  1. A letter had been left behind after the young woman cleaned up her home for her parents. Beds made, clothing washed and placed away, dishes done if there were any, all plants watered and so on.
  2.
  3. She let her parents know she was leaving albeit she wasn't. The young woman stalked and lurked within the city during last night she might have been seen by guards before eventually departing.
  4.
  5. It wasn't permanent, however. There were things to think on. One specifically being a repair to her mentality, but she was working on that.
  6.
  7. Over the course of time, Vivica's link to the elemental had grown. At least her connection to the being was growing stronger, so that meant her mental strength had been too, correct? Sure, while she wasn't aware, but she was moreso focused on the broke pieces rather than fixing them, but now she was working on it.
  8.
  9. To fix what was broken.
  10.
  11. Meditation was a key factor.
  12.
  13. A letter was sent to Marina Seraph Azar, Blaze of the Eternal Flame. From what Vivica knew, the many of Champions were quite busy, but hopefully she could pull the woman first from her duties. It was stated for her to come where the dragon sleeps in the southern field for the first of the 'Champion's Battles,' so she'd know just who sent it out!
  14.
  15. And if she'd arrive, she'd spot the young woman, cloaked without her hood on and a silver crown adorning her pristine, white locks of hair. Vivica was on the ground in a deep state of mediation. Her mind was cleared of the faults she had, the worries she needed to fix, and the troubles that haunted her.
  16.
  17. Deep breaths. In an out. Winds gently breezed around the woman's form. Cold air in fact, but the cool breezes surrounding her helped keep her mind at ease. Was she falling into insanity? Or simply just desiring the attention of her parents? Either way, she knew she had to see them eventually and showing that she was broken wasn't the best way to approach them. Instead, she needed to keep her father's advice now.
  18.
  19. Calm. In order to keep a solid link with Niall and prevent herself from losing her shit, Vivica needed to continue building up her mental strength. These challenges would be just what she needed. To help her and show the city she was strong.
  20. (Vivica Loirdne)
  21. Marina had received the letter of challange long ago. Now she had gotten the one asking if she was ready. Not much was being done, the kids training was over for the day, work being supervised on the school she was working on opening here soon. Her own paperwork atteneded to. In other words she had been buy but she was efficent at her work, so to the cove she would head.
  22.
  23. Adorned in her full regal armor, The Drakanite arrives. Vivica rest there appearing to be doing some mental work, meditation. That was always a good thing. By now Marina had heard news of Vivica and what happened with Brenton. She was almost shocked to find the girl here, not really in Cinderfall but still close.
  24.
  25. Either way a challenge had been agreed to long before Vivica had left, so Marina was here, ready and able. This would be a good test of herself and the girl. The closest thing Marina would get to Vanarya was Cinderfall's resident strom magi, and that was the girl before her.
  26.
  27.
  28. Walking up Marina would clear he throat slightly to announce her presence. The gunblade was on her back of course, her own silver crown glinting in the sunlight. The Crest of the Blaze pinned to her chest, Azar clan cloak flowing behind her.
  29.
  30. "Hello"
  31. (Marina Seraph Azar)
  32. Before the woman had a chance to speak to announce her arrival, Vivica had peeked open an eye in her direction when she heard Marina's foot steps press and crunch into the grass below her.
  33.
  34. Despite what happened months ago with Brenton, the young woman was calm. Over the time she spent here, she recollected her thoughts, organizing herself to be better. To not give in again to whatever she lost to back then.
  35.
  36. What even was going on with her? No matter, these battles were a good test of strength both in power and mentality for the young woman, but how would it benefit the champions? Who knew! It was fun for everyone, including herself! The exhilaration of battle was one she desired constantly, thus she'd get them!
  37.
  38. "Hello, Marina." Vivica spoke outward towards her before rising from the ground on her feet. "How have you been lately?" A flat tone was spoken with, but can nontheless.
  39.
  40. "Are you ready to battle, or would you like to talk first about anything?" A faint smile was given towards Marina then.
