Appearance: Mandrake has a very fancy appearance, compared to others. He has porcelain skin, golden eyes (with the right one covered with a brown eyepatch), dark eye-shadow and usually a standoffish expression. He has pinkish-rose hair with a bang at the front, with the upper back styled into green-dyed spikes, while the lower portion is straight and dyed blue, with a braid dyed white. For clothing, Mandrake wears a dark pink tailcoat with folded yellow cuffs, a black vest over a white ruffled shirt and a large frilled jabot. A buckled sash is present, wrapped around his chest as well. Over his clothing, he wears a long grey-lined maroon cloak made of a very fine type of silk. He wears light-colored pleated pants that are tucked into calf-length low-heeled black pointed shoes, with gold-colored toes. He often has a laid-back stance, resting one or both of his arms behind his back. Mandrake is never seen without his imp-like "pet", Obra.
Personality: Mandrake has a very robotic personality; He is generally quiet, stoic and aloof, keeping a modest demeanor towards virtually anything around him. He is highly analytical, pragmatic and logical and has no tolerance for rampant emotionalism, always keeping an eerily calm and matter-of-fact behavior towards his peers. Mandrake valorizes autonomy, independence and novel possibilities, referring to them as a "new art for the world". This may be one of the reasons why he can be very creative, given certain moments. Given his inhumane trait, he is often cold, reserved and unresponsive, along with having the annoying tendency of pointing facts based upon logic and rationality, as he believes that Logic and Science explains and defines all. Intuitive and quick-witted, he can be quite charming, even in his quiet reserve, and may be very surprised by the high esteem in which his colleagues hold for him
Semblance: Also compared to some characters, Mandrake's Semblance is very peculiar and unique. Named "Nexus Field" by his parents, Mandrake is capable of creating, shaping and manipulating gravitation and gravitons, which together are related to "gravity" as a whole. He can bend gravity to make the environment very "heavy" or "light", cause objects to “fall” toward another object instead of the earth (“nexus inducing”), flatten objects, and generate miniature black holes to compress objects into oblivion. He can repel and attract matter and energy regardless of its mass or move objects in a manner similar to telekinesis. Mandrake can also create constructs made of gravitons in order to act on his behalf. He can also speak through it and see through its field of vision, effectively granting him advantage upon his opponent. Whenever he uses his Semblance, he glows a eerie purple aura, while a creepy bell toll sound is heard.
Weapon: Mandrake wields a heirloom of his family, namely a ornamental cane. The cane is coated with shiny black lacquer, while at the top, there is a metallic structure of a silver snake's head, which has green crystal eyes. The snake's head, however, is the handle of a long, straight one-edged sword concealed inside the cane. Mandrake can also utilize his Semblance through the sword to drastically augment its cutting power.
