Efficient 4+1s and speeding up advanced raids to max eff

  1. Things to note:
  2. Your team prescouting is as important as alting is if not more. It saves tremendous amounts of time.
  3. Scouts should always be 3c2p or 4c1p. 4c crope is not better than 3c rice currently.
  4. Optimal raids are 3 combat rooms with rope and crabs.
  5. If everyone is prescouting, you shouldn't hold a rice until mid olm and no one is currently holding a crope.
  6. Vasa Tekton Vespula Rice and Tekton Vasa Guardians Rice is about the same speed as an average crope. These are generally ok to hold anytime. Ask your alter.
  7. If scouting a rice, Ice should never be second. If it is you should bin the raid. Ice 3rd and last is ok for a rice.
  8. All vanguards should be binned unless max gear team and they choose to do Tekton Vespula Vanguard where you overload.
  9. If you have a scout ready during the raid, Pretype the scout with the world on your alt and enter it as the raid finishes.

  14. Starting out:
  15. Assign a role to each person before the raid is started so there is no confusion throughout the session.
  16. Prepot divines if instant overload raids if the alt isn't prepotting the team. (I.e Tekton Muta Guards)
  17. If it's first room guardians without a melee room after it (I.e Guards Mystics Shamans) Divine scb and take extra gear/food
  18.  
  19. The roles are as followed:
  20. Freezer
  21. Waters/Surge/Telegrab (Mist,Wrath,Law runes with a Tome if ice)
  22. Veng/Zgs/Rope crosser (this should be your highest agility not including your alter)
  23. Veng (this is for the alter)
  24. These roles are specific so the alter may log out or rake during a rope skip
  25.  
  26. Olm roles:
  27. If not all max gear...
  28. Best melee gear goes on melee
  29. Best mage/tank gear (arcane) should mage skip
  30. Other 2 run
  31. If all max gear...
  32. Roles are preference, Waters can be anywhere so it doesn't matter, alter generally decides where they want the rest is up for grabs.
  33. MAKE SURE TO ASSIGN THIS BEFORE RAIDS START
  34. Melee should be bringing Bgs in 4+1s, do not forget defender if vasa/guardians.
  35.  
  36. Gear setups:
  37. Maximize gear switches. This includes Tassets, Ancestral hat, and brimstone ring.
  38. Bring these according to your rotation/inventory setup.
  39. You shouldn't ever need more than 2 brews unless overloading and in that case you drop your scb/range potion for food.
  40. Each raid should be 2 restores. 3 restores if vespula.
  41. 1 Anglerfish, 1 Stamina, 1 Super combat, 1 Ranging, 2 Super restores, 2+ Brews. Change out rotation depending.
  42. For max gear raids, the only rotation where you don't bring anglerfish is Vasa Guardians Mystics due to the item requirements.
  43. Melee role should always bring bgs in 4+1 but don't forget to bring defender for guardians and vasa.
  44. Melee and mage should try to bring ancestral hat every raid.
  45. One of the veng roles may opt to bring a bgs along side DWH. This is because they don't always have to bring the Rune Pouch. Only BGS if the others DWH land, if not you should use your DWH and let the main BGS use their BGS after you.

  52. Raid basic rules:
  53. All boulders are instantly pushed, be sure to SCB pot.
  54. Alter SOLO rakes.
  55. If seeds first room make sure to drop either all or buchu. If mystics 1st, drop the 1st mystics seeds if alter requests. (this isn't common, happens if lucky secondaries)
  56. If seeds are second room bank the required seeds, generally only 1 space open per person so call which seed you're banking.
  57. NO RUN POOLS. Only use if you've used all your stamina doses in the final room. You do not need more than 20 run into olm, especially if stamina potion activated.
  58. If your alter has logged to help prep, whoever is 1st into final chest room tags the floor. call LOG in clan chat as soon as you enter the final chest room so they have time to log in while you're running to tag. The alter will log in about the exact time you go down if done properly. This saves a few seconds and is worth doing.
  59. If crabs are last room, it's nice to say C done (crabs done) when they're finished so alter has an idea of how long is left if they logged to help prep.
  60. Don't bring Supercombat/Ranging potion if 1st room is an overloadable room. divine Prepot and sip overload instantly.
  61. If rope skipping, you can bank blowpipe if there isn't mystics or mutadile. Freezer must always bring freezes.
  62. Try to clean chest as alter if time allows so people can gear smoother.
  63.  
  64. Overload rules:
  65. If only one overload room, alter can decide to use one and save the other make sure they announce before raid begins. (I don't recommend this as an alter unless crabs are last and its a chill raid rotation)
  66. If Mutadile and Tekton are in the raid, Sip the 1st ovl and drop for the team. Re drop or bank the other so the alt can sip for more points.
  67. For one overload boss rooms, If overloads are first room, drop for alter. Call this out so they know its their job to get them. They generally should assume this. If overloads are second room, BANK THEM DO NOT HOLD THEM, this makes it so alter can split while the raid is going on rather than splitting before going into olm which could be slower.
  68. If overload is second floor just carry them and split them before going into olm. Alter should have 2 empty vials for them in the chest always.
  69. Ask for help if you need carrying them.