  41. (Vivica Loirdne)
  42. It was going to be fun for everyone involved. A test of endurance as well. For her at least, the oldest of the "Champions". It was nice to see how she could handle herself. So far she had sparred Achyles a bit ago and had done good, Vivica of course was a step up from that, everyone knew by now that Vivica was a farily powerful magi, had been since she was done. In other words this was going to be a good experince for them both.
  43.
  44. Marina hadn't seen storm magic in use for many years now, she needed the practice against it if she was going to go forward with what she planned. She owed Vanarya a good ass beating after all.
  45.
  46. "I am ding well Vivica, I trust that you...better"
  47.
  48. She leaves it at that. Her own tone caring and not flat. People cared for her, worried for her. Maybe that was one of the things that she needed to remember.
  49.
  50.
  51. "I am ready if you are, if you wish to speak though we can, or we can talk after if there is anything on your mind"
  52. (Marina Seraph Azar)
  53. A nod of the woman's head was given towards Marina's words of her doing well. "Better, yes. You could say that. Actually.. there's a lot I want to talk about.. but they were things I wanted to speak with my parents about." She let out a sigh and continued.
  54.
  55. "They're just.. too busy. And now I've worried them." The young woman shook her head. "It's fine though. I just need some time away from the city and to.. well.. work on myself." One last nod of her head.
  56.
  57. Clouds began to roll in towards their location slowly. Thunder began to rumble and vibrate in the air.
  58.
  59. "Anyways, while there is a lot on my mind. There's something I've been wanting to show you and the other champions! You know Thom was an elemental summoner, well.." The woman's smile ceased her lips widely.
  60.
  61. "Watch this, Marina." She spoke in a much more cheerful tone before Vivica closed her eyes and held out her hand.
  62.
  63. In the void of her mind, the door to the spirit realm was seen. Uraheim, she thought more on it. The realm of water and storms as Batkem stated before. Waves crashing on shores, storms coming and going within the realm if they did. That place her elemental lived.
  64.
  65. It's more evolved figure was imagined and in the physical realm before Marina, she could see the elemental forming and fading into existance before Vivica. Within the mind, the young woman's hand reached through the door to pull out Niall. "Come." She spoke as she pulled her hand back through and opened her eyes.
  66.
  67. Between Marina and Vivica stood an almost four foot tall elemental. Its body was made up of clouds much like the one that shrouded Vivica's form. Lightning surged throughout Niall's body and water dripped from the bottom of the elemental. It was best described as a living storm cloud itself in appearance.
  68.
  69. "Niall. This is Marina Azar. The Blaze of the Eternal Flame." The elemental spun around towards Marina. No movements further were made as it likely went over the appearance of the woman with glowing blue orbs for eyes. "This is a storm elemental. Niall, as I've named it." Vivica's soothing, calm voice spoke out towards the woman.
  70.
  71. "Both of us will be fighting you today." She wondered what Marina might have to say on the subject of the elemental, or any words at all, therefore Vivica gave her the time to do so before fully preparing for battle.
  72. (Vivica Loirdne)
  73. Marian nods, a lot of people were really busy. It was sad to think that Vivica thought her parents were too busy to talk to her. Marina knew that wasn't really the case because she knew both Batkem and Ciel loved Vivica would make time for her. But she did not speak of this. It was best not to say something that might upset her, especially since she seemed to be in a decent state of mnid.
  74.
  75. The Drakanite was willing to listen if the young woman choes to talk later on. Nodding Marina watches Vivica summon the elemental. She remebered when Thom had first showed his elemental, Indra. It had shocked her at first, and had sent into a state of research as all things did when she discovered somethng new.
  76.
  77. "Tha'ts awesome Vivica, let's see it's power"
  78.
  79. She says as she locks eyes with Niall. It was a pretty sight, the draken wondered how strong this elemental was. She was about to find out.
  80.
  81. Purple wings burst from her body as Marina half-shifts. The gunblade is drawn and pointed at the woman. Dark purple fire begins to revolve around her form, spinning in the air aronud her as a godlen glow forms in the center of it, the tall tale sign of her Ecliptic Flame pwers.
