- 1. Quick Start
- Start the game by clicking/double clicking MMA President in the MMA President game folder.
- The quickest way to get an event booked is to click on 'Booking' and click on the book
- button of the day you want to book. This instantly books the day. If you want to start
- booking as soon as possible you can go into 'Settings' and turn off the 'Booking Wait For
- Training Camp' option. This means fighters will no longer need 6-12 weeks to train for their
- fights and can be booked when they are not recovering for a fight.
- So now your event is booked it's time to sign some fighters. You can also buy fighters
- but that can be expensive. Remember that some of the fighters you sign might still be
- recovering from their last fight so they will need time to recover. You can find out how long
- in the 'Roster' page. You will want to sign popular fighters for the Main Event and Co-Main
- Event so that you can increase your company's popularity if the event is a success.
- Once you've signed your fighters and have enough, you can then go back into the 'Booking'
- page and click 'Edit' on the event you've booked. You will need to book at least 5 fights
- for the event to go ahead or the event will be cancelled. Remember the fighters will need
- to be in the same weightclass and of the same gender to fight each other. You can use the
- filter buttons around the page to help you find fighters that can be matched against each
- other.
- To get good ratings on your events, you should look for fighters with average fight ratings
- that range between 70 to 100.
- So now that you've booked your fights it's time to click 'Continue Day', after each day is
- updated, keep clicking 'Continue Day'/'Continue' until the event is started.
- (You will also see the weigh-ins for your event on the day before the event takes place)
- When watching an event you can click 'Spacebar' to go through the fight, move by move or you
- can click 'Enter' to quickly go through the fight. Click continue after the fight to go to
- the next fight until the event is finished.
- 2. Continue Day/Continue Weeks
- This button will take you to the next day or to your booked event. Days without computer
- events will sim fast with the computer event days simming a little bit slower.
- Continue Week (Multi-day Advance) will take you to the day before your next event or sim through 7 days.
- 3. Main Page
- The main page is so that you can get an overview of everything that is going on in the game
- and within your company. You can see your rank, important messages, popularity and which
- fighters are about to leave your company. Also there is information about the other companys
- including which company's have the most popularity/money and which events have been the
- most successful.
- 4. Messages
- You will receive messages from your fighters, this includes if a fighter is unhappy with
- how they're being booked or if their opponent has failed a drug test or missed weight.
- You will also receive offers from other companys to buy your fighters. You will be able to
- sell the fighter within the message. If you decide to start a relationship with a fighter
- you will also receive their messages, pictures, videos here.
- 5. Booking
- On the booking page you can decide when your events will take place. If you want to book
- events immediately go into the 'Settings' page and turn off the 'Booking Wait for Training
- Camps' option. Otherwise you will have to book events 6 to 12 weeks in the future.
- To book an event, click on a 'Book Fight' button which allows you to book the fight
- in the chosen slot.
- Now that you are in the Book fight page, you can use the filter buttons around the page to
- find fighters that can face each other. Fighters will need to be in the same weightclass
- and of the same gender to face each other. You can click the 'Reset' button to remove the
- filters.
- If you want to keep these filter settings, let's say you want to carrying on booking this
- division, you can click and turn on the 'Keep Filter' button so that you don't have to
- re-click the filters to book your next fight.
- You can sort the fighters by clicking the buttons above the stats 'Po' is for popularity.
- You will want your Main-Event and Co-Main Event fights to have the highest popularity fighters
- that your company has. This will give your company a chance to gain popularity if the fans
- like the fights. At the bottom of the page, it will tell you if your main two fights have
- enough popularity for your company to gain popularity.
- To book a title fight, click 'Book Title', you can then choose which title you want to book.
- There are 3 titles for each of the 21 weight divisions.
- You can also choose between 3 and 5 rounds for each fight.
- Once you have decided on your fight, click the 'Submit Fight' button. You might receive a
- warning from the commission if the fighter skills are too far apart and they won't allow for
- the fight to take place. (Also if the fighters are of different genders and weightclasses)
- 6. Sign Fighters
- You can use the filter buttons for example: weightclasses and gender to filter which type of
- fighters you want to sign. To sign a fighter, simple press the sign button. You can then choose
- if the fighter will be signed for a 3 or a 5 fight contract. If another company wants to make
- an offer for the fighter you will need to increase your bid until you out bid the other company.
- To sign the fighter simply press the 'Complete Signing' button.
- You will only be able to sign fighters that have 9 more popularity points than your company.
- For example if your company has 10 popularity points, you can only sign fighters with 19
- popularity points.
- Note: A stat to look out for is a fighter's 'Rating %', this is an average of the ratings
- from all of the fighter's fights. If they have a high rating then the fans are enjoying
- their fights. This will help you increase the popularity of your company, if your event has
- enough star power (fighters with enough popularity in the Main-Event and Co-Main Event).
