- ANALISYS 21 NEW POKéMON MOVES! (Will be released with the 1st DLC "The Isle of Armor")
- All these moves are ordered by their ID.
- There's no G-MAX moves included and probably many of these moves are Tutor Moves.
- ✨ "Expanding Force" (Vaste Pouvoir) (Vastenergia)
- This one is a mystery to be honest. At first I tought it was related to Dynamax so learnable only by those linked to the Dynamax Power like the legendaries, but it doesn't make much sense at the end so let's skeep this one. I have no clue...
- -UPDATE-
- The Italian Name could point at a Fighting-Type variant of Power Trip/Stored Power or Breaking Swipe!
- ✨ "Steel Roller" (Métalliroue) (Ferrorullo)
- It can be either Steel-Type or Bug-Type, but the French & Italian names leave no room for imagination. It's surely Steel-Type.
- Someone mentioned Scolipede but I think that this is a new Melmetal Move maybe linked to its rotating bolts.
- -UPDATE-
- An effect Move like Body Slam that Paralyze or Drop a Stat?
- ✨ "Scale Shot" (Rafale Écailles) (Squamacolpo)
- Scale as always the first thing we can scream is Kommo-O but this would be the THIRD special move for it, so hopefully not!
- Actually several Pokémon could be associated with scales. There are sclaes from skin and scales from insects such as moths and butterflies. There's a rumor mentioning G-Dustox & G-Beautifly so maybe it could be a special move for these Pokémon.
- We should also remember those Pokémon evolving through Dragon Scale and Prism Scale Items and 'm talking about Seadra/Kingdra & Feebas/Milotic.
- -UPDATE-
- Dragon-Type Multi-Hit move?
- ✨ "Meteor Beam" (Laser Météore) (Raggiometeora)
- There are few Laser/Meteor moves out there so we can't tell exactly what this is or who's gonna be able to learn it. Some Pokémon from space? It's like a Rock-Type moves similar to Focus Blast? Who knows.
- ✨ "Shell Side Arm" (Kokiyarme) (Armaguscio)
- This will be for sure the signature move of Galarian Slowbro or Slowking by any chance. In the trailers G-Slow is hiding the arm, so yea we are gonna see a cute letal Shellder as Arm Weapon lol.
- ✨ "Misty Explosion" (Explo-Brume) (Nebbioscoppio)
- ✨ "Grassy Glide" (Gliss'Herbe) (Erboscivolata)
- ✨ "Rising Voltage" (Monte-Tension) (Elettroimpennata)
- ✨ "Terrain Pulse" (Champlification) (Campopulsar)
- These four moves are all linked to the Terrain Fields: Misty Terrain, Grassy Terrain, Electric Terrain and for Psychic Terrain there's nothing apparently. I'll explain this in a moment.
- So these could be new Tapu-Moves but it's unlikely to happen, plus many other Pokémon are able to summon Terrain nowadays.
- The best bet is general moves that works with terrains. Simple and interesting.
- For the last move "Terrain Pulse" it seems to be a special move linked to every single terrain kinda like "Weather Ball" with Weathers and it would be amazing to have the same thing but with terrains! So maybe it's Normal-Type that change power and type based on the terrain. Learnable by all the Pokémon who can have access to Terrain Moves (Oddish, Gloom, VIleplume, Bellossom, Tangela, Tangrowth, Roserade, Flabébé, Floette, Florges, Comfey, Rillaboom, G-Weezing, Mr.Mime, G-Mr.Mime, Mr.Rime, Gardevoir, Audino, Meowstic, Spritzee, Aromatisse, Sylveon, Popplio, Brionne, Primarina, Milcery, Alcremie, Magneton, Magnezone, Manectric, Luxray, Electivire, Klinklang, Stunfisk, Togedemaru, Xurkitree, Boltund, Pincurchin, Musharna, Beheeyem, Orbeetle, Tapus)
- ✨ "Skitter Smack" (Ravage Rampant) (Strisciacolpo)
- Skitter Hit, so probably Fighting-Type move. In the Italian it is named "Stricia" and not "Sfiora" (Sfiora is a better translation for Skitter). "Striscia/Strisciare" means To Crawl so this move could be related to all those Snake Pokémon by any chance, but I'm not sure.
- -UPDATE-
- Poison/Bug-Type Priotity move?
- ✨ "Burning Jealousy" (Feu Envieux) (Fiamminvidia)
- The name leaves few path. Is it a Fire-Type move or a Fairy-Type move? At the end it's the jealousy that's burning and this emotion could be related to Fairy-Type Pokémon. Nothing else for now..
