  2. Credit: This route was developed by Wsop during the Pokemon red 2019 tournament and was widely used to great success. I have done nothing but write a full guide, and maintained this.   29. Before you Start:
  30. - Clear any existing save file by pressing Up + B + Select on the game title screen

  34. - Name yourself and rival 'A'
  35. - Pick Squirtle and name it 'A'
  36. - Rival 1: Tail Whip, Tackle Spam

  39. - Get XP from a random encounter
  40. * Note: During the parcel quest kill one encounter from a level 2 rat, level 3 rat, or a level 2 pidgey. You can fight level 3 pidgeys but you will take a bit of damage if you have a lower attack squirtle. This Early XP will get you Bubble for Brock
