- +Terran Downvale __ Yes - the term "duping delight" has been corrupted. That's why I only refer to it [when it actually happens] as "*genuine* duping delight" (which is a fleeting unilateral and suppressed so-called "micro-smile" that's entirely unintentional and unwanted) in order to create a distinction between actual instances of it and "their" corrupted portrayal of it.
- In the past I thought that the presence of "duping delight" was an indication of guilt. But now - as you have pointed out - I understand it's more that the person is [uncontrollably] leaking delight because the incident is [unprovably] fabricated *and deceiving vast numbers of people is incredibly funny* [to these scumbags].
- Because the participants cannot be expected to not smile the standard "damage control" for it is to focus on the "duping delight" (in the corrupted form) and point out to "normal people" that it means they are guilty - further convincing them it's a real event. *And so it's okay to release one's pent-up hate on the person who is being presented to us as the hate-worthy "criminal"*.
- This whips up vulnerable people into a frenzied hate response. Which then ripples through the population - and with repetition leads to changes in belief, personality, culture etc. Such emotional manipulation [magic] keeps the population stressed and without harmony.
- (It's also a way to get the population to turn on each other without any evidence - "he/she does not look how I would expect them to look - therefore they must be guilty". Encouraging "normal people" to fall for the same traps that "conspiracy theorists" get tangled up in.)
