  1. You are *Anon*. Things went up and down lately and after all that stress you needed some free time in a relaxing place. Yet you wanted that place to have some flair to it in order to not be a total bore. Beach City seemed like a good choice. You heard about the alien that wanted to destroy Earth but was stopped by a song. You are dying to see how the town looked and what its residents are like.
  2. You heard about those "Gems" but had yet to see more than a blurry screenshot on the blog of some conspiracy making weirdo.
  3.
  4. >"Fucking ayy lmaos" you snicker to yourself as the bus arrives at the other side of Beach City.
  5.
  6. >You booked a two week stay at a hotel called "Homeworld's Rest" that was praised for its beautiful location by the very boy who saved the Earth.
  7.
  8. >You take your luggage and make your way through and admire the landscape while you're at it.
  9.
  10. >You stop at a sign labeled "Little Homeworld" with a path going down that leads to several buildings, many of which are still being worked on. It's here that you get your first real glimpse at Gems. They come in all sorts of shapes, heights and colors.
  11.
  12. >"Some are much prettier than others" you think to yourself. They don't seem that alien either. You come across a group of purple ones with an orange and a little red one accompanying them. They spot you out of the corner of their eyes and wavy friendly at you.
  13. You stop walking, briefly stand still to see if they mean you. After looking around you can confirm that they are indeed waving at you.
  14. You put on an awkward smile and wave back. The little red one breaks out in laughter.
  15.
  16. >"Just like at home" you grumble to yourself
  17.
  18. >As your walk continues you find yourself deeper and deeper in the town with more and more busy gems around you.
  19.
  20. >You take a good look at the environment around you and forget to look out in front of you as you do so. That's when you bump into something big.
  21.
  22. >"Huh? Oh, Hi! You seem a lil' lost there, need any help?" asks a big, purple gem with multi colored drealocks. You have to tilt your head far back to keep eye contact with her.
  23.
  24. >"Me? Uh, I'm just looking for a hotel-"
  25.
  26. >"Oh, you must mean Homeworld's Rest, righ? HAH, of course you do!"
  27.
  28. >"Yeah, how did you know?"
  29.
  30. >"Heh, it's the only one of its kind around. We built it ourselves!" she flexes an arm as she proudly describes all the work that went into it. "Though we don't have that many visitors. Gems don't need to sleep or eat so we just kinda to continue on the rest of Little Homeworld. Our few visitors are either people that already live in Beach City or the occasional Gem that just wants to show some appreciation" she sighs. "But hey, we finally got someone new! Its just over there!" She points at a building much smaller than the hotels you were used to. Going from the pictures online you expected it to be just one of many. But it being this small while being this tiny surprised you to say the least. You tried to hide your surprise though as you didn't want to hurt the gems feelings. You give some nice compliments and make your way in.
  31.
  32. >You are unethusiastically greeted by a blue gem that seems pretty bored with her job.
  33.
  34. >"Welcome to Homeworld's Rest the place where people and gems rest, name please"
  35.
  36. >*Anon Y. Mous* you reply
  37.
  38. >She nods, not even checking anything to verify if you're speaking the truth or not.
  39.
  40. >"Peridot! We got someone bring him to his room!" She yells
  41.
  42. >A tiny, green Gem in equally green bellboy uniform comes running at you.
  43. "Oh my stars, finally someone new, let me bring you to your room!" The door to the elevator suddenly opens and she carelessly throws your luggage into it, one by one.
  44.
  45. >" You don't even get the chance to yell at her for hurling your belongings like that as she grabs your hand and runs into the elevator with you. You don't even see any buttons, she simply lifts her arms up and you can feel the platform beneath you levitate up.
  46.
  47. >"There we are! She sais as she begins to excitedly throws everything out at the wall in the corridor.
  48.
  49. >"I CAN CARRY THESE MYSELF, YOU GREML- err *clears throat*, you don't have to overwork yourself. I can carry these into my room myself. Uh, speaking of, which is it?"
  50.
  51. >"Hmm? Well, its room number 2. Not like we have much other rooms currently available since that orange clod made a mess when she thought she could lift the construction materials. You're one of our two only guests. She bluntly replies.
  52.
  53. >"Who's the other one?"
  54.
  55. >"Oh, I don't think you'd get along that well. She needs some free time for herself, she sais and mostly just locks herself into her room. Don't worry about it, just enjoy your stay!" she sais as she hands you over your key and goes back into the elevator. A loud THUD as she slams down.
  56.
  57. >You decide to ignore it and open the door, the room looks comfier than you expected. The portrait of a green alien with a bow tie is an odd choice but you like it.
  58.
  59. >By the time you unpacked everything its already night. The walk and all the impressions tired you out so you decide to rest.
  60.
  61. >You close your eyes and listen to the rushing waves of the ocean. The location really is wonderful. If it wasn't for one thing.
  62.
  63. >As you listen you pick up something else thats bound to keep you awake. You're confused as to what could possibly be the source of that noise
  64.
  65. >It sounds like synchronized footsteps and squeaking.
