  1. Hello everyone, CollieBro here. I'd like to talk about the events of the past few days, but only as it relates to what I see as the future of the cup. And that is that I don't see the cup having much of a future under the current moderation. The main issue being, as I've said many times, that they keep managers on all the time, which directly affects the flow of new viewers into the cup.
  2. It's very simple. It's the concept of the e-sports that they can't seem to grasp. And all it is is them abdicating their responsibilities as managers, their job, one of them, is to "test", and keeping managers on all the time prevents them from avoiding this responsibility and it stunts the growth of the cup. And, with most things, in fact, 99% of the time, if something isn't growing, it's decaying. And I think this is definitely the case with the cup if you've just watched the viewer list.
  3. We do have Elites, the streaming of new invitationals, to drive traffic to the 4cc, but the 4cc has survived the streaming of, I want to say two Elite cups at this point and we kind of stagnated, I don't think that we can rely on the streaming of new Elites alone to 1. prevent the viewers of the room from stagnating, and 2. just to prevent the cup from dying altogether from the lack of fans.
  4. So, and one of the problems is that we all come from 4chan, right. We all come from 4chan with this attitude of "I'm gonna meme how I want to", and that's healthy. That's good. But the problem comes when you've got egos rubbing up against each other, and between normal users this wouldn't really be an issue. But between managers, when managers let their ego get in the way of their job, then you've got e-sports. Then you've got instances such as me being shitlisted, and there was a semi-legitimate reason for me being shitlisted, of course.
  5. I won't deny that I did eat a bag of dicks, but I view that as an act of civil disobedience, as I said. And because the managers failed to remove themselves on my behalf when e-sports was going on. And because /merit/ failed to intervene on my behalf when height abuse was going on.
  6. But, anyway, when you've got these abrasive 4chan personalities of course there's gonna be e-sport problems, and when the managers are subsceptible to this, you get height abuse. And it defines the character of the cup, really, they're saying "I'm deciding which tactics are permissible in the cup", so they're defining the character of the cup, they're defining the growth of the cup - they have a lot of power and they take it too seriously
  7. And if we want to see the cup continue in the coming years, and we want to see the meta grow and change - and like I said, if something isn't growing and changing, it's decaying - so if we want to see that happen, we need to remove managers. So this rant would be an appeal to lear, it would be an appeal to Sou, to just clean house. Get rid of these guys. We've had enough. We've seen height abuse, again and again, we've seen them botch their management of the influx of new PES versions, and we've seen the 4cc viewers, the total number of viewers, just decay over time over their care.
  8. And if we go back in time and we look at what /merit/ used to look like, way back when the cup was first created, Germanbro was very liberal in handing out rigging. He would give it to pretty much any team that had been around for any amount of time. Which obviously wasn't the way to go. And I think we've seen /merit/ swing all the way in the other direction, which is to say they've been very specific and very stingy with the rules of the cup, and I think it's just a lot of favoritism and a lot of gay boards getting promoted, and it's kind of this central problem with bias on the 4cc which is in reality, if you copy the last star winner, you will get promoted to Elites.
  9. And I think that it's our role as /4ccg/ to define the character of the cup. It shouldn't be this autocracy, it should be democracy. I would say that the election of /merit/ and streamers should be, yeah, democratic. It shouldn't be autocratic, it should be decided by the
  10. viewers.
  11. So, anyway, this rant is carrying on in length here, so I'll cut it short and just say, you know, how much are we going to put up with? And that's just my appeal to the average 4cc viewer, so, yeah. And to the managers that I know and I actually care about, you know who you are in the cup, I mean, this is probably the last you'll ever hear of the "CollieBro" persona, because I think it's just kind of run its course at this point, I mean, I'll always be here but, I just won't be that person anymore, so... Anyway, if you made it all the way to the end, thanks for reading.
