  1. NBN is already taken over by other technology that is faster and cheaper.
  2. that is why NBN is an expensive project that won’t be able to make a profit.
  3. this make connect very expensive and will harm the economy.

  6. The construction of an expensive project using old technology have enormous consequence on the economy and the society, the project already wasted billions and continue to waste tax payer’s money. NBN is not delivering the services clients believe would come. It is also costing more than forecast while being overtaken by cheaper, faster technology. This project has only “fueled a frantic blame game”. where the Labor party blamed Liberal for not connecting “optic cable to the premises”, while Liberal say it is the Labor who began the idea. The investment is flooded by politician saying sorry while not acting to resolve the situation.
  7.
  8. NBN delay has caused high price and low speed as the technology evolve. the idea of NBN that is purposed in 2006 is already outdated as faster and cheaper internet is developed. Company like DGtek has already started using “Gigabit Passive Optical Networks” in the densely populated “inner Melbourne region”. Even in Adelaide, TPG is constructing “service promises fiber internet up to 100 times faster than the NBN and at lower prices”. This shows the slow development speed of NBN and constant delay that costed the government extra money to build infrastructure that is outdated from the beginning.
  9.
  10. The expensive price of the NBN construction caused high broadband network prices that will hurt the low-income user. Most Australians are not purchasing the theoretical NBN 100-megabit-per-second plans. Which mean the majority cost of the infrastructure will be payed by people who is only purchasing 25 and 50 mbps service tier. As the majority simply won’t purchase the high speed that the fiber offer. The speed of the internet is not as important to them as keeping monthly internet bills affordable. So using cheap and reliable technology will be better for the economy compare to the new unproven technology.
