SoB's Realism Build for GTA 5

  4. THESE INSTRUCTIONS SHOULD BE IMPLEMENTED IN ORDER FROM TOP TO BOTTOM, OMITTING NOTHING. IT'S A LOT BUT RESULTS IN A BASE GAME EXPERIENCE UNLIKE ANY OTHER.
  5.  
  6.  
  7. Vanilla install, then:
  8.  
  9. install Community Script Hook V version ScriptHookVDotNet v2.10.9 (intentionally downgraded), Script Hook V latest version
  10.  
  11. Run the game once, and save.
  12.  
  13. create a scripts folder in the gta v root directory
  14.  
  15. fully install the following (follow the directions for each):

  45. open Open IV and turn on Edit mode.

  47. Go to mods-->update-->  update rpf and delete pedhealth.meta and weaponarchetypes.meta.

  49. then go to mods---> update --->update rpf ---> ai  
  50.  
  51. delete the following .meta files:
  52. weapons
  53. weaponanimations
  54. weaponcomponents
  55. pedbrawlingstyle
  56.  
  57. then go to mods---> update --->update rpf ---> effects
  58.  
  59. delete the following .dat files:
  60.  
  61. explosionfx
  62. weaponfx
  63. wheelfx
  64.  
  65. install:

  67. https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/increased-deformation-gta-iv-vehicle-damage
  68.  
  69. OPTIONAL: extract handling.meta, download and extract https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gtav-handling-editor , and load the handling.meta you're now using. Then hold down SHIFT + right click on the Deformation
  70.  
  71. variable, and multiply all deformation from the mod above's settings by 135 (135%). Press B to recompile the meta file and insert it back into updates --->updates rpf ---> common ---> data using OpenIV.
  72.  
  73. UNZIP but do not install https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/zippo-raided-blood-gore , THEN
  74. change all the OIV extensions to ZIP.
  75.  
  76. open RAiDERSViOLENCEOVERHAULpt1.zip , and open the assembly.xml contained within.
  77.  
  78. Delete the lines:

  88. change RAiDERSViOLENCEOVERHAULpt1.zip back to an .oiv extension.

  91. open RAiDERSViOLENCEOVERHAULpt3.zip , and open the assembly.xml contained within.

  124. -GO TO mods\x64c.rpf\anim\ingame\clip_combat@.rpf
  125. -DELETE combat@death@from_writhe.ycd

  129. in OPENIV with edit mode on, go to \mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\ and create a folder called "custom_maps" (without the quotes).

  131. download https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/mapeditor-2-ymap-converter and open the Example DLC Pack ---> custom_maps folder and drag the dlc.rpf file into the mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\custom_maps folder with edit
  132.  
  133. mode on in OPENIV.
  134.  
  135. then, go to update --->update.rpf-->common---> data and extract dlclist.xml, and add a line under the last <Item>: this line is <Item>dlcpacks:/custom_maps/</Item> and save the changes, and drop the dlclist.xml

  137. back into OpenIV where it was.
  138.  
  139. open the dlc.rpf file in OpenIV and download https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/vinewood-villa , getting the ymap no people version and dragging VinewoodVilla1.ymap.xml into the dlc.rpf file (there should be a
  140.  
  141. sample file called marina here already). It will autoconvert to the appropriate ymap format.
  142.  
  143. download https://www.gta5-mods.com/maps/sandy-shores-redux-by-jaaag-v1-0-official and drop the ymap file inside into the dlc.rpf file where you dropped VinewoodVilla1.ymap.xml
  144.  
  145. Download https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/a-new-gta and install it. I don't know if the Update 1.2, 1.3 folders etc need to be installed but just to be safe I installed them in ascending order, manually, using
  146.  
  147. OpenIV in edit mode.
  148.  
  149. install https://www.gta5-mods.com/misc/remove-reticle-crosshair ,  (NOTE, YOU WILL NOT HAVE A RETICLE FOR NORMAL WEAPONS AND, MORE CRITICALLY, SNIPER RIFLES. This is normal)

  151. and then download and extract https://www.gta5-mods.com/tools/gta-v-weapon-editor
  152.  
  153.  extract your weapons.meta file from mods--> common.rpf -->data ---> ai . Open the meta file in the weapons editor you just downloaded, and move your mouse over "Accuracy Spread". Hold down shift and right click
  154.  
  155. that function. Type in "350" (without the quotes) to increase ranged weapon spread.
  156.  
  157. Press B to recompile the meta file and re-insert it where you found it using open IV in edit mode.
