1. With all of my fuss trying to balance stats, some people may be wondering "Well, how are the player's stats going to grow?
2. First of all, Sp. Energy will not grow per level up, but can be boosted by items or completing tourneys
3. ----------------------------------------------------------
4. As of now, the stats will grow by roughly 1/10th of their base stat (Fortune Tellers get an average 6.3 Sp. Attack, Liontamers get 4 Charisma, etc) per level up, but there will be other ways to increase stat growth
5.
6. ----------------------------------------------
7. Items
8.
9. Similar to how Sp. Energy can be boosted, there's ways to boost stat growth via items or tourneys. After a certain amount of tourneys are completed, some completion prizes for completing high level tourneys include equipment or even consumable items that increase stat growth. For example, if someone were to complete a tourney, they may have a chance to obtain an item that boosts the growth of one stat by 1.5. Players can even find NPCs that will give these items out, but it is very rare, and most will attack the player for it.
10.
11. The items that boost stat growth will be based off of the stat capsules in MMRPG. For example, an item that boosts Health growth may be called "Health Capsule"
12. ----------------------------------------------------------------
13. "Other"
14.
15. I will be trying to refine this before the game starts, so it might be a bit rough at the moment.
16. This will be based off of "stat experience" from Gen 1 Pokemon, and will scale with the player progressing, maybe.
17.
18. When defeating an enemy, the player will gain those stats as points. For example, a Nurse defeating something with 34 Charisma gains 34 Charisma points. The most points a player can have to their stat is 6400. Every 1065 points, the player will have about +1 growth per level in that stat, although how effective the effects of these stats are determined by:
19.
20. [P/1065 * (G/3.3)] = E
21. P = Stat Points
22. G = Base Stat Growth, or level 1 stat/10
23. E = The effect. This value is added to the player's base growth
24.
25. The reason why the Growth of the player is being divided by 3.3 is because "33" is the stat average for all 8 of the classes. If a player has 1065 points in Defense, but has a base of 18 defense, they're going to get a mere +0.55 growth, compared to someone with the same amount of points with 41 base defense (+1.25).
26.
27. I'll try and add more if this doesn't make sense
