travel

So I'm sitting at the airport waiting for my flight home home from what was a really fun weekend. Me and p did a lot of fun stuff and talked about life and had a great time. I also took a trip to New York after flying up for work and got to spend time with blechy cyghfer and dram which also great, although I wish I could've been there long. The idea that I have friends good enough that I'd fly across the country to see them having met because we happened to play similar old video games quickly is kinda surreal to me. GDQ is fun and I love seeing everyone but these individual trips have been really meaningful to me. I wish it didn't cost me a plane trip to see people but I've loved doing it. I'm considering another trip before summer is over in addition SGDQ too. So while I haven't really been heavy on speedrunning or the community as a whole for the past 3 years, there are a those of you that have meant a lot to me so thanks for being here.

Life is pretty good right now. I still have things to figure out for myself but after talking and thinking about it I believe I'm in a pretty solid place. Am motivated to improve more than I have been in quite a while.
