  1. Mock: After leaving the town the night before with something more productive than usual on his mind, Mock had got a good night's sleep. Lit had asked to learn ASL from him and while that sounded like a difficult undertaking for someone like him, he was clever enough to think up some good techniques. Later, he would find a few books and materials to start Lit out with fingerspelling. If he learned nothing else from Mock, that would carry him pretty far. As far as it was ever likely to be strictly necessary. He'd come back early in the morning for work and once he'd gotten several hours of hard work in, it was time for a break. Grease was wiped from his face and washed from his hands, and so he didn't need to go home and shower away the hat-hair, he simply wore a beanie as he went out to the park. He'd placed a few vehicle parts around the area he intended to make into a garden and he thought he could expend a little more energy arranging them. Someone was bound to ask sometime what they were doing there...
  2.
  3. Sofya: As if by magic, the women had been in the park for several hours. Not so much waiting for anyone, she just wished to enjoy the nice weather outside. Sighing to herself, she looked around to see auto parts. She raised an eyebrow in question but when she saw the person doing so, it faded into a smile. Mock. Getting up from a bench in the center of the park to go to him. Wearing upon her figure was carpi shorts that went to her knee that were stained black. A gray tank top that accented her upper figure along with eleven like sandal shoes. "Hello Mock." Her voice was gentle and sweet sounding. The human's eyes shined in the sunlight and gave a small glimmer of delight to see the male. "Are you verbal today?" She curiously asked.
  4.
  5. Mock: It might be that he was fairly caught up with his self-assigned task. He wasn't aware when someone came up to him, and when a park proved too heavy and awkward for him in the way that he was carrying it, he dropped it in front of him, swearing quietly as he jumped back so it didn't hit his feet. His eyes were a little wide when he heard a voice nearby and he breathed out as he turned to see who it belonged to, although it was familiar enough by now that he could hazard a pretty good guess. "...hello." His memory had returned, so it wasn't a surprise, as it would have been if the sight had brought the memory back. But it was still an interesting thing to see someone for the first time after having, frankly, forgotten them. A happy interesting thing, in this case, and he smiled a little. "...Sofya." He knit his brow at her question. "...verbal," he mumbled. Not very, but he always did his best.
  6.
  7. Sofya: Seeing his smile, she smiled herself. "You remembered." It had been a little while since they had seen each other but she remember their last encounter well. Her drawing in the cafe and surprising him with a kiss. He also gave his number to her of which she still had. She had went more old fashion then that since in a sense she was an old soul as it were. Not physically but mentally she felt as though she was. Going back to the bench to grab her tan bag and pull out letters to give to him. If he chose to grab them, she would sign to him with her hands that she had taught herself how to communicate through sign. Also that she had been writing letters to him since admittingly she was nervous to text him. She was never really good with texting anyways. Only calls or video calls. Though she wouldn't ask him to do that since he wasn't very verbal to begin with. The women used to her hands to ask what he was working on and that she was able to see him again. Sofya's eyes had softened realizing that she had been gone for so long. Her smile faded as she signed once more to speak with him, telling him she was sorry she was gone so long. That she needed to process their last encounter due to being scared of how he truly felt.
  8.
  9. Mock: His timeline was a little screwed up, but during his amnesic episode he had seen her number in his phone. However there was no context to it, not too many texts that told him anything. Not having seen her during that episode, he didn't know who she was until his memories came back. "...yeah." Remembered. She'd probably heard about the virus that had gripped the town that was just now starting to completely dissipate. He chose not to hamper himself with the depressing details. When he was passed something, it was just instinct for him to take it, and he blinked as he looked them over. Seeing her make motions with her hands, he looked up, surprised to see that he could understand them. He had no issue with texting because his hands were deft and lightning quick and he communicated better with them in almost every sense than he did with his mouth. He was a little stunned, although also visibly excited- his eyes had lit up to see he had an easier way for him to communicate with her, and he tucked the letters under his arm to sign back. That's okay! I was really sick anyway for awhile. The virus had hit him physically as well as mentally, and it didn't help that he had forgotten where to find food. As for their last encounter, he blushed before he could even try and control it, shaking his head and signing again. It's fine. I get it. I didn't think much of it. I hope you aren't upset?
