- Danny frowned. Okay, he had a fair point there. Skynet wouldn’t just let him not kill the people he was supposed to kill. It was hard coded into his programming. There wasn’t any way Danny could change that.
- ...Wait.
- Danny closed his eyes, searching through his mind to see if he still had the power. It had been so long, but at one point it was like second nature. At his command, his left hand began to fizzle and sparkle, growing strangely square and pixelated. No way.
- *No way.*
- Across the arena, Danny felt Yellow’s mind react through the network. *What’s wrong?*
- *Nothing… well, nothing yet. I’m about to do something crazy.*
- *What are you talking about?*
- By the time she asked, Danny had already begun shifting his body, twisting and turning like a wisp of smoke headed for T’s liquefied body.
- *Hey Hermes, you think the network will still work if I jump into the Terminator’s processor?*
- *Well, if you- wait, what? That shouldn’t even be possible, right?*
- Before his face transformed into a mass of living data from Technus’ copied power, Danny grinned. *We’re about to find out.*
- (...)
- *Hermes, have you heard anything from Danny?*
- Hermes made a mental sound like sucking his teeth (somehow) and grunted. *He’s there, but he’s not-*
- *Whoa.*
- Yellow’s eyes widened. *Danny! He was alive! Danny?! Are you okay?!*
- *Man, you guys have GOT to see this.*

- The landscape that stretched out in front of Danny best resembled a city constructed of glowing green bars, the wireframe architecture of something far greater than Danny could have ever guessed at. Skyscrapers climbed into an endless abyss, and even they struggled to rise above what seemed to be an endless maze of sprawling structures. It was mind-boggling in its scale. It was awe-inspiring in its depth.
- It was also very, very far away.
- Danny’s best guess was that he stood at the edge of the “city”, looking in from afar. The wireframe constructs nearest him were shattered obelisks and broken structures, what appeared to be the framework of a warzone. As he walked through them, he felt Hermes buzzing in the back of his mind, and strained to make the connection.
- *Danny? Danny?!*
- *Relax, Hermes, I’m here.*
- *Sweet squid of Madrid, boy, I thought we lost you!*
- *I mean, you could have a LITTLE faith sometimes, maybe.*
- *I’ll take it into consideration. Where are you?*
- Danny passed a building that seemed to be easily as tall as one of the faraway skyscrapers. In its shattered form, the pile of rubble was only two to three times Danny’s size, a shadow of its former self.
- *I’m inside T.*
