Special Abilities:
All Dragoons are required to complete the Dragon's Drop test, which the potential dragoon must leap from a peak, and strike a small target, AND come out unharmed. This test marks the graduation from 'Newt' to 'Dragoon'.

Newts are Dragoons in training, and are not considered full dragoons. Their training should begin early, with earlier tiers being more effective.

Along training, at every other tier, a medallion 'Mark of the Dragon' shall call them back to the training area, for their next lesson. This mark is applied by a special role.

Dragoons exclusively weild spears and lances, and it is seen as heresay to weild any other weapon.
Though fire based magic is appreciated, there is no bias against magic.

The guild believes in channeling an 'inner dragon', a soul of a dragon within every dragoon, waiting to be unleashed. This dragon is what drives the dragoon to better themselves, in hopes of becoming more at one with their dragon, who will in turn, unleash incredible powers to their body. This often manifests in a special 'dragonbreath' attack where the dragoon exhales a fierce dark purple fire that rages like that of a dragon.

Dragoons more at touch with their inner dragon may sprout wings when in danger, allowing them to fight as dragons, by dominating the skies with inhuman ferocity with both spear and flame. Advanced dragoons or those with natural talent may learn to invoke this ability on their own.

Dragoons wear only the lightest, yet sturdiest of metal armors they can find, often incorporating a scale design to their outfits. Often, their eyes are not visible to outside viewers, but they can see somehow. Some rumor it's magic, but it's actually in the material the dragoons use for their helmets.

There are usually only a few dragoons at any time, with each one having 1-3 Newts under each dragoon. The Dragoon is responsible for the bulk of the newts training, however, other dragoons may provide assistance if needed.

"Through the sky we shall ever soar, guided only by the dragons of our soul. In time we shall become that which our soul yearns, our flesh being the egg in which it is protected, which it nutures. Our dragon guides us through good and bad, so that we may ever fly true. In our hour, it will awaken to our burning soul, unto a hardship most dire. We are the dragoons, ancestors of dragons, and soon, we shall take to the skies to join our bretheren."

Newts are often chosen by hand, by the dragoon that will train them, so a newt may come from any walk of life, as long as the dragoon sees them worthy.