  10.
  11. Sofya: Seeing that he was visibly excited and lightning fast on response, she smiled. Able to understand what he was saying and nods in understanding. Responding with, It's alright. I did hear about it. I hope you feel better. Once she saw the blush and read his response through his hands, she shook her head while signing again. Blushing herself and gulps a bit nervously. I'm not upset with it. I just was nervous of how you felt about it in the moment. Though catching the signs that said he hadn't thought much about it, she frowned a little. Setting her hands down and her thoughts went wild. "Knew it! He forgot about you and that you guys kissed. That intimate moment meant nothing." Her thoughts screamed. Suddenly shaking her head of her thoughts, she'd quickly force a smile and also force a giggle. Signing one last time, What are you working on here? I see all the car parts, yet we are in the park. Sofya's thoughts kept screaming at her. It was as if a creature or something within her wished to come out. Yet she was human. She was confused as she touched her arm that had a scar on it. A bite mark. In their time away from each other, a creature had bit her on her way through the woods one night. She was foolish to go out by herself but it had been about a week since it happened. It had barely healed and scared over. She had been taking care of it with herbs that her teacher had taught her when she was young along with seeking help from a witch locally, anonymously. They always wore a cloak and always asked to meet in the middle of the night. She didn't really think of it. Though one of these nights, they came with another and it had bright green eyes. So bright that it embedded in her brain. For a brief time she thought she was going insane, but the spells healed the mark. So she thought it would be over after that. After doing research she found out it was a wolf bite. She hadn't transformed nor took her first blood. It was still a few days till full moon. The voices in her mind growled causing her to hold her head soon after. Groaning in pain from the pressure.
  12.
  13. Mock: Blunt as he was, and as true as it was that he had forgotten the kiss for a time, that wasn't what he meant. When people disappeared, he tended to notice but not be concerned as it was in his own nature to disappear. He was flighty, if not outright flakey sometimes. And hypocrisy was a vice for, perhaps, all fae, him included, but he couldn't fault others for doing their own things with their own lives while he did the same. ...besides, with his own disconnected nature he had little way of knowing if someone was outright ignoring or avoiding, or if they were simply distracted. Everyone assumed the worst at one point or another but he kept himself busy so as not to be too clingy. The subtleties of these people were beyond him and he thought it was better to be safe than sorry when the chances of him realizing through hints that he was being too much were so likely to fly over his head. He didn't notice the scar, at least as anything new or strange, even with his eyes focused on her hands. But he was all too glad when she noticed the auto parts. I'm making a garden. Why bother with his halting repetitive speech if he could sign? That is, unless she told him she was struggling with it. Then he would do his best to go back to spoken word. Well, I'm preparing a garden... it's supposed to be a community garden but the only person I've told doesn't even live in town. He was too shy to bring it up to others, and ask for help. It was too bad. He'd met a few people who could be really useful in spreading the word. It's something, though. You know, now that people aren't getting sick so much. He heard the quiet groan, but it just seemed to him to be an exasperated reaction to the sickliness of the world, and he couldn't blame her there. Some strange things had been centered in this town. Yet it drew him back from his wanderings.
  14.
  15. Sofya: When she looked at his hands to see that he was signing again, she carefully watched before letting her hands down to sign again. I see. What do you plan on planting or what have you already planted? She began. Do you need any help? She'd soon go onto her knees and look around at the area around the the auto parts and see if there was anything she could help with. Though for right now, she would adjust herself to where she was sitting on the ground admiring that he was starting a garden for the community. It was so generous of him. A small smile came over her figure as her inner mind started to finally slow down. A sigh of relief came through her mind. Soon she'd look up at him and wait for a response.
  16.
