Grade: 11th or 12th (possibly failed a year) (chapter 1)

Appearance: Average build, mousy brown hair, gray eyes (describes in chapter 2 maybe)

Social class: lower middle class (doesn’t need to be directly said, but instead will be implied by description of home life)

History: parents were never married, drug addicted mother, well-off but aloof father. Lived in Los Angeles until five, moved to Ohio. (revealed in chapter 2 or 3 possibly)

Extra curricular: marching band (trombone. Arms are too short to play it very well. First chair trombone is a dickhead.) (chapter 2)

Friends graduated already and are too busy to keep in contact. Possible old friend names: Karen Bouchard, Katherine Moore. (Unfortunately the initials of our group spelled out KKK, but it was never something we brought up.) (Katherine was more like a Karen and Karen was more like a Katherine, as in Katherine sounds like a pristine name and Karen sounds like the name of a serious person, but their roles are the opposite.)

Information that needs added to first chapter: grade and the fact that friends have graduated and don’t keep in touch very well.

First chapter will serve as declaration of suicide and a bit of chit chat about it, including some personal details that will add layers to the story.)

Second chapter will be after a day at school; chapter mostly devoted to describing how Kelley fits in at school and possibly some mild plot point will occur. Discusses old friends who graduated and moved on.