  82.
  83. "Give it all you've got Vivica"
  84.
  85. Marina speaks as she cast her ever hazel eyes toward the young woman.
  86. (Marina Seraph Azar)
  87. "Thanks, I'll be sure that Niall and I give it our all, Blaze."
  88.
  89. That was all the young, noble Loirdne had to speak towards the woman. Her silver hues began to emit a faint glow as the daylight fades behind the clouds, darkening the skies and dimming the light on the fields.
  90.
  91. "A calm.. before the storm." She spoke under her breath. "Niall, you'll aid me once again. Come." Their established connection, which strengthened over time, allowed for the elemental to obey. Niall came to her side and granted Vivica its power. Lightning linked between their two bodies and she could feel its power, but while it was still growing, it wasn't at full.
  92.
  93. The storms summoned only seemed to become greater and with the growing of Niall, what Vivica came to summon appeared more destructive than those before. Lightning stuck the ground, breaking through the land and ripping up dirt while leaving behind little holes. Rain began to pour within the span of seconds of them sharing their powers.
  94.
  95. Thunder boomed louder overhead. Winds began to envelope Vivica's form and amalgamate with lightning and water magic. Together all three fused into one. The creation of storms. Fire magic too was shown through these winds that were bright as it brought in heat towards her body and waved out the cool air. Mist began to spread along the field, making it a bit difficult to see the elemental save for the lightning that sparked and cracked from its form.
  96.
  97. "Let's do this." She spoke towards Niall before suddenly both bodies disappeared from sight!
  98.
  99. Let the battle begin.
  100. (Vivica Loirdne)
  101. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 10)
  102. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 9)
  103. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 8)
  104. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 7)
  105. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 6)
  106. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 5)
  107. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 4)
  108. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 3)
  109. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 2)
  110. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 1)
  111. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  112. Teleportation. A tactic she was learning how to use continuously around the battlefield. Each opponent was unique in their own power, but given that Vivica knew Marina's battle strategy, it was easy for her to figure out her way around the woman's attacks.
  113.
  114. Yet, even with the knowledge she had on Marina's occultic shadow magics, she still took a decent amount of damage herself from the dastardly flames than burned her body.
  115.
  116. Vivica risked the burns though and teleported before Marina the moment shards of ice were sent from her form to pierce the woman's, but not too much to cause damage, but to render her movements slow, and even slower with wind magic too.
  117.
  118. Niall had done just the same, but with wind magic to slow down Marina's movements even further. A beam of water was send from the elemental to push away Marina, much stronger than it had been when she fought Sitrianna in the North.
  119.
  120. The elemental disappeared just like it had seen Vivica do before and reappeared before Marina and again Vivica did the same, both Niall and her's forms building up lightning magic and within seconds of reappearance, a loud, thunderous boom was given off and they sent Marina back!
  121.
  122. Vivica watched the woman skid across the field, her skin likely burning from Vivica's lightning magic. A powerful set of lightning was given off, bursting from both Niall, but mostly from Vivica, to strike the woman and down her.
  123.
  124. Perhaps the amount of power Vivica used to... too much, but due to the use of Niall in battle, it had amplified her own magics, making them much more deadly than just Vivica alone. The young woman watched. She stood. And waited for Marina to stand and speak if she had any words before initiating battle again.
  125. (Vivica Loirdne)
  126. Marina's battle strategy changed constantly. That is part of the reason why Vivica took so much damage. That was the way Marina had always fought, she fought in one way and adjusted during combat, making it nearly impossible to read her movements and patterns.
  127.
  128. Charging toward Vivica Marina would release wave after of fire magic, slashes from her weapon delivered to the young woman. Powerful strikes from the blade and her magic doing as much damage to her as the Drakanite could manage.
  129.
  130. But Marina was fighting against two people at once basically. The elemental was dealing blows to Marina just as much as its summoner. Still though the elderly Drakanite puts on a good show until she is blasted back by lightning and downed by the large outburst.
  131.
