- Ra folds his fingers, resting his chin upon their backs and his elbows upon the table listening to the report he should have read himself many weeks ago; after all he is supposed to be on that part of the council that over sees the Magical Mercenaries. Rhulan had absorbed the power from an Overlord class Mystic Monster; and then assumed the form of an Overlord class Mystic Monster herself, but of a different type than that which she drained. Then upon being bombarded with holy light magic she assumed an angelic form....Ra closes his eyes, and here she assumed a fiery almost Red Djinn like form upon absorbing his fire magic. A strange trait, but adaptive elemental powers are not unheard of in their studies, granted the Mystic Monster part stands out as extremly unusual, or that Rhulan could only adapt to magical versions of the elements or else in all liklihood she would have gone all fire elemental long before they ever encountered her.
- "This Amana business," interjects Ra, "has me considerably more concerned."
- "You suspect what we do then?" suggests Isis, "that Rhulan is a young Amana? An Amana must have sired her in Reality-Q and then left her at an orphanage for what ever reason."
- "That," says Ra, closing his eyes and taking a deep breath, "Or an Amana that has limited its own powers...this Cataclysm thing you describe Isis feels a tad too...pre-designed, given how Rhulan described it to you...progress bars she can only feel when absorbing, kept in her subconcious. I understand they can also limit their own memory and access to their vast knowledge. In our line of work we encounter such beings, but not on a common basis; I am none to happy with the prospect one may be here...toying with us."
- "What if she is not an Amana," states Tikara, "You are jumping to a deep end conclussion, after all there are the Eldritch, the True Fae, mortal avatars of the Ahk have been known to produce supernatural offspring, as have the Shadows of Death, Elder Gods, the Elder Dragons, even Suihrai and Kuhrai have hybrid children sometimes displaying incredible powers...not to mention demons and angels; her powers so far have shown both demonic and angelic qualities; we all know more than a few demons that fit that fire transformation and thematic attacks too well. I could go on, after all we before we let her roam free and study did we not check on that Aesperia?"
- "We tried to," says Osiris, "However the portal between this world and there has been sealed."
- "Did you attempt a bypass?" asks Tikara.
- "We did," says Isis, "and again it supported our fear of Amana involvement, as we encountered a Lucetarian Time Block to Other World, it has been cut off from every reality...in so much that the type of block holds the threat that time in Other World for some reason is now moving at a crawl relative to most realities, a day in there could be years or even centuries anywhere else....aside from the Amana, we have only known the Amonel, the Ama'Zin, and the Aethera'ions to use such seals."
- "The Ama'Zin," continues Isis after a pause, "being a race born from an Amana mixing its essence with a True Fae and Eldritch...so technically Amana themselves...or will ascend to become them after a few hundred thousand years...on an individual basis...*sigh*...its like that headache with the Elder Dragons and their 500 year old offspring nonsense...why can't these ancient super ascended and what have you races ever have normal reproductive cycles...even vampires and therionthropes are simpler."
- "This is getting off topic," says Ra, "So chances are, she could be an Amana, or the offspring of one, based on Amana involvement. Indeed, it is exceedenly rare to encounter them without seeking them out; and even then we know specific ones...such as Sahralia, who is...*ahem* playing potentially at being a demonic Overlord; but we had another with her...who according to Ruby and Nefaria's reports showed a rather high interest in...and even came to the rescue of Rhulan....who has the rather suspicious last name as revealed on that mission of Rokonaka....as in the name of the sea of chaos from which the Amana come from...so no, elder council member Tikara, I do not believe we are dealing with any of those other races."
- Tikara places her index finger on the rune stone that has the reports in it and listens, "I...see,"
- After a pause Tikara gets a strangely pleased with herself smile, "If we are so certain of this, then perhaps give her a job that no one else has completed and has been on the back of the board out of sight for so long."
- "Which one did you have in mind?" asks Ra, "surely you don't suggest such a thing without a plan, I know you too well."
- "Indeed," says Tikara, "If she is an Amana, even a young one, then the easiest way to discover that, and potentially out her enough she won't return here...not that you couldn't just give her a free to come and go pass; but I guess without cause and reasons not to given the overkill on her first mission and fight with a Dimension Police officer it could cause friction with them and the Magical Mercenary ranks without explination...can't go telling them we may have an Amana here...imagine the fallout and fear that would cause."
- "I get the feeling I know which mission you mean," says Ra.
- "The Eldritch Queen Sokaria'unas?" asks Isis looking between them, "Given the jobs on the back of the board, that is the one that involves the Amana."
- "Sokaria'unas," says Tikara, "The Society of Sorcery and the Dimension Police have suspected for centuries that this Eldritch Queen is really an Amana assuming an avatar form, and using the pure life powers of the Eldritch to do what Amana seem so difficult at doing...reproducing, created offspring that not only may ascend some day as Amana, but will in turn, transform others into various types of Eldritch and create mutant offspring of new and ever more horrid abominations to spread out into the multi-verse...despite the Dimension Police official stance that Eldritch are natural forces of nature; they regard the Amana as simply a complex ascended race, same stance on the Amonel and Aethera'ion I understand; so if Sokaia'unas is an Amana, and this is confirmed they can swoop in full force to try and destroy her avatar body and put an end to her creating nightmare creatures to flood the multiverse...more of them that is...of course at this point she has already had three or four direct children, all of which responsible for at least a handful of offspring each."
- "As such," adds Osiris jumping into this conversation, "given how eldritch are, so few children despite so many transformed mortals, is highly unusual for them, and a possible sign of an Amana in a biological shell. But to get in there and confirmed she is one..."
- "Throw another Amana, that may not know it is an Amana at her..." says Ra, a smile creeping across his face, "Their so called *higher selves* and that insane territorial behavior such races display with clash, outing both of them. We can safely call in the DP to deal with both of them; without having to give a new comer a free travel pass, or expel someone without cause, raising no suspicions among our own ranks; just tell them some energy being tried to sneak in here and was outed...its perfect."
