Software Engineer (Frontend)

We are using artificial intelligence to generate unique questions adaptively and on the fly to help a student prepare for his exams. The technology is the result of Rahul's PhD work at the National University of Singapore. The technology is domain-independent and can potentially work for any exam in any subject. We have had interest from the Indian Government for setting IIT-JEE question papers, Cambridge for setting ICGSE, O-level and others exams worldwide.

Imagine a future where no two students get the same homework. A teacher never has to mark students. A student always gets just the right slightly out of reach question to practice. A student does not waste time on practicing hundreds of similar questions or trying to solve questions which use concepts he does not know. A teacher knows exactly what the student does not understand and does not waste valuable class time on re-iterating what students already understand or looking at student's clueless faces.

Role: Sofware Engineer (Frontend)

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and be responsible for the web application.
2. Come up with concepts for new features, tweaks and design improvements
3. Communicate effectively with the backend team to come up with APIs that you need
4. Communicate effectively with the designer to make things sexy and easy to use

Minimum Requirements:

1. Extensive experience with AngularJS
2. Experience developing web applications

Preferred Qualifications:

1. A solid foundation in computer science
2. Great communication/documentation skills
3. Be a JavaScript ninja (for example - async/await, object destructuring, babel, es6, etc.)
4. Live on the cutting edge (use Angular 5, be excited about Bazel, Ivy Renderer, etc.)
5. You love engineering (when you are not reading or coding, you are listening to podcasts like Software Engineering Daily, Security Now, etc..)

Finally, this is a role for someone who wants to push himself. You constantly want to refactor your code. You are opinionated about the product. You take initiative. You want to work hard and push yourself to be the best goddamn Angular developer there is. You want to lead. You want to be involved.