- 7. Profile Page
- The profile page has a massive amount of information on each of your fighters. This includes
- their Fight History, skills, stats, relationships and training improvements. This will give
- you a good idea how good a fighter is by looking at how many stars out of 5 a fighter has
- or by how many wins they have and the type of ratings their fights are getting.
- 8. Drug Suspensions
- You will find out after a fight if a fighter has been suspended for performance enhancing
- drugs (PEDs), if they won their fight the result will be overturned and result in a DQ. If
- a fighter has a high 'Drugs' skill then they are more likely to be using PEDs. This will
- help them train faster but if they are caught, their popularity will take a hit and they
- will anger their opponent. Also a fighter will be suspended for 6 months to a year if caught
- on PEDs.
- 9. Weight-ins/Weight Misses
- Your fighters will Weigh-in the day before a fight, an asterisk next to a weight means a
- fighter has missed weight. You can find the 'Weight Cutting' skill in a fighter's profile,
- the higher the skill the less likely a fighter will miss weight.
- 10. Injuries
- After each event you will find out which of your fighters are injured by looking in the
- 'Messages' page. You can find the 'Injuries' skill in the profile page, the higher this skill
- is, the more likely a fighter can be injured in the fight. A fighter that is injured can take
- between 6 months and 12 months to recover, depending on the severity of the injury.
- 11. Roster, Company Management and Send Fighter to the training gym
- On the roster page you will have all of the filter settings to sort through your fighters.
- You will also be able to move your fighters between your three companies by clicking the
- 'Move' button and then clicking on one of the three buttons at the bottom of the page under
- 'Move to'. If you have hundreds of fighters this is a great way to place new fighters in
- a lower company to judge their potential. These fighters will still be able to gain popularity
- from these lower company events so that you can build up their popularity before they make
- the move to the Main Company.
- You can also use the 2nd/3rd Companies as a way of rebuilding fighters or simply running out
- an underperforming fighter's contract.
- There is also a button to send a fighter to train in your gym. There are only 100 places in
- your gym, so choose which fighters you send wisely.
- 11.1 Extend Fighter Contract.
- On the Roster page you will find the 'Extend Contracts' Button. This will take you to the
- Extend Contracts Page where you will find a list of fighters who have less than 3 fights on
- their contract or they have less than 29 days on their contract. By clicking on the 'DL'
- Contracts Days Left button or the 'FL' Contract Fights Left button you can find which fighters
- are closest to having their contract run out. Click the 'Extend' button on any of the fighter
- rows to bring up the extend contract dialogue box. Click the 'Extend Contract' button to
- extend the fighter's contract.
- Note: If a fighter is unhappy with their booking they will not want to re-sign their contract.
- Don't worry, you'll be able to re-sign them again after a year cooldown period.
- 12. Staff Sign
- On this page, you will be able to sign 7 different types of staff, from Ring Girls to Coaches.
- Simply click the 'Sign' button and then choose between an 18 & 30 month contract
- before clicking 'Complete Signing' to sign your staff member.
- You will only be able to sign staff that have 9 more popularity points than your company.
- For example if your company has 10 popularity points, you can only sign staff with 19
- popularity points.
- 13. Staff Select
- To place a member of staff into a company position, click one of the 'Mo' buttons
- in the top half of the screen and then click the staff member 'Move' button next to your
- chosen staff to move them into their staff position.
- Note: Only staff that you select will count against your wage bill.
- 14. Buy Fighters
- Buy fighters is very much like Sign Fighters accept that you will have to pay a fee to the
- company that you are buying the fighter from. Also you will have to pay the fighter a
- larger wage.
- You can click the company buttons at the top of the page to sort through fighters from
- that particular company. You will not be able to buy fighters from companies with 9 more
- popularity points than yours.
- Note: It's best to buy fighters when your events are making a lot of money and you have
- a million+ in the bank as if you go into negative finances you will not be able to sign
- fighters over 10 popularity.
- 15. Gym Training
- When you click the train button on the roster page, this page is where your fighters go to
- train. You can see your coaches at the top of the page and their skills. On this page you will
- be able to decide which type of skill a fighter will train. By clicking one of the 4 'Train'
- buttons, you can choose if a fighter will train 'All Skills', 'Striking', 'Grappling' or
- 'Defense/Health(Cardio)'.
- By clicking the 'R' button on the fighter's row, you can remove them from the trainig gym.
- Note: Once a fighter reaches the age of 36/37 their skills will start deteriorating.
- 16. CEO Rankings
- For all popularity points a fighter gains from fight position 1-10 in each event, your
- CEO 'Max Default' will get these points. These are then averaged for each event so that
- you can be ranked against all the other CEOs in the game.
- 17. MMA Express
- MMA Express is the game's MMA news website. Hundreds of pages of MMA information about
- the latest news and stats from the game world.
- 18. The Simulator/MMA Rules
- The fight simulator uses the skills of fighters so that each fight can simulated move by move.