  76. Alter:
  77. It's nice to prepot with your alt (stamina,supercombat,ranging potion) but it's not required since it can get expensive.
  78. Veng is also nice to have on your alt. Certain rotations/layouts could benefit from alt having veng if rope was before a veng room. (Tekton/Vasa)
  79. If doing all of these your required runes are: Steam, Astral, Deaths, Mud
  80. If just humidify its Astral, Fire, Water runes
  81. Range with blowpipe is the best method for scavs
  82. Have a... Hammer, Seed dibber, 1 rake, Spade, Rune pouch. If you choose to prepot the team grab range,scb,stamina each raid. You can choose to bring an antidote++ in case team gets shaman poisoned and no one brought a sanfew.
  83. After raid starts instantly kill scavs. Keep in mind how many pots you are prepping.
  84. The normal is 20 brews,10 restores,2 enhances, 2 overloads.
  85. At minimum you should have 22 juice, 12 shrooms, 4 cicely. 20 juice, 10 shrooms, 2 cicely if you don't need to prep overloads.
  86. Do not forget both of your planks, this can make you fail prepping for the raid. Always check before running away.
  87. After scavs grab the 1st room seeds if applicable.
  88. If you get seeds insantly, plant them then move onto the next step.
  89. Assuming you dont have anything else in your inventory and don't need to prep overloads, before you build chest grab an inventory of vials and fill them.
  90. Build the chest then bank vials, secondaries and your random items leaving your... Seeds, Seed dibber, Spade, Rune pouch. After banked grab another inventory of vials, bank 4 empties and fill the remaining. (this will be 18-21 vials depending on if you have seeds)
  91. This helps for the chest being cleaned towards the end of the raid making it simpler on you.
  92. 32 vials = no ovl, 35=1 ovl 38=2 ovl
  93. If chill rooms (not including vesp/tek/vasa) I recommend planting Nox/golp first.
  94. Farm your 2 nox, clear and plant buchu, farm your 6 golpar, clear and plant buchu.
  95. Clean them and run to chest get 6 vials, 2 empties, 2 of each secondary and make your overloads and split/bank them.
  96. You can get the vials/2nds while waiting for nox/golp to grow if you choose to.
  97. Drop your nox/golpar seeds after golpar seed planted to have a clean inventory for buchu.
  98. If high attention rooms (vesp/tek/vasa) Plant your buchu first and do your nox and golpar during more chill rooms.
  99. Alternatively, plant 1 nox, 1 buchu. Farm your nox, replace with golpar and farm buchu while your golpar grows.
  100. Generally your golpar will be ready when you have roughly 6 inventory spaces left.
  101. You can choose to farm the golpar and plant a buchu seed here.
  102. Make pots as you prefer once done.
  103. Remember to get 32 buchu MAX, assuming you have your 4 items in your inventory still, get a full inventory of 24, clean and bank them. farm 8 more clean then bank them.
  104. I deposit all my inventory in private at this point.
  105. I grab 12 vials, 2 empties, 2 cicely, 10 shrooms and the rest buchu. (28 inventory spaces) I make my enh split them, then restores first.
  106. After made, Grab all juice, buchu/vials This will fill you with 13 buchu + your juice.
  107. bank your enh/restores then grab the counter part, buchu/vials. this will give you 14 of the counter part.
  108. This is for smoother banking without having to grab a specific number of buchu/vials.
  109. Make the remaining brews.
  110. If your main logged to make pots I normally make ovls and enh/restores then setup my inventory and log out to get ready to go to olm. alt makes remaining brews during this time.
  111. I recommend banking all your unnecessary items and healing up with remaining supplies before you log out and wait for tag.
  112. Pre type info and watch alt's chat to see when to log in.
  113. Always prep enhances, its not worth assuming your team will grab and split them, this can also take more time going into olm so might as well prep them.
  114.  
  115. Mutadile:
  116. Blowpipe as normal and barrage small mutadile around 40-50% health. You don't need to swap gear normally.
  117. ZGS big mutadile with prot melee and melee gear around 40-50% health. If slow at switching, you can switch a bit sooner.
  118. Freeze the big mutadile if you have tekton, be in best mage gear possible while freezing.
  119. Use bells If you get that layout. This bugs big mutadile and makes it so you dont need to zgs/freeze.

