  1. [9:15 PM] Eon: After a sheepish realisation, our heroes turned around to try to enlist Graves to help us. While he himself was unable to leave his station, we gained an ally in Sern, and a lot of information* after all was said and done. Saying our goodbyes, we headed to another lead, the cultists of the Cradle of the End. Prior scouting revealed that they were worshipping a piece of the Cradle itself, and after a bit of preparation, our heroes stormed the cultists. The fighting, was interrupted by the temple begining to collapse on itself. While it was tempting to capture (or save, for Razmik) more cultists, the party thought wiser and evacuated.
  2. [9:15 PM] Eon: In the end, we captured two cult leaders and several mooks, who we intend on interrogating.
  3. [9:16 PM] Eon: *the 'demon seed' is likely the work of Grazz't, and can be intercepted, and if so, would prevent the worst of the Abyssification.

  5. [9:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: ... The interrogation against the cultists will commence, now. Getting information from cultists can prove to be challenging, however... You have time, of course, to prepare before they wake up from unconsciousness, to organize however you with to extract the informations that you may desire and that they may know.

  70. [9:36 PM] Bot Fodder: John suggests beginning the interrogation without using Zone of Truth. "If it stops someone from lying, they'd just refuse to say anything. Roughing them up won't work, so we should let them believe they can fool us. We'll cast the spell afterward."

  105. [9:44 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Given a pat-down, those cultists are of exceptional poverty, having no noteworthy material possessions beyond what's necessary for their rituals - including, of course, their life.

  132. [9:55 PM] Mizuki: Alicia stares at the cultists. And at her friends. - "What's going on around here?"

  134. [9:55 PM] Eon: "Interrogation. The usual." Esker shrugs.

  137. [9:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The common cultists shout profanities, declaring that there's nothing they'll tell you.
  138. [9:56 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The two leader cultists are a lot more calm in their demeanor, waiting for you to do something.
  139. [9:56 PM] Bot Fodder: John pulls Alicia off to the side and explains that these are cultists who worship the Cradle, and we're interrogating them for info. Hopefully, they will know something about the 'seed' and its demonic sponsor.

Time is running out, unfortunately." - She nodded. - "But first lets take a look at those guys."

  170. [10:03 PM] Runic: Lexon sits down on the floor and decides to speak out, "Well if what we're doing doesn't matter... what are you guys doing that is? What's the point of worshipping the Cradle if it's gonna end anyway?" he asks curiously

  176. [10:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The Cult of the False Moon worships the Cradle of the End, in hope that the End will come - a peaceful time when all shall be equal in death.
  177. [10:04 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Often, it's filled with men who are met with injustice in life, or downtrodden in luck.
  178. [10:05 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: For some, the best ending is one in which everyone else end up where they are as well.
  179. [10:05 PM] Mizuki: "I'm no fair maiden." - She said getting up looking down on them. - "Look, whatever happened, there are still ways to fix it, or do something about it. But that's all over, if the world ends. You will die regretting or lamenting."

  181. [10:05 PM] Eon: "I really don't think we'll get too much out of the rabble." Esker motions to the closet.

  184. [10:06 PM] Bot Fodder: John knocks on the closet door and consults the closetmaster as to whether there are vacancies.

  186. [10:06 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They seem to be commoners, for the most parts, who have had their thoughts scrambled.
  187. [10:07 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "There's no regret, the End is nigh and we shall all rest in peace, together."

  189. [10:07 PM] Mizuki: "Hah. If you think peace is what is coming for us all, you're dead wrong." - She said.
  190. [10:07 PM] Eon: Esker looks at Alicia with a dry, almost smug look. Yeah. Rabble.

  194. [10:08 PM] Bot Fodder: John looks back and sighs, melancholy. "Look, Alicia. I understand how you feel, but these people have been eating a lot of nonsense for a long time, now. I don't think we can convince them in a day."

  207. [10:10 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: In fact, there's a degree of pity in their eyes, as they regard you, the unbelievers.
  208. [10:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The two leader cultists seem to be patiently waiting for their turn.
  209. [10:11 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They have little contribution to make to the conversation at hand, at least.
  210. [10:11 PM] Eon: Esker's attention has long turned to the leaders.
  211. [10:11 PM] Mizuki: Alicia rises again. - "Do you have anything to say?" - She asked turning to the leaders.
  212. [10:11 PM] Eon: "Tell us what you will, about the 'demon seed'."
  213. [10:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: They shake their head, refusing to open their mouth.
  214. [10:12 PM] Eon: It's only a matter of ti-

  216. [10:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "... Humph." One of them seem surprised. "Demon seed."
  217. [10:12 PM] Eon: Esker holds up her hand.
  218. [10:12 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: The dark elf wizard approaches, quietly, looking at the two remaining cultists.
  219. [10:13 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: "You know of the prophecy?" He asks Esker.
  220. [10:13 PM] Eon: "Their will is strong, be wary, Idun." Still, she'll like to wait until they finish blabbering what they would.
  221. [10:13 PM] Mizuki: (Koga, question: Can I have scribbed the eldritch rend spell while I was awake?)
  222. [10:13 PM] Bot Fodder: John leads the common cultists into another room so they don't distract. He hopes time (and plenty of quality herbs) would be able to rehabilitate these people, some day.

  224. [10:14 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: (Mmmm, I suppose you can.)

  229. [10:16 PM] Eon: "When the time of reckoning comes, demons of Grazz't command will come from beyond this plane, seperated by not planar, but phyisical distance, and they will awaken the Cradle, and corrupt the world in the matter of about a day."
  230. [10:16 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: Merlin's nearby, not very interested in the whole deal.
  231. [10:17 PM] KogasaGaSagasa: She's mostly playing with Tot, actually, with Shadow having a quiet talk with Recelle.
  232. [10:17 PM] Eon: "Black spikes of ice from the sky, yadda yadda. Point is, Orixia will die."

  234. [10:17 PM] Mizuki: "Carry on, Esker." - Said Alicia approaching Merlin and taking out her spellbook. - "Hey, Merlin."
  235. [10:17 PM] Bot Fodder: John stands to the side quietly, carefully studying the two leaders. He notes every feature of their faces, every expression. He wants to get a feel for the kind of people they are. Are they puppeteers and villains, promised power in return for hastening the end of the world? Or are they puppets themselves, trying to 'help' humanity survive under an inevitable age of horror...(edited)

"Grazz't, however, is merely a tool in the awakening of our goddess, the Cradle of the End. Our goddess will awaken with the right condition and bring on the end. The demon's..." He shrugs. "The demon's a mere tool."
