that one slug didn't come after him was because it was one of his...the thing that kept him prisoner's offspring. There were twelve that left into the tunnels, only five came back, leaving seven unaccounted for. But then he respawned here, those tunnels also lead back to a cabin...in the woods...like that across the bay.
  52.
  53. "I was told," says Thomas, "by one of the soldiers that doors underground can lead to different places...like portals. I told them I started out in a small landlocked city, went down but my path back...changed through a mist and became a locked door to a cabin...I...eventually found my way to a storm drain...just down the street from here."
  54.
  55. Barbara is certain he is hiding something, likely related to the slug creatures, she knows plenty of horrible encounters the soldiers have had of the adults attacking and eating them. Likely this man has had the same experience or even experiences.
  56.
  57. Barbara *sighs*, "Dr. O'Mallory, if one ate you...then it will likey always have your scent and hunt you again. This is true of several soldiers and civilians in our network. While a doctor isn't really needed here you are welcome to stay in our protection or even join the squads if you want. The breeding season is about over, soon the nocturnal predators that actually instill fear in the zombies will return to their own lairs across the bay, in the bay, and underground."
  58.
  59. "Strange," thinks Thomas remembering how the slugwoman stopped hunting for a short time, "but no doubt it only went up for that reason, given it seemed like it could eat anything...and whatever these other things are."
  60.
  61. "Do the squads," asks Thomas, "ever go underground to try and eradicate the adults?"
  62.
  63. "I see you don't know," says Barbara, "the reason the zombies fear these things just like we do...they gain our regenerative ability as adults. Same with the fish beasts, the harpies, and those...unholy angels as the books called them...and its much faster for them...they can even respawn. The slugs I'm sorry to say...as adults, some will stick around the city, hunting at night in the sewers and buildings...thankfully the rest...the faster more horrific ones leave."
  64.
  65. "I...see..." says Thomas, "this is a bit to take in....and..."
  66.
  67. He stops and says, "is that a helicopter I hear?"
  68.
  69. "The zombie swarms are about to appear," says Barbara, "the helicopters are preparing their runs, thankfully the harpies already left for the mountains...it will make clearing out the majority of the swarms for the year easier."
  70.
  71. "what?" asks Thomas.
  72.
  73. "guess you didn't have Cinemorphic Demons where you came from huh?" says Barbara, "the demons think they are funny making horror movie monsters become real...but only one per individual monster...and if they are destroyed they vanish for a whole year. We've got a pattern going as all those big city movie zombies all pop up to mow them down from above. They arn't like the real...living monsters...they're easier to predict...and clearly artificial. But that doesn't mean they arn't still threats, or attract other predatory true demons from the ocean and mountains...to....have their fun..."
  74.
  75. Barbara has a far away look. He can only imagine what some of the one's he's seen before would be like...likely like a sandbox videogame, rampaging through the street, throwing cars, taking down helicopters, mowing down the zombies...and anyone else for fun.
  76.
  77. ******
  78.
  79. That night and next morning is filled with the sounds of explosion, rockets, grenades, pipe bombs, helicoters, ATVs, tanks. Thomas has no idea why these weapons and vehicles would even be in the city...or even in what he is pretty sure is Hell. He looks around the fort, men, women, soldiers, and people just trying to hide out. He knows every single one of them has a story, horrors they've experienced, seen, nightmares he can't imagine most likely, he doesn't even know what most of the things Barbara was describing yesterday even are. His own story...if he were to tell it truthfully from the beginning...no one would believe that he's the good guy in it. He knows how it has to look...but...he was trying to save lives....sure make a fortune and become famous too...but the center of it was a technology to restore memory, restore life beyond what medical science declared dead. But that comes around to the sad truth, the people he met before, they had stories, war stories about this place, but so few talked about their lives before...no one could answer why they were here...and so many doubted what this place was. Even now...he overhears them, a woman claiming this is a videogame, a man who swears its aliens...he's heard it all before. He wanders something though, Barbara mentioned others having experiences with the slug-women...but their stories were the same...infected, hunted, and some continue to hunt them, it seems like...
