- Just as Bell calmed down from her near-panic attack, she smelled some delicious food. In Grim Heart’s hand was some tea and cheesecakes.
- “Um, excuse me. Where did that come from?” asked Detick Bell.
- “You certainly lack common sense. Where else do you think this came from? The cafe was quite horrible and had awful smelling food, but the taste is adequate enough for us.”
- “Did… did you at least pay the bill?”
- “What is a bill?”
- This time, Bell actually did stumble out of stress, but she still managed to support herself with her right hand on the wall. Sometimes, in doing detective work, you’d have to break a few laws, but this wasn’t the type of laws Bell wanted to be breaking. Bell ran back to the cafe, checked the price tags, collected the dishes from Grim Heart after she was done, wrote a polite letter of apology, then left the dishes in the back with the money still on them before running back again, all in the span of a few seconds.
- When she came back, Grim Heart’s eyes were on her. It looked like she was observing a bizarre otherworldly creature.
