  1. “If this one might suggest a course of action, my wielder: this storm is unbecoming of a battle with a blade.”
  2.
  3. You take a moment to understand the meaning of your Blade’s words, but you come to understand her soon enough…
  4.
  5. …you agree with your blade that the storm is indeed a detriment to your battle.
  6.
  7. So, you cut the storm.
  8.
  9. ---
  10.
  11. You settle to send forward arcing lances of Destruction, to spread out amongst the area where your silvery opponent had been in a wide spherical space, but suddenly the entire battle changes completely and utterly.
  12.
  13. One moment, quite simply, there had been a storm, and the next, you are soaring through a clear night sky.
  14.
  15. You take it all in within a heartbeat, your mind rushes to take into account the change, and you bear witness to everything so that you may properly react.
  16.
  17. The moon, silvery and pure, hangs in the air with brilliant luminosity.
  18.
  19. Stars, typically no more than motes of light due to humanity’s efforts, are a thousand gleaming lances of differing colors.
  20.
  21. The outcropping of city below, which you’d taken great efforts to avoid firing upon, is burning with a dozen or so individuals fighting. You can only hope that your peerage, and that of your sister’s, is faring well against the force brought against them. Miyakuro lingers on the edges of the battlefield, Gungnir hanging predatorily at his side and casting a deadly gleam, and you can imagine him waiting for the opportune moment to strike.
  22.
  23. Your opponent, a godlike being wielding a sword and clad in beautiful robes, stands in the air as you do. She is, for the first time, visible to you completely and utterly. While you still cannot sense her magic or track her by any means, you can now lay your eyes upon her well enough. That would suffice for your coming victory.
  24.
  25. Then, you lay your eyes upon the being flying above you all with fourteen pinions of light emanating from his back. For a split second, you sense his magic and think him no more than a very skilled Sorcerer with a flair for the dramatic and particular skill in arcane meteorology. His raw power is nowhere near that of beings such as yourself or your sister, but certainly enough to force a storm away.