  80.
  81. "Dear God," thinks Thomas, "these people didn't believe me about the monsters getting worse...the people in that other city...they had a fort didn't they...they told me they had large numbers...weapons...until the bigger monsters showed up and scattered them...the demons then went to that western town and flattened it."
  82.
  83. He climbs the steps to the upper deck and looks out at the bay, "zombies...they just said this town had zombies...which vanish...but then they wouldn't be much for meat..the natural monsters must use this as a nesting ground because of the people...the slugs infect...regenerate...increase in numbers...but they don't seem to know how they breed specifically...or no one has told them...I didn't tell them...no way in Hell I'll tell them...so...a slow boil...this can't last...they even take out the temporary zombies because they say they attract stronger demons to come and...play with them; which then as I suspected turn on the people and their weapons...lying low is the only thing..."
  84.
  85. He looks out at the bridge as a pair of soldiers go out to meet two women coming across it. Just...strolling across the bridge from the mountain like...
  86.
  87. "No," whispers Thomas as he makes out their profiles and ducks down the steps quickly, "no, no, no, no..."
  88.
  89. "What's wrong?" asks Barbara as Thomas passes her office, his face white as a sheet.
  90.
  91. "The heralds of the storm demon," he says without thinking, some comic book reference blurting out of his mouth mixed in with what he is trying to say as he asks to leave the bunker in a panic.
  92.
  93. A soldier tries to stop him but Barbara nods to let him run out the door into the street, watching as he ducks into a building across the street.
  94.
  95. "Snapped," says Barbara, "give him a few hours..."
  96.
  97. Her walkie gos off, "Resident Officer," comes the guard.
  98.
  99. "This is Information Officer Barbara Gillet," she says, "what is the situation?"
  100.
  101. "We have two guests," says the soldier over the walkie, "said they just came from the mountain, hiding out in the library. Thought you might want to know. Give them the tour and all that boss."
  102.
  103. Barbara shakes her head, these arn't real soldiers, neither was she, she was a city woman before she ended up here, "alright," she says over the walkie, "show them in."
  104.
  105. "More newbies?" asks the nearby soldier.
  106.
  107. "If they are just strolling across that bridge," says Barbara, "we better be careful...also..."
  108.
  109. She recalls that Thomas ran down from the upper deck, "did he see them? is that what he was talking about?"
  110.
  111. She says aloud, "Keep an eye on them...something isn't right about this...I want someone outside and inside my office when I talk to them."
  112.
  113. ******
  114.
  115. Inside the building Thomas makes his way to the back, its an empty room, looks like the fort right across the street probably blasted the windows out and place apart before...of course like so many structures the building its self likely repaired its self. But these people...clearly pride themselves on being efficient. No way they'd let something right across the street from their base be filled with monsters.
  116.
  117. As he makes his way through the back and into another building, trying to stay clear of the sky, he comes across a dark room and a creepy little girl's voice, "Daddy?"
  118.
  119. "Oh shit!" exclaims Thomas turning around quickly.
  120.
  121. Sitting on a stool in the dark room is a little doll of a blond curly haired little girl in a speckled blue dress and white sun hat.
  122.
  123. "Daddy." says the doll, followed by its head spinning around.
  124.
  125. Thomas *sighs*, "thank god its just a possessed doll."
  126.
  127. "Daaaaddeeee," says the doll in a very human voice.
  128.
  129. Thomas glares at the doll, "if you're going to do something do it, cut me with that little knife in your dress pocket, lunge at my face; what the fuck ever...this whole place might just get leveled...I saw the storm...it is coming...it follows them..."
  130.
  131. "Daddy...play with me."
  132.
  133. He gives the doll a dead pan stare, "seriously...doll...do something or fuck off."
  134.
