Centuries ago an extraterrestrial race had waged countless wars amongst other species. As the wars continued to wage on, the extraterrestrials had suffered and their armies had dwindled to nearly nothing. Finding themselves in need of more soldiers, the extraterrestrials decided to modify the genes of intelligent creatures they found on planets across countless galaxies. Their ultimate plan was to create warriors, slaves amongst others that could fight alongside them. One of the planets they decided to visit, was planet Earth.
Upon entering Earth, the extraterrestrials had captured various humans and began to experiment on them. Using their blood, they altered their genetic make-up that gave them a potential that, once being activated would give them superhuman abilities. Though, the genetic modifications could only be activated by a very specific gem, they were called Sylph Crystals. Another group of extraterrestrials had found out their plans of altering the genes of humans to create an army and came to Earth to shut down the experiments, a few of those gems had been fortunately left behind.
Once the extraterrestrials had been captured, they had believed their experimentation had failed. The altered genomes however, were passed down from generation to generation.
Throughout the decades, a large variety of these descendants managed to unlock their powers. However, their origin along with the crystals' was still a mystery that no one could ever solve. The sylph crystals had been scattered amongst earth, some were found by chance while others had hunted them down. For almost three centuries now, meta-humans were no longer a thing that was left to the imagination. During those three hundred years, there had been a few that had kept themselves very well hidden from society.
Upon recently, that hidden life that was so familiar to the meta-humans was no longer safe.
A group of meta-humans had created a safe haven that didn't want to go through this change alone. Everything was peaceful until an organization known as Malum, that had been almost been around since the day there had been meta-humans. Malum decided to put an end to the meta-humans once and for all.
With the safe haven now destroyed, Malum had the crystals in their possession, until a meta-human had used the last of his strength to make the company plane crash. Tons of sylph crystals now sank down to the very bottom of the ocean. Slowly but surely, as the crystals had disintegrated, the crystals had contaminated the water. Soon enough, the contaminated water had entered the Earth's ecosystem and the Earth's human population was the only consumer that could be affected.
Without a warning, the outbreak happened and it had taken over worldwide. It had made headlines and prompting organizations to be formed or created public. Meta-humans were to be either hunted down or help one another. Within the first few weeks it was complete and utter chaos, to this day the world has yet to forget about the incident and never will. The division amongst people was now greater than ever.

In a small and quiet town in Colorado, tensions are rising high. Rosenthal presents itself like any other small towns in the world. Quiet, innocent, and bright. However, unlike any other town, the closer you got the more darker the town became. There had been many secrets, the less than decent people ran shady businesses. Every town has their secrets, but now Rosenthal had one more thing to add to their list: the amount of meta-humans that inhabited the city. Like every other place in the world, Rosenthal has those that are against and in favor of the existence of meta-humans and those that simply choose to not pick a side.