  17. Mock: Help? Well, it wasn't help he needed, it was interest. Okay, that wasn't true. He definitely needed both, and in a bad way. With a pout, he pushed over the larger piece that appeared to be the bumper of some large truck, and sat on top of it. I don't know yet... I've been researching a little of what grows well here. Some of it is different from where I grew up. ...I think people should add what they want. But maybe a focus on edible and functional plants? It was... frankly a lot of work, what he was describing, and a lot of time invested. But he wasn't in a hurry, he didn't expect anyone to be in a hurry. Making something like this was the entire point, there was no need to rush... on the other hand, though, a community was needed for a community garden. He sighed and kicked at another part nearby. "...stupid covid." he muttered quietly aloud, recalling how everyone seemed to have retreated into quarantine just about the time he'd gotten the idea for it. Although he didn't know the source of the burst of stress and then relief, his shoulders relaxed when she let her own stress release.
  18.
  19. Sofya: As the bumper of a car was moved and he sat on top of it then started signing again, she nodded in understanding. Though when she heard his muttered words that were outloud, she couldn't help but giggle a little. Signing once more with a bright smile, Yes stupid covid, indeed. As to the garden, its understandable. I can find some plants that we can plant together and get something started. She'd pause and look into his gaze with a certain softness. Though her brain was going at a million miles an hour. "Kiss him again! You fool!" Before she could stop herself of her thoughts, she hadn't realized that her body had followed said thoughts. Her lips crashed on top of his in a gentle motion. Once again it was delicate as rose petals, and her irises had shut. For a brief moments, things were calm in her mind. Her lips had lightly pressed onto his twice in small lingering motions. As she pulled back and opened her view again, it finally dawned on her what had happened. A rose tint came to her cheeks as she soon signed again in a panic. I'm so sorry. My mind was clouded for a moment. Pausing again for a second and gulped nervously. Looking down at the ground and rubbed her arms near shoulders. Signing again with a sigh, if you want, I will just go. This is the second time this has happened and I really don't wish to make you uncomfortable. Hiding her eyes in her hair, she peeked up at him through her strands.
  20.
  21. Mock: One person was a start. Mock perked up a bit, at least. Did she even like gardening? She wouldn't volunteer unless she did, right? He had to rely on the straight-forwardness of others to know. It was natural for him to play in the dirt, but admittedly, it was something of a dying art. That would be great! he signed back enthusiastically. Even having one person on board with the idea, and actually being in the town, helped inspire his confidence in the idea a little. He was going through plans in his mind, thinking on what other things he could and should bring over from the junkyard, if they should put up a fence, and... perhaps most importantly, how much of his paycheck he could dedicate to getting things started and he certainly didn't expect to find her kissing him again. There was a faint noise of surprise in his throat as he wrapped his mind around what was happening suddenly, again, a rush of heat to his face, but by the second kiss he could process enough to let his eyes slip shut and return the kiss, caught up in the moment, brief as it was. Still, when she pulled away, he looked surprised again for a moment before rubbing his nose to try and hide a foolish grin. He definitely wasn't looking her in the face, so her signs were easy to read and he shook his head. I'm not- Awkward, sure, shy, definitely. But it didn't make him uncomfortable in the sense he felt the need to escape and he knew the difference. He was all too familiar with the latter.
  22.
  23. Sofya: Seeing that same red tint across his face and that grin, made her blush all the more. It only got even worse when he signed he wasn't uncomfortable. Not only that but by the second kiss, he actually returned it. Her heart was pounding out of her chest. Before the kiss when he said it would be great if she helped him with the garden, it made her smile. Though her mind kept reverting back to the kiss. Placing her right hand over her peach lips and her other hand on her lap. He actually kissed back! Signing back shyly as she lifted her head to fully look at him, showing that bright red blush against her figure. Did you like it? Please be honest. Her curiosity was eating at her. Sofya felt her body starting to heat up, and there was something in her that didn't want to stop. The way they felt against her own as so natural and it felt right being around him. She wasn't sure why nor explain it but she just did. That grin gave a little bit of a hope he liked it but as her teacher always taught her. Looks can be deceiving. Placing both her hands on her lap and still sat near his feet since they weren't more than a couple inches apart.
  24.