  135. "What the fuck dude," says the doll, "I'm a creepy doll...arn't you even...tee hee...a little scared?"
  136.
  137. Its arm moves up holding its knife as its lifeless plastic face distorts into a twisted smile.
  138.
  139. Thomas leans down and glares in its face, "I was in a hospital...in Hell...I was unbirthed and eaten by Naji'ina...lost in some fucked up super store where I was treated as a snack by Nada...I came back to life...really alive...only to be killed...and I know it was by that damned Storm Demon that turned that...girl...into its pet...I could hear it in my head forcing me to walk into the street in front of a fucking bus...and when I get back here...you little cliche piece of plastic shit...I was captured and used as a sex slave and snack food by a fucking slug with a human face and tits...so no...I'm not afraid of Chucky's bitch."
  140.
  141. The doll tries to cut his face; which he dodges easily as it moves slowly. However as he stands there the doll's face distorts into surprise.
  142.
  143. "Daddy," the voice is coming from behind him...and down, a drain grate for the storage space he walked into.
  144.
  145. He is frozen as the bolts of the grate and chunks of the floor easily give way to the slug-monster emerging from below. It rears up and smiles with its red lips, "daddy...come play...with me."
  146.
  147. He turns at the doll, "fuck you so much,"
  148.
  149. The slug says, "fuck you...so much,"
  150.
  151. A tit tentacle shoots out, but the doll leaps from the stool as the tentacle just missed it. The doll runs with surprising speed behind some boxes. The slug monster turns, fixated on the small creature running from it, like any good predator would be. As it squirms towards the boxes with its undulating movement, Thomas eyes the door, the light....the first slug...never went out during the daytime...He moves slowly to the door, opens it quickly and runs out into the street. Still close enough to hear the doll's voice screaming and silent. He looks through a window to see the slug is swalloing it whole, blood dripping down...beneath the plastic...it had been flesh. He runs through the alleys, bulking at every drain and grate as if the creature could magically pop up beneath him. Losing his way running between buildings before stopping as a blue light appears in front of him, like a gathering blue flame and coeleses into a grey skinned zombie wearing grey rags. It turns to him, *roars* and four short octopus like tentacles shoot from its mouth. Thomas runs, the zombie mutant creature running as well right behind him. A *gun shot* and the zombie vanishes like broken blue shard of glass that dissolve into small blue flames.
  152.
  153. "Hey down there," yells a man on the roof top, "you may want to rethink a stroll through here! You a newbie?"
  154.
  155. "No," yells up Thomas as he climbs a fire escape across the alley, pulling it up behind him as he makes his way to the roof. He falls back on the ledge looking up at the sky and yells over to the soldier, "I just had a little...snap...I'm alright now."
  156.
  157. The soldier gives the okay sign and takes his rifle to the other side of the building, shooting at zombies. Thomas watches as helicopters fly over head, listens to the sounds of gunfire.
  158.
  159. "efficient," he says, "but the zombies...are just a distraction."
  160.
  161. He thinks about the doll...and the red lipped slug....the same one...it had looked at him...while he was vanishing...how it did that he doesn't know, but it followed him despite respawning. He really isn't that far away then like they said it would happen from where he was...eaten.
  162.
  163. "Regardless," he says to himself, "this proves it...the real horrors in the city are lurking in the shadows...these people...are prisoners...they can shoot all the zombies they want...but the moment they try to not live like prisoners in a bunker...they'll be hunted down by the things...right under their feet."
  164.
  165. He raises his hand to his face as he lies down, tears rolling free from his eyes, "I have to get away from the city...."
  166.
  167. He takes his hand away, "not the bridge....no...that map they showed me last night; four other bridges. One connects to a tunnel in the mountain...where they came from...two others connect to other cities, and one connects to a weird small island they listed as "Off limits"....it may be insane, but unless I want to try the basement doors thing...and maybe end up in an inferno walkway or something...one of those islands....fuck it...off limits island it is less likely probably to attract that demon. Just have to wait out this zombie cleansing thing; tell them I'll take my chances and head there."