- -UPDATE-
- In a battle there's few things you could be jealous, like an opponent stat boosts. So this move could be a Fire-Type variant of Punishment that deals damage based on the Stats Changes of the target.
- ✨ "Lash Out" (Cent Rancunes) (Sfogarabbia)
- A venting move basicly, kinda like Outrage so we can expect a Rage/Rampage-Effect that last few turns where we can't select any other move outside of this one. For the Type I don't know, it could be anything really.
- -UPDATE-
- Lash Out has 2 macro meanings in English, but for the French and the Italian translation there's only one true meaning, a Verbal Attack basicly (To Vent).
- So this move is probably a Status Move instead of an actual Attack.
- ✨ "Poltergeist" (Esprit Frappeur) (Poltergeist)
- Poltergeist simply related to Polteageist, but no! There's more trust me. Poltergeist are spirit responsible for physical disturbances or noises. How can we translate this into an actual Pokémon Move? Well simple. Normally Ghost-Type moves have no effect on Normal-Type Pokémon but with a Poltergeist the story change. It's a tangible spirit that could affect even Normal types (This is kinda what happens in reality where Humans can sense Spirits). In short a Ghost-Type Move that can Hit Normal Pokémon.
- I should also mention that "Poltergeist" already exist as a Move in TCG where it does damage based on Items your opponent has in their hand. If Game Freak is going to use this for a Game Effect this move might be a Ghost-Type "Knock Off"!
- ✨ "Corrosive Gas" (Gaz Corrosif) (Gas Corrosivo)
- Of course a Poison-Type Move. The name suggest a Poison Counterpart of the existing "Freeze Dry" that can supereffective deal damage to Steel Pokémon with a chance of Poisoning the target or lower Stats, that would be awesome to be honest.
- ✨ "Coaching" (Coaching) (Coaching)
- Literally Coaching means what it means and the fact that it's the same in all the 3 languages means that this name must not be changed that much. It's related to Sport and you know what else is related to Sport? The next two Moves. So the guess here is that this is a Signature Move for a new Pokémon that have 2 different evolution based on the sport. (Swimming and Skiting. Why? Explanation below)
- ✨ "Flip Turn" (Eau Revoir) (Virata)
- Flip Turn is a term used in Swimming (Mainly known as Tumble Turn) and it's the movement used to reverse the direction in which the person is swimming. It's probably linked to "Coaching" because is a basic technique that must be learned.
- Flip Turn is most likely a Water Counterpart of the existing "U-Turn" also because the French name literally means "Good Bye" + "Water".
- If it's not a Signature Move then my guess is that it can only be learned by swimmer-like Pokémon like Golduck for example and not Pelipper just to make another example.
- ✨ "Triple Axel" (Triple Axel) (Triplo Axel)
- Triple Axel again is a term used in Skating and it's an insanely difficult movement. As before it's probably linked to "Coaching" because is a technique used in this Sport. For the effect we have no clue.
- But at the end having a New Pokémon with these signature moves makes sense.
- ✨ "Dual Wingbeat" (Double Volée) (Doppia Ala)
- Surely a Flying-Type Move. I have the feeling that it is the new Signature Move of Galarian Zapdos/Moltres/Articuno. Strange to have a single move for three Pokémon but this happened before with Sacred Sword for example and the name Dual Wingbeat could be a reference to the fact that they have two origins (Kanto & Galar) so why not.
- For the effect someone said a Dragon Darts effect but we can't really guess this one.
- ✨ "Scorching Sands" (Sable Ardent) (Sabbiardente)
- One of the most interesting new Move for sure, Sorching Sands could have very good potential. Let's find out why.
- A sand that burns, simple as that we could get a Ground-Type Move that inflicts Burn, so a "Scald" counterpart. OP
- Not to be underestimated another idea... maybe it's a Ground Field Hazard that Burns (Fire, Ground and Rock Types could ignore it)
- By the way I have high expectations for this move! Potentially learned by Sand-Related Pokémon like Sandaconda, Palossand or Krookodile.
- ✨ "Jungle Healing" (Salve Salvatrice) (Giunglacura)
- We already know it's gonna be Zarude's Signature Move.
- ✨ "Wicked Blow" (Poing Obscur) (Pugnotenebra)
- It's gonna be Single Strike Style Urshifu's Signature Move.
- ✨ "Surging Strikes" (Torrent de Coups) (Idroraffica)
- It's gonna be Rapid Strike Style Urshifu's Signature Move.
- And with this we have concluded our analysis, if you have any idea let me know on Twitter! @eclipse_tt
