when people think about ha na, they define her as a meme. she is that easy-going, hilarious, and random friend everyone wants to have. whenever anyone needs a laugh, she knows exactly what to say or what to do. she is what some might call extra, but she doesn't mean to be like that, she just is.
ha na is transparent and honest. she will never lie to somebody she cares about, not even if the truth might hurt them. she doesn't know how to conceal her feelings; if there's anything bothering her, she will say so.

kang hana was born in new jersey, united states of america. when she was one month old, she was adopted by a korean couple that were having trouble having children. they took care of her and raised her as if she was their own kid. they would spoil her and dedicate every single second of the day to educating her and making her the happiest child on earth.
when ha na was three years old, her mother became pregnant. everyone was both joyful and surprised, but as expected, they welcomed the new baby with opened arms. even though the family  thought ha na would be jealous of her brother, she wasn't. she gave the boy all the love and attention an infant could. she treated ha neul like a doll.
a couple of years passed and her father was offered a job offer in south korea, the land where he and his wife were from. the job wasn't the deal of his dreams, but he had been missing the rest of his family, as well as ha na's mother did, so they decided that he should accept the offer so that they could move to seoul.
when the time came, ha na went to pre-school, but since her parents had only taught her english up until that point, she couldn't communicate with her classmates, which ended up in she not wanting to go back to school until first grade, when she finally got a hang of korean.
through elementary school, kids would still make fun of her. at first, it was because she had a pretty thick accent when speaking korean, but then, when her accent disappeared, they started calling her ugly and fat. she didn't have a lot of friends, and although she was a rather sad kid, she focused on studying hard and got into a mindset where she thought that if she couldn't be pretty, at least she could be the smartest girl in the class.
her parents noticed how she had trouble making friends and how shy she was. they didn't know their daughter was being bullied. they decided to sign her up for ballet and acting classes, thinking that would make her come out of her shell... and it did.
when ha na entered middle school, she had a new type of confidence. her classmates didn't bother her anymore, and while she was still the girl with the best grades in her class, she was also one of the most popular ones. she was in almost every school play or dance performance. she even became part of the school choir!
during her last year of middle school, she opened her youtube chanel, where she started uploading dance and vocal covers. even though she was scared people would start bullying her again, she kept uploading videos; she knew that was what she loved to do and that no amount of hate could ever surpass the amount of happiness recording gave her.
ha na was in her second year of high school when she adventured in her luck and went to an audition at jyp entertainment. unexpectedly for her, she got in. since then, she has been working hard to achieve her goal: becoming an influencial k-pop idol who makes a (good) change in the world, or at least her country.