  168.
  169. "Hold on," he says after a moment, "those fucking things were talking...what the fuck?"
  170.
  171. Not long after he hears screaming and gunfire coming from the bridge, and explosions. He can't see past the buildings but the soldier over on that building has already rushed down to head that way. He does see the lightning coming from a clear sky and the blades of wind ripping through a helicopter sending it crashing into the street below.
  172.
  173. "Oh fuck," says Thomas as he makes his way down the fire escape and runs through the streets till he comes upon a large wooded park, stopping only when he no longer hears the lightning and explosions.
  174.
  175. He stops and takes a few deep breaths, "well....called it...I guess...shit..."
  176.
  177. The sun is getting low and as he turns around a large rock he hears, "Daddy,"
  178.
  179. He stops frozen and looks back at an overpass in a bike path. A manhole cover open under there and the slug with the red lips is reared up there, "Daddy...come play...with me."
  180.
  181. It smiles as it inches forward, stopping and its head mantle wrinkiling and lips curling in anger as it hits the sun and backing up.
  182.
  183. "come play with...me."
  184.
  185. "Either I'm out of range," he whispers to himself, "or it can't aim through the trees and around this boulder very well...but it knows I'm here...shit...its been tracking me...from under my feet this whole time...damn. Persistent..."
  186.
  187. He turns, the shadows are stretching as the sun lowers behind the buildings, it moves forward. He looks around, the trees are providing shade, if the shadows stretch enough it may just make a break for them...eventually there will be no sunlight to stop it.
  188.
  189. He takes some steps back near another overpass, "Can you understand me?" he asks.
  190.
  191. "Come play me....come play with...me....daddy."
  192.
  193. "You can talk," says Thomas, "but are you just mimicing it? trying to mess with my head like that doll thing...if its the later...we can make a deal."
  194.
  195. The red lipped slug smiles as the shadows stretch further and it squirms a bit closer, "deal...dealllll....Delly....me...Delly....like Delly."
  196.
  197. "Its not very smart," thinks Thomas, "heard a sound it likes and decided to make that its name...whatever."
  198.
  199. "Listen....listen to daddy."
  200.
  201. Thomas *cringes* at his own words, they sounded so creepy coming out of his mouth.
  202.
  203. "Call me Thomas...if you can understand me."
  204.
  205. It smiles, "Thomas....come play with Delly...come play...with...us."
  206.
  207. "Us?" asks Thomas a moment before hunching over in pain as a dart shoots into the back of his leg.
  208.
  209. He turns to see the shadows of the trees covering another manhole by a short wall, and there is the green lipped slug-girl.
  210.
  211. "Oh fuck...fuck...fuck..." he mutters as he tries to crawl to a hill, open in the light still, the two can't follow him close enough, even a tit tentacle shot out by the green lipped one is quickly retracted as it goes into the light while reaching for his ankle.
  212.
  213. "fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck," chant the two slug girls as they inch with the shadows. He has crawled up the hill, with every ounce of remaining strength before giving out next to a road.
  214.
  215. "Ah, damn," he mutters as he sees three zombies. One all red with a skull like head, another that looks green and oozing, and a third that is white with dried out skin, barely even looking undead like the make up from an old movie, especially next to these other two that look like they crawled out of a videogame.
  216.
  217. The zombies spot him and start to shamble over, his rock hard erection in his pants really pissing him off right now...like a sausage sticking up screaming "bite me off first..."
  218.
  219. The zombies stop, the white one bursts into blue shards and vanishes like the one earlier, the green and red soon follow even as they tried to turn and run. He didn't hear anything, no gun shots or anything.
  220.
