  4. 1. Remove "every area is a dungeon" rule
  5. 2. Limit # of heals to 10 (any type of HP or PP heal counts and is allowed; this includes centers, heals inside dungeons, PP restoring items, PP Ups, HP restoring items, and healing moves. PP Maxes count as 3 heals to avoid being too broken)
  6. 3. Unban Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Full Restore, PP Max, and many healing moves
  7. 4. Allow unlimited use of Viridian and Pewter Marts (they sell Potion/Antidote/Paralyz Heal/Awakening/Burn Heal)

  12. PROBLEM: Difficult to understand/follow the dungeon rule
  13. SOLUTION: Instead of "every area is a dungeon," just limit # of centers
  14.  
  15. PROBLEM: Every area is a full clear unless you get statused
  16. SOLUTION: Allow 10 HP/PP heals for the whole run (any type of HP or PP heal counts and is allowed; this includes centers, heals inside dungeons, PP restoring items, PP Ups, HP restoring items, and healing moves. PP Maxes count as 3 heals to avoid being too broken)

  18. PROBLEM: The Elite Four is too easy
  19. SOLUTION: Allow 10 HP/PP heals for the whole run (forces skipping trainers because of low HP/PP)

  21. PROBLEM: Random statuses (especially contact statuses) kill otherwise good Pokemon
  22. SOLUTION: Allow Viridian and Pewter Marts

  24. PROBLEM: Max Elixir is too broken
  25. SOLUTION: Allow 10 HP/PP heals for the whole run (forces you to skip a center as a result, so you would likely only want this on E4 for specific mons)

  28. SOLUTION: Unban Flamethrower, Thunderbolt, Full Restore, PP Max, and many healing moves

  30. PROBLEM: Some high-power are too broken/too obvious for Move Tutor selection
  31. SOLUTION: Allow 10 HP/PP heals for the whole run, thus nerfing the 5-15 PP high-power moves

  34. SOLUTION: Count it as one of the 10 heals

  36. PROBLEM: Full Restores are too obvious to purchase
  37. SOLUTION: Allow 10 HP/PP heals for the whole run (forces you to skip a center as a result, so you would likely only use for Brock/E4)

  39. PROBLEM: Forest shop is arbitrary
  40. SOLUTION: None, because it's more important to be able to candy/stone to avoid early luck-based deaths, plus there's skill in choosing your items

  43. SOLUTION: They're hurt by the lower E4 level than most mons

  48. EVALUATION: TBD (needs testing)

  50. NEW PROBLEM: Very few people will run this
  51. EVALUATION: Likely true for any ruleset not created by Pie, and especially true for any skill-based run, so not much we can do

  53. NEW PROBLEM: Extrasensory is by far the best move
  54. EVALUATION: Awkward, but it's only broken for Psychic mons pre-E4, and 30 PP doesn't carry entire sections

  56. NEW PROBLEM: Too hard to find a good mon
  57. EVALUATION: Probably still reasonable because of stones, candies, and additional item flexibility
  58.  
  59. NEW PROBLEM: Too similar to Survival
  60. EVALUATION: Move tutor and lack of arbitrary rules make it much better in theory (needs to be play tested first)
