  1. Eden scratched his chin, too perplexed to form a cohesive thought. "I... ah... who are you again?" He asked with a nervous chuckle, sweat starting to form on his brow at the mention of Denus' name. Though he was smiling, inside he was worrying. Not a lot of people had known that name. Off the top of his head he could name five others outside of himself. So if this girl had known Denus had he sent her? Why? To check on him? No. That didn't make sense.

  3. Denus rarely woke up unless it was absolutely needed. If Creation were threatened by something that not even a Creator could battle or if it were time to decide upon the Heir Apparent that would make more sense to Eden. But neither of those things were happening at this moment so it made no sense that they'd send someone so... strange. So then who was she?

  5. Eden frowned and sighed, wishing for just a moment that he could catch a break. He was tired and though it was subtle he could feel a wave of weakness coming on. That combined with everything running through his head had made him impatient. "My name is Eden Bellerose, I'm the Creator of this cycle." He gave a polite bow and snapped. A table filled to the brim with food and drinks appeared between the two of them and Eden smiled a bit. "If you know Denus, I suppose you are a friend. Can I help you with something?"

  9. "In the time that he advised, Artemis Falkaryn acted as Queen regent until King Caerwyn Iodelis VII came of age." Nathaniel had admitted readily, quickly snatching the photo from Scarlett's hand and looking it over for wrinkles. He let out a quiet sigh when he'd realized the photo was relatively undamaged.
  10.
  11. His father had never really talked about what he'd done while in the service of Artemis. Whenever it'd come up there was always this sort of far away look in his eyes, as if for a moment he was somewhere else, lost in the past. Nathaniel could never get a straight answer out of him so he'd just given up on asking, figuring it was one of those things he was better off not knowing about his father.
  12.
  13. ...
  14.
  15. There were a lot of those things, he'd realized. A small frown found it's way to his lips but he quickly forced it away and put on a grin. "I kept my end of the deal so you keep your mouth shut, yeah?"

  19. Octavia shrugged and finished off the last of her drink. "So she can hold a grudge. I can too." Araki was probably simply doing a nice thing, telling her about Scarlett, but Octavia couldn't help but get the slightest bit irritated the more she learned about the woman. She didn't care. Had the woman not been there to help with those godforsaken drunkards Octavia didn't doubt that she and Nathaniel would have even bothered. But now where were they? She was sitting alone in a bar, talking with Araki, while he was out with Scarlett doing god knows what. Subconsciously, she started to pout. "She's not that great."

  21. So why was Nathaniel there with her and not here, with her?
