Arc Royale [Ch. 7]

Ruby shrieked as the world flipped, her skirt riding down as she was swung upside down in one of his tentacles. How-? She'd been so sure he was looking the other way, keeping his attention on Knight. The Grimm even looked surprised himself when she came suspended before his eyes.

"RUBY!" Yang screamed. "Knight, save her!"

"On it!"

Ruby's knight in shining armour came screeching forward. He was going to save her – save her before the Grimm could kill-

And then Ruby was flying.

She bowled into something big and heavy and hard, but also reassuring. Her body, small as it was, still knocked Knight over as he caught her. He stumbled, corrected and then threw the both of them back, drawing her to the rear of the fight as the two teams dispatched the Beowolves.

"Are you alright?" Knight asked.