  121. Mystics:
  122. When enterting you can bow the first hit and swap into blowpipe to maximize dps.
  123. You can also swap to bow after last hit on previous mystic and hit the next mystic thats not in blowpipe distance to avoid missing ticks.

  127. Shamans:
  128. Try to keep shamans away from alter.
  129. Know all the possible safespots these are very imporant
  130. Always hug walls to avoid shamans from jumping, this saves you tons of time.
  131. If safespot isn't possible try to have 1 person singled out to be focused by the shamans so the remaining people can just focus dps. This shouldn't ever be the alter

  133. Guardians:
  134. When entering the room hit the closest guardian first always, then hit whichever you want.

  137. Try to attack same time as your partner/team to avoid taking unneccesary damage.
  138. It's good to have alter on their own guardian so they can miss ticks safely and be the person who drops seeds while the team advances through the raid.
  139. Don't have 2 people dropping seeds its a waste of time, only one person should need to drop.
  140.  
  141. Vespula:
  142. Attack from the best tile possible to avoid vespula from getting to the grubs.
  143. Designate someone to feed, normally the alter wont feed unless they prefer to. If not all max gear the worst gear should be feeder.

  145. Tekton:
  146. Dump dwh specs, bgser should do 2 scythe hits then dump bgs
  147. You can claw is specs land, this is preference if you choose to bring them. Claw after bgser specs.
  148. If pulled back all the way and tick perfect you should get 2 specs and 5-6 scythe hits.
  149. If tekton isnt 0 anviled but is low hp, make sure to hit tekton instantly after anvil to kill him faster.

  151. Pay attention to where tekton is in the raid to know if you need to bank, drop, or use the overloads.
  152. Someone should help carry overloads if needed.
  153.  
  154. Vasa:
  155. Constantly veng previous rooms to make sure every is venged for vasa.
  156. Be prevenged with as high hp as you can given your supplies.
  157. Everyone enters the room.
  158. If you're not the two people under vasa after teleports make sure you have your prayers up to instantly hit vasa with rigour on.
  159. You can make your last hit on vasa with accurate before crystals.
  160. Be towards the crystal as you hit your last hit.
  161. Be towards exit as vasa is about to die.
  162. Team Claw if Vasa is 1st room and there is no tekton.
  163. Leave the pots you shouldn't need them.

  166. Normal rope:
  167. Do mages as normal, if bowing and your current mage is low hp you can hit the other mager to maximize your hit while your teammates finish off the first mager.
  168. Instantly tag a ranger after each is dead to avoid missing any ticks/dps.
  169. After the second ranger is almost dead someone may start crossing.
  170. Alternatively you can wait till a teammate tags the 3rd ranger then you can cross.

  172. Rope Skip:

  174. Crosser should be waiting at the rope for freezer to freeze. After you cross, pick up the crystal (make sure you have room for it while you're running to the rope), and drop it where you are standing, then cross back.
  175. Pray mage since you should be tanking a mager if the alter isn't there.
  176. Freezer should be freezing in as negative mage bonus as possible to ensure a splash. Freeze as soon as you possibly can.
  177. After you cast freeze hide behind the plant. Re freeze after they drop the crystal and are ready to cross back.
  178. Telegrabber should instantly tag a mager when they enter the room. Stand in the proper spot and hit the mager until ready to telegrab (make sure you have an open inventory space when you enter the room).
  179. The crystal should be under the feet where the crosser picked up.