  25. Mock: Did he like it? The question confused him. What wasn't to like? Did she like it? Questioning it gave him a little anxiety for a moment, but she had done it... herself. Twice. Something like kissing wasn't something you initiated unless you wanted it to happen- right? He couldn't think of a reason why someone would. His hesitation was only out of confusion, but he signed back quickly enough and with conviction that wouldn't come with spoken word. ...yeah! Of course! He had no need to deceive her. It wasn't something he was incapable of, but he wasn't in the habit of saving someone's feelings, because he wasn't sure how. And she wasn't the sort of person he had it in mind to drive away, which was also easily enough accomplished if he wanted to. She'd come to learn the differences and dualities, perhaps, in time. He enjoyed... the enjoyable. It surprised some, that his innocence only stretched to a certain point. He enjoyed drinking, weed, kissing, ogling pretty people, a good many things that would be considered by some to be vices; he didn't find shame in being the way he was, perhaps because of what he was, even without knowing it. Though it didn't come without that social unsureness. ...did you?
  26.
  27. Sofya: Seeing his hands sign that he did like it even what seemed like on his voice hesitation. Maybe nerves same as she. None the less, it made her smile that he enjoyed it like she did. When he asked if she did too, she didn't hesitate at all. I did. Very much so. Lightly biting her bottom lip shyly, she turned her face away for a moment as her heart still pounded in her chest. She looks up at him again and asks through sign once more. From that grin, you really seemed to have enjoyed it. We can do it again if it's something you want to explore more. In the back of her mind she was trying to tell herself to be brave and to be bold. In a way she was. Or at least trying to be. In all honesty, she really wanted him to do it again. The sensation thrilled her greatly. Squirming a little as she sat on the ground. When she realized that she was squirming, she stopped and waited patiently on the answer. Her bright blue irises looking at him gently.
  28.
  29. Mock: He generally had a case of nerves, or some feeling or another. As much as he could come off, and often was, timid or even meek, if he truly didn't like something, he was good at setting boundaries- through force of revenge if need be. It had happened before, but it didn't need to happen with her. At worst, he considered her a friend, even if they hadn't known each other very long. It may or may not have been unfortunate that he also fed off her own awkwardness and it kept them in a feedback loop, even if it was a very minor one and it certainly wasn't one he noticed. He was very... exploration-minded, not only with her, but in general- with people, in general- and what she said sat right with him, only causing the smile to widen. He hesitated a moment before curiosity and the pursuit of pleasure won out and he leaned forward to carefully press his lips against hers, gingerly at first, but with more confidence in the motion after a mere second.
  30.
  31. Sofya: Seeing his smile widen, she began to smile more too. Seeing that he hesitated at first, she sighed a little and was ready for him to not do it. Almost prepared herself for it not to happen. Though when he did gingerly, she looked at him in surprise. After a few moments, she returned it and closed her gaze. Feeling the confidence within it from him, she feed into it. A part of her wanted to hold him or be on his lap but the other part was too shy to. Fortunately, that part won out. She kept her hands at her sides while on her knees in front of him. A small muffled moan came from her throat, delighted that they were kissing. Throwing a bit of passion but still kept it delicate, she'd deepen the kiss. It was true, they hadn't know each other long but the fact that this was happening; made her truly happy for the first time in a long long time. It was as if everything around them were not even there, it was just empty. All that was there was just them in that very moment.
  32.
  33. Mock: He wouldn't mind it personally, at least in the heat of the moment, but any more PDA and he'd be terribly embarrassed about it later. Not that there was anything to be ashamed of, but- it was a small town. He'd lived in enough of those briefly to get a sense of them, and this one was especially small-towny. Not only did people talk, but there was this sense of connection that Mock had an innate insight to without knowing it, like it was a little cosmos all its own. No matter how open-minded a town was or how naturally it came, nobody really wanted to watch a couple of young adults heavily make out in public- and if they did, that was a dirty problem in its own right. Still, as they kissed, he lifted a hand to her jaw carefully, cupping his fingers against it. It might have been a fairly long kiss because he did feel the strain of his lungs telling him to breathe but it was only at that point he pulled away, a little dazed and more speechless than before.
