This particular team typically relies on getting status on the majority of your opponent's Pokémon. The only status on the team is paralysis and burn. Talonflame spreads burn onto Pokémon like Mega-Kangaskhan, Mega-Salamence, Mega-Mawile, etc. Whimsicott is my spreader of paralysis. It slows down Choice Scarf Landorus-T, Megas like Kangaskhan, Salamence; as well as faster threats like Talonflame, Greninja and Mega-Gardevoir.
The only Hex user on the team is Mega-Gengar. It 2HKOs most everything with a boosted Hex and can deal with fairies due to the addition of Sludge Bomb. Taunt is there to specifically shut down support Thundurus-I, Suicune, Rotom-W and other Prankster users such as Sableye.
Breloom is the other offensive Pokémon on the team. Bullet Seed destroys everything because of the Technician boost, plus STAB. Mach Punch is great to hit hard and have a great Technician boosted priority attack. Rock Tomb is there to hit Talonflame or Mega-Charizard Y; as well as other fire, ice or flying type Pokémon.
Now you may be wondering why I only 2 offensive Pokémon on the team. The reason is because of Klefki and Metal Sound. This move lowers your opponent's Pokémon's Sp.Def by 2 stages. Which allows for Blastoise to hit Pokémon with Scald and Ice Beam with much more force. It also allows for Mega-Gengar and Whimsicott to hit harder as well.