  132. Marina grunts before picking herself up once more. The Ecliptic Flames once more dancing around her form. No words were said by her, as was typical of Marina in combat. Hazel eyes still locked onto the girl's own silver. Waiting, ready.
  133. (Marina Seraph Azar)
  134. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 10)
  135. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 9)
  136. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 8)
  137. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 7)
  138. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 6)
  139. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 5)
  140. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 4)
  141. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 3)
  142. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 2)
  143. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: 1)
  144. {RP BATTLE} (COUNTDOWN: Go!)
  145. No words have been spoken by either parties, therefore with Marina coming to a stand, the battle lusty woman, that was Vivica, charged in towards Marina with a bolt of lightning formed in her grasp.
  146.
  147. Niall had once again buffeted the woman's movements, allowing Vivica to strike Marina moments before the elemental blasted her away with another slim beam of water.
  148.
  149. Both the summoner and the elemental made use of the rain above. Niall collected it within its body and released the magic when the elemental found the right timing to use it, but at times his attacks missed. That was typical for anyone to miss attacks, so no worries!
  150.
  151. Small bolts of lightning were sent towards Marina from Niall as Vivica was dealing the heavier, more aggressive blows. The woman's movements were swift, smooth, and calming, but the damage she dealt on Marina was greater, her attacks were much more dangerous than before. It was evident that Niall's presence caused such.
  152.
  153. She saw a moment to put a halt on Marina's attacks the moment the woman was going to strike by conjuring a wave of flames and with wind magic, sent it in her direction to push her back. Of course Vivica knew Marina was attuned with the magics of fire, so it likely didn't hurt her as much as the lightning did before.
  154.
  155. And it ended in Vivica's favor. Niall came back to Vivica's side the moment her wind magics dispelled and she approached Marina with a hand extended to help her up. Between both forms, lightning magic continues to zip over their forms.
  156.
  157. "Here, let me help you up, Marina." She spoke in a calm manner with a smile while she panted.
  158. (Vivica Loirdne)
  159. Even after being bested in the first round Marina fights just as hard the second round. Making it known that she was not a push over even in her old age. She takes the hits like a champion, not downing like a normal person would after taking a pounding. Fire blazes against fire, her own shadowflame hitting with destructive force.
  160.
  161. The fire Vivica brings her down with indeed did not hurt that bad. It is enough to send her sprawling of course but it doesn't burn, her natural control of the element helping with that aspect. Marina accepts the hand up smiling.
  162.
  163. "Well that was very interesting. Fun. You've grown even stronger than before. That elemental is a great ally. Very good job Vivica, you will make a fine addition to the Champions one day"
  164.
  165. Her voice trails off for a moment as she stands there smiling still. That day may actually be sooner than any of them thought if the last meeting an indication of things to come.
  166.
  167. (Marina Seraph Azar)
  168. "Thank you, Marina. Niall is growing and advancing well just like I have in my earlier years. Him and I fought a kaor together, then an undead who used to help Cinderfall. I hope I make a fine Champion of the Flame one day. I'm working my hardest to bring power for myself to protect the city."
  169.
  170. The young woman laughs happily. Water from her body extends in multiple tendrils to wrap around and soak Marina's wounds to soothe any burns she had obtained which.. judging by the marks on her skin, was quite a bit.
  171.
  172. "I hope this helps you, Marina." The water was cool and covered along her skin to heal. "Maybe you heard about what happened with Brenton and I.. but.. I've just.. been very troubled. I'm sure a lot of people have noticed.. even before what happened."
  173.
  174. Her tone of voice trailed into sadness before she looked to Niall at her side. The lightning magic between the two disconnected. "You may rest, Niall. We've more training soon, so be prepared." And in a flash of lightning, the elemental disappeared back into the spirit realm. She wasn't aware of it elementals needed resting, but that's how kind she had been for just about every being.
  175.
  176. "I'm working at fixing myself and improving my mental strength. I thought maybe some time from the city and the stresses of work might help. Though.. I do sit above still in the skies and watch over. I told me parents I was leaving, but I still hang around. I could never leave." With those words, she begins to laugh.
  177. (Vivica Loirdne)
