  1. When using the Soul Forge, the party can forge one of two different items derived from a powerful soul they have acquired on their travels. The possible items to create are listed below. Souls and treasures that are unavailable to acquire are marked with a *, while ones that have been forged are marked with a #.
  2. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  3.
  4. *SOUL OF THE PALE MOTHER:
  5.
  6. 1. *Broodling Bow
  7.
  8. >Ranged/Great, no critfail disadvantage
  9.
  10. A many-holed longbow forged from the gnashing jaws of the Pale Mother of Cracked Spine Cave. The string is of the finest gossamer.
  11.
  12. Much as the Mother's children sought their targets with no eyes to guide them, such does this bow seek its wielder's enemies relentlessly. The magical arrows fired from this bow will always meet their mark, guided as they are by their progenitor's monstrous will to thrive.
  13.
  14. 2. #Chitin Cuirass
  15.
  16. +3 hits; deals 1d3 points of acid damage when struck by a crit from a physical blow
  17.
  18. A heavy suit of armor forged from the myriad shells of the Mother's children. Rough and uncomfortable to the touch.
  19.
  20. This unorthodox armor piece is a surprisingly sound method of protection, not hesitating to lash out on its own when grievously struck. On occasion the cuirass can be observed to shift slightly, as if it retained some fragment of sentience.
  21.
  22. WAYMAR'S SOUL
  23.
  24. 1. Bloodline Infusion
  25.
  26. A vial containing the memories of the infamous Marshal Waymar of the Shells of Light. Apply to the Bitter Blade to realise its full potential.
  27.
  28. Waymar's beloved sword had been passed down through his family for generations, dating back to the legendary Sarnathi king Woad Stormeye. Its powerful yet hidden magic made its wielder's foes underestimate it in combat, until it was unleashed in all its fury.
  29.
  30. (when applied, automatic instant, recharge 5 after effect ends: +2 and autocrit on a chosen foe during combat for 5 rounds)
  31.
  32. 2. Old Music Box
  33.
  34. >once per combat
  35.
  36. A weathered ebony music box with an image of a forlorn-looking female griffon on the lid. It shimmers unnaturally on occasion.
  37.
  38. The haunting melody it emanates conjures the spirit of its former owner to aid its new bearer in combat. His motives for doing so are unknown, for dead men tell no tales.
  39.

  41.
  42. HEADSMAN'S CORE
  43.
  44. 1. Pillar of Mercy
  45.
  46. >Great/Single
  47.
  48. >recharge 1; detect evil presences in the area
  49.
  50. A monstrous axe once wielded by the royal headsmen of Ortague. It has shed the blood of many, both innocent and guilty. It is covered in tallies for every victim of Coronus'.
  51.
  52. This axe seems to have a magical connection with the guilty. When held in both hooves, its power can be channelled to sense nearby evil.
  53.
  54. 2. Hiltless Blade
  55.
  56. >Single
  57.
  58. >wielder loses 1 hit every time an attack is made. In return, an attack with this weapon will hit on 4+ and crit on 7+.
  59.
  60. A slender, narrow blade forged from the chassis of Headsman Coronus. Cuts exquisitely, but provides no protection for its wielder's grip, causing them to injure themselves with every swing.
  61.
  62. Perhaps this self-mutilation is a form of atonement in its own way. After all, no creature is without sin.
  63.
  64. GUILLOTINE DEMON
  65.
  66. 1. Mangler
  67. >Great
  68.
  69. >2 hits or 1 wound restored every time an enemy is slain in battle
  70.
  71. Weapon belonging to the terrible Guillotine Demon, crafted from the bones of many of its victims. The bloodstains on this weapon will not come out no matter how much it is cleaned.
  72.
  73. The signature weapon of the beast that terrorized southern Rin. This hefty blade lusts for blood, rewarding those that wield it with its victims' own life force. If it is not satiated, the weapon will starve and eventually crumble to dust.
  74.
  75. 2. Demon's Fang
  76.
  77. >Single
  78.
  79. >double damage on a crit
  80.
  81. Large canine tooth pried from the maw of the Guillotine Demon and reshaped into a shortsword. Its serrated blade pierces flesh easily, causing its victims to bleed profusely.
  82.
  83. An unorthodox weapon to be sure, but its wicked, tearing edges are sure to leave its victims scarred both physically and mentally.
