  1. Lockpicking
  2.
  3. On the battlefield, locks can be found on doors, traps, and randomly spawned chests. All maps have locked doors that can provide passageways to flank the other side of the map or to unique positions. Some maps have varying traps, all of which can be disabled with lockpicking. Sometimes during games, locked chests will spawn on the map that hide large sums of gold and chances for shop items. Lockpicks are needed to unlock locks, and he difficulty scales by the level of the lock and any fortify lockpicking enchantments the player has. The novice lockpicking skill makes lockpicking 50% easier, which makes lockpicking both faster and more successful. Apprentice lockpicking adds the ability to trap unlocked chests, doors, and traps to be detrimental to enemies. Adept lockpicking makes opened doors last 50% longer, and expert lockpicking makes chests have 10% more gold. Master lockpicking makes lockpicks unbreakable, making one lockpick last indefinitely.
  4.
  5. Lockpicking in Real Time: Instead of pausing the game, lockpicking will appear on the player's screen while other players are free to continue playing. This makes lockpicking more on a timer, as players are defenseless when lockpicking. The lockpick item only provides one lockpick, but more lockpicks can be found when looting or pickpocketing.
  6.
  7. Trapping with Apprentice Lockpicking: After successfully lockpicking a lock, locks will become trapped, making opened doors and opened chests be able to damage any enemy attempting to unlock them. Open doors will appear to be locked for enemies, but when an enemy attempts to lockpick it, they will instead be damaged depending on the terrain. All doors have trap options for if they were trapped, such as poisoned arrows and falling flails. Traps on doors last for entirety of the door being unlocked. Open chests will read "Trapped" for teammates, but look normal and unopened for enemies. If an enemy attempts lockpicking a trapped chest, the chest will instead open and inflict the enemy with a Deadly Lingering Poison, and then disappear like normal.
  8.
  9. Locked Doors: Locked doors exist on all maps, and serve as secrete passage ways to enter parts of the map that would not normally be accessed. When a door is unlocked, it stays unlocked for the player and the players team for 60 seconds, and then goes back to being locked and must be picked to be opened. With adept lockpicking, the time increases to 90 seconds. While unlocked, the enemy team can still unlock it and use it. Locked doors that are trapped cannot be used or unlocked by the enemy team.
  10.
  11. Traps: Some traps can be found on maps, and vary between tripwires and pressure plates. Every trap has a hidden lock that can be picked which will disable the trap for the player and teammates for the entirety of the game. The trap's lock with apprentice lockpicking will reset if the enemy team has already disabled it. Thus, trapping traps just resets the trap if it was disable by the enemy.
  12.
  13. Locked Chests: Depending on the map, random locked chests have a chance of appearing. They will spawn in two locations on the map twice per game, meaning there are 4 locked chests to be found each game. The locks on chests range from Apprentice to Master, with higher leveled loot increasing on the difficulty of the lock. Chests last for 2 minutes if left unopened, with a countdown timer appearing on the top left corner of the screen when lockpicking, and disappears when opened. If a player is lockpicking when time runs out, the chest will still disappear. With apprentice lockpicking, open chests will read "Trapped" for teammates, but look normal and unopened for enemies. If an enemy attempts lockpicking a trapped chest, the chest will instead open and inflict the enemy with a Deadly Lingering Poison, and then disappear like normal. Gold amounts from the different chests are listed here, as well as the odds to get other items (scrolls, potions, and scrolls are picked at random from whatever price range the gold is listed at. So a chest with around 40-70 gold will have a chance to have either a potion, poison, or scroll worth 40-70 gold):
  14. -Apprentice lock (30%): 40-70g, 50% lockpick, 30% soulgem, 50% potion, poison, or scroll
  15. -Adept lock (35%): 60-90g, 75% lockpick, 40% soulgem, 60% potion, poison, or scroll
  16. -Expert lock (25%): 80-110g, 100% lockpick, 50% soulgem, 70% potion, poison, or scroll
  17. -Master lock (10%):100-130g, 100% lockpick, 100% soulgem, 30% potion, 30% poison, 30% scroll