  34.
  35. Sofya: As his hand cupped her cheek, as their kiss continued; she soon brought her own hand to his cheek to gently grasp it. When he pulled away, she was in her own daze and speechless herself. All she could do was look into his gaze while panting heavily. Being leaned over him a little as she soon felt a little dizzy. Quickly she'd grasp the bumper with both of her hands but they were on each side of him. Once she caught her breathe after a few moments, Sofya's eyes would suddenly grow bright blue. There was a sudden heat within her and her inner thoughts started screaming again. The bite on her arm that was scared over started to ache and thump. Quickly she started backing up and take deep breathes. Trying to calm her inner thoughts while closing her eyes. Almost going into a meditative state for a few minutes before opening her gaze again. Irises back to normal, and shook her head. Signing to him with a nervous giggle. I'm sorry. I'm not sure what came over me. Pausing and smiling as she felt the kiss still on her lips. I really enjoyed the kiss. It was really intense.
  36.
  37. Mock: Mock really enjoyed it too, but when she leaned toward him, he was a little confused and increasingly concerned. It wasn't a position that seemed to want another kiss or to be particularly affectionate, and she was feeding him feelings of stress he didn't actively recognize. He leaned back away in response, allowing her space and letting her stand. While she got ahold of herself without looking at him, he was studying her intensely with concern, the flush of the kiss falling away quickly as he sobered up from the high of that emotion. Once she refocused, his eyes tore away from hers again, not very much able to handle a lot of eye contact. Mock was used to a lot of odd behavior, some of it coming from himself, or so he was told, and some of it coming from others. In his time, he had had to keep the company of a lot of people with various issues and he was probably a better person for it, but he did know that that behavior wasn't normal. What was it, a seizure? Panic attack? He wasn't sure. But he did remember that she had acted strangely the first time they met, too. Fearfully, if he recalled correctly. Perhaps she had an issue with panic. He nodded slowly to acknowledge her signing but signed back, Are you okay? You should probably sit back down..
  38.
  39. Sofya: Sitting back down, after reading his signs; accurately she thought it was probably a good idea. Signing in return, Yes I'm okay. Just... Pausing for a moment and sighed. I was bite by a wolf about a week ago. I went to witch locally to get it cleared up to where I could stay human but she was killed before the last spell could be done. So all the spell work she had been doing was undone. She admitted and sighed again before looking up at the blue sky above. Speaking outloud now knowing he may have other questions about her, "The reason I was so odd when we first met was because I ran away from home. My parents were drug addicts, abusers and well my dad was a rapist... I got out of there as soon as I turned eighteen but still deal from the trauma of it. So that's why I was how I was. I panicked and did my first instinct which is to try hiding myself." Looking over to him in cased he signed again.
  40.
  41. Mock: He had to deal with plenty of trauma himself, but not from his family, not in that respect. Quite the opposite, they were there for him when he was nothing but hostile. He had his reasons for being hostile. Imagine awakening half-dead in a new world, coddled by a species you'd never known. It would be easy to imagine they were out to get you. He watched as she signed of a wolf bite, which was strange. Wolves, as far as he knew, stayed out of peoples' way, unless they made it a point to be a pest to them. Before he could ask if she was alright, either way, she continued and he blinked. That was heavy, and he wasn't expecting it but he didn't have a problem with it, of course. His mind spun with something nasty; his own hidden nature's immediate thought was... not something he was proud of, and something very along the lines of revenge, but that made no sense, logically. You don't need to explain why you're odd, Sofya... I'm glad you did, but it's not something you owe anyone. That was a lesson he had learned quickly. Personal details were earned, and if he had earned it, he was glad, but he'd never want to pressure her for that. I'm sorry... I don't know what to say. I'm glad you're out of it, but that's never happened to me and I don't want to say the wrong thing on accident. Are you okay?
  42.
  43. Sofya: When she reading his signs, she nodded. Returning such, yes I'm okay. Just really.... Pausing as she soon