  221. A *giggle* draws his attention above him, in the tree, there is a thing there. Like a snake with a possum's tail and the wings of a bat. Its body is bio-mechanical like black plates in a twisted immitation of life, it has stiff metal breasts and needle like tits. It has an elongated skull for a head, two large black eyes, skull like nose, and very large lips. It is hanging from the tree by its tail like a possum, only to drop to the ground not far from him. It walks upon its wings like strange short legs, its serpentine body swaying behind it as it strolls over to his paralyzed body. It doesn't seem to care about the daylight like the slugs do...which he can no longer see up this far on the hill, and can't hear anymore. This winged thing is just as horrible if not more so in the light as it was in the shade of the tree; it however seems curious about his erection and slices his pants with its thumb claw. It makes a *hissing* noise as it works, showing off its very sharp teeth. Up close its not much larger than the doll was, its body is thin, sunken in, and stiff.
  222.
  223. It makes a *haaa* sound as it cuts away his underwear causing the artificially made erection to stand up in the evening breeze. It lowers its head, and opens its mouth filled with razer teeth, it has no tongue and lowers its mouth, its so small that barely the head and part of the shaft can fit. It sucks a little on the head, and drools like mad down his shaft. His dick soaked the creature crawls onto his waist, balancing its body vertically above his cock, its wings on his thigh.
  224.
  225. "No way," thinks Thomas, "it will grow frustrated that I can't fit...and then..."
  226.
  227. It slips down the whole length of his cock, whatever the inside of this creature is like, he imagines it must mostly be pussy. It tightens on his cock and then....nothing...it just sits there...like some metal stature shoved onto his dick with a warm and wet insert. If it hadn't been moving a moment ago he too would swear this thing wasn't alive. It doesn't even blink.
  228.
  229. Feeling returns to his arms and legs as he lies there, however his cock remains erect inside this thing...he would chance moving, or grabbing at it, but he has no idea what it could do...it looks to be made of metal...and has no interest in experiencing it possibly slicing his dick off. Not that it matters as in a moment it starts to flap its wings and its eyes glow black...he feels a sickness...like the life is drained from him seeing it...but nothing else...however a horrible, "Get off daddy!" from two sources not far behind him seems enough to convince the thing to release his cock and fly away.
  230.
  231. He turns on his stomach in the grass, the sun has gone down enough that they could find their ways up the hill to him. He prepares for another darting, instead the green lipped one crawls onto his back crushing him into the dirt and grass with its weight, grinding him into it as it writes ontop of him, covering him in its mucus. The red lipped one leans in the grass its face directly in front of his, it kisses him, a much more passionate kiss than the one before, even using its tongue, keeping it short inside his mouth. One on his back however is squirmong about, every crack drenched in slippery slime; he feels something prodding as his ass and then slipping in. The mucus providing the perfect lubricant. It squirms about in his ass making his erectin dig in the dirt. The red lipped slug creature stops kissing him and moves to the side, the pure muscle of its body actually manuvering him and the green lipped one onto it abdome, a little squirming on its part and his dick finds a hole. The two writhe and fuck him from both ends down there. He actually wraps his arms around the one under him, and opens his legs wide. The two inflate all their breasts, moving them to massage each other and him, a big mucus covered slug threesome. the tit tentacle even shoot out from all twelve breasts on each creature and around each other crushing him between them like the filling in this slug sandwich. This goes on for hours, he's not even sure how his dick stayed up despite the lack of a dart...unless the mucus is enough to do it. It apparently lasts through the night; he can only imagine the sight was something zombies and other monsters would avoid. He actually falls asleep between them, waking up the next morning inside the locker room of an indoor pool. He peers out and sees the showers running and the two slugs sleeping in them, coiled around each other.
  232.
  233. "Ya know," he says to himself smiling, "technically these two didn't do anything to me...it was those other three...oddly serendipitous they'd be the two with distinct characteristics though."
  234.

A bit of a revelation for him that they did that on purpose...possible so they'd know it was them...did they know their sisters would eat him? If what Barbara said was true then these were born from infecting the bodies of two women up here...as were the other three, and possibly would hunt down those same two women if they had the chance.