  182. Crabs:
  183. Make sure you mark all the proper tiles unless your a comfortable without them. Always follow proper order when doing crabs and shift always.
  184. Do not run in and aggro all the crabs, pull with a distanced weapon to try to get only 1 on you.
  185. IF you aggro multiple, after each crystal bounces off your crab you have a few seconds to run away, smash your second crab and then move into your assigned position.
  186. Having multiple crabs on you can potentially slow you down.
  187. 1st person to enter should be pulling with ranged and running to the first tile instantly
  188. 2nd person should be ready for melee.
  189. For good crabs: After melee, pull the crab with mage until you're in the proper spot. Make sure it hits you towards the middle of the pull so you keep aggro.
  190. Alternatively if you have 2 crabs on you at melee, you can smash one before the orb gets to your crab and start setting up for the yellow crystal.
  191. 3rd person should be ready for mage (this person should be trying to stun crabs away from possibly hitting anyone during this downtime)
  192. If the alter is there, they can hold any stray crabs.
  193. Follow these proper tiles, shift where the arrows go.

  204. Ice Demon:
  205. When entering the room make sure you have 2 free spaces, equip hammer/defender if you need. Grab axe and tinder.
  206. Bank your whole inventory and pull out axe/tinder and chop an inventory of 20+.
  207. Light in your own brazier!!!
  208. If you're first or second to light you should have time to chop more logs to get more points, normally around 5-20 more depending on your woodcutting level.
  209. If alter needs, they can opt out of cutting to help make sure prep is finished.
  210. ALTER/FIRE SURGE NEVER RUNS ICE.
  211. Designate someone to run ice.
  212. Safespots are always NORTH or EAST.

  215. Dwh 1 time if olm is next and you have over 80 spec.
  216. Dwh 2 times if ice is early with no need for spec in the raid.
  217. If overloads are in the chest and split already, you can overload at ice and it should last you the entire raid.
  218. Keep your 1 dose on you for olm. This also allows you to brew while running to olm so you can go in with higher hp, and speeds up ice demon. This assumes you finish the raid with at least 2 minutes spare on average.

  223. After the final raids room you should be setting up your inventory, using any potions to heal up/ stamina potion.
  224. Never bank at the 1st chest unless you're splitting an ovl this is almost always slower.
  225. Do not get run at the pool unless no stamina and under 20 run.
  226. As you enter the final chest room, select private chest, bank your unnecessary items and then grab your pots.

  230. Everyone runs in and dwh, meleer should scythe once then bgs (applies to each phase)
  231. Olm should always be mage skipped
  232. If a spec room was towards end of the raid and everyone comes in with 30spec, melee should kill mage hand until dead and then everyone specs melee and kills melee.
  233. If you're specing late as a runner/mager while mage hand is still alive, do not mess up the head cycle. Spec when head goes from melee to mage side then swap back to mage gear and join the cycle.
  234. Maximize DPS always, runners shouldn't spam brew unless head gets messed up.
  235. Try to brew on 15seconds overload tick to keep maximum stats.
  236. *NOTE: overload timer sometimes gets off by 2-4 seconds due to a bug, you can brew at 30s but wont recover till 27s sometimes.
  237. Melee should switch from mage gear to melee the tick they do a mage attack to avoid missing any ticks after a cripple.
  238. Melee: If melee cripples around 50/40% mage hand health and uncripples before mage hand is dead, kill mage hand before attacking melee hand again to avoid re cripple so no ticks wasted switching from mage hand to melee hand.
  239. Magers/Runners: If you get a big xp drop on mage hand when its about to die, instantly start switching to melee gear to avoid missing ticks.
  240. You can equip your melee weapon first and click on hand then put on gear to avoid missing ticks.
  241. Always try to be doing damage during acid/crystals.
  242. Everyone should DD 1 square and the person with acid should run and do dps without ragging the team.
  243. Video reference: https://streamable.com/oyk3o *NOTE This probably isn't the most efficient method to avoid damage, it's just a simple method to do dps without taking maximum damage and not stepping on your team.
  244. If your teammate is on thumb after mage -> melee and you have acid/burn/crystal, still go for the attack even if it hits them, don't waste dps because they don't know to not be on thumb.
  245. You can be on top of eachother with burn until the 6th burn. Make sure everyone is seperated on the 6th burn.
  246. Bombs will explode 1 tick after olms attack actually hits you.
  247. Melee and mager should always hug the most outer walls on head phase to avoid flame wall.