- If you are not familiar with MMA rules, fights can be decided by a Knockout (KO), a submission
- (Sub) or a decision. If a fight ends in a decision, judges will decide which fighter did more
- strikes and submission attempts to win the fight. They will also weight-up how powerful the
- strikes were.
- 19. Titles
- Each weight division in your company has 3 seperate title belts, including Main, Interim and
- Challenger Titles. With 21 weight classes, this means your company has 63 belts to be won by
- your fighters.
- 20. Finances
- You can find out how much money your company has, including Money In, Money Out and your
- total staff wages on this page.
- 21. Rankings
- Fighter rankings: Fighters receive points depending on the records and rank of the fighters
- that they beat.
- 22. Retired
- Take a look at the game's retired fighters. Fighters will start thinking about retirement if
- they go on long losing streaks or once they reach 36/37 years of age. If they're still winning
- their fights, then they will put off retirement for as long as they're competitive.
- 23. Companies
- You can see all the information of rival companies by clicking on a company's 'Roster' button.
- 24. Other Signings
- Find out which fighters have been signed or bought on this page.
- 25. Choose/Start New Game
- On this page you can select any of the 10 save game slots in the game. You can also change
- the name of the save game.
- If you want to start a new game in 2019 you can click the 'New' button underneath. This will
- start a game with 5 years of simulated game data, fights and stats.
- If you start a 1995 game the game will start the game with no fighters and then generate them
- for you. You can go into 'Game Settings' to increase the amount of fighters that are generated
- each day. Also you can choose the max popularity of these generated fighters.
- The 'New Mod Game from Mod Folder' is if you decide to place the mod game files into the 'Mod'
- folder which is inside the 'Save' folder. You will then be able to click this button to use
- this mod for any of the save game slots.
- Note: If you want to start a fresh mod game to create your own game world mod, you can start
- a 1995 game and then choose which year the game will start in near the bottom of the page.
- 26. Settings
- The 'All Fighters Can Be Signed' option means that when you sign fighters you can sign any
- fighter in the game. Though if you have a small company, this could send you into negative
- finances.
- The 'Financial Freedom' option means that you don't have to worry about going into negative
- finances and you can put as many expensive fights on your events as you want.
- Ignore 'Super Signings' as these have currently been turned off. These were so that you could
- sign any free agent fighter but you would have to spend a massive amount of money. From
- testing it was too easy to bankrupt your company, so these will probably be removed soon.
- Booking Wait for Training is the training time a fighter needs before fighting. They will
- normally need between 6 and 12 weeks.
- You can choose if you want to have 'Celebrities' in the game.
- When a fighter retires or if you start a 1995 game or if you have a mod game with less than
- 3700 fighters the game will generate new fighters to fill up the game. You can choose what
- the maximum popularity of these fighters will be (1-100 popularity). Also you can choose how
- many new fighters can be generated each day. If there is a full compliment of fighters in the
- game, no new fighters will be generated.
- 27. Edit People/Create People/Add Pictures & Videos
- Edit People:
- On this page you can edit and create, fighters and staff. You can save time in creating
- fighters by using the 'Quick Add' button.
- Pic Gen Add:
- 'Pic Gen Add' is for adding pictues that will be used with generated fighters.
- Note: If you want to add your own picture/pictures for a fighter you will need to place them
- in the correct folder. You will find these folders in the 'Images' folder inside the
- MMA President game folder. You should then go into the corresponding game folder for your save
- game, let's say we're using save game 1 so we would be using the 'Game1' folder for our images.
- Add Pictures:
- If you want to use your picture as a face pic, place this in the 'Face' folder. Make sure
- you remember what the picture is called and what its file extension is, for example
- 'garyface1.jpg' or 'garyface2.png'. You can find these details by right clicking on a picture
- and then clicking properties.
- You would then choose the Face 1 slot and fill it with the picture and file extension name,
- for example: garyface1.jpg
- The other pictures slots are for the relationship part of the game. Let's say you have a
- favorite fighter, they will then occasionally send you pictures and relationship
- messages.
- Add Videos:
- You can also add videos for the relationship game, these go in the 'Videos' folder in the
- MMA President main game folder. You can use mp4 and mov files.
- 28. Edit Company Info/Add & Release Fighters and Staff
- Edit all company info here. This is also where you can change your company names if you're
- building a mod game.
- Also on the Edit Company page you can click 'Add Fighter' or 'Release' to add and release
- fighters from any company in the game. Also the same for Staff with 'Add Staff' and
- 'Remove Staff'.
- 'Add From Save' is where you can add fighters from any of the 10 save game slots in the game.
- You can also use 'Change Titles' to give a fighter their weight division title for the company
- they are currently signed with.
- 29. Repair Game
- This was created because of the old Window 10 bug that would suddenly turn your computer off. At
- the same time it would occasional blank the game files if they were being updated while
- continuing to the next day.
- You can also use these buttons to go back to 2 different days of the past week, let's say you
- make a mistake and book the wrong Main-Event fight.
- 30. Installing a Mod Game
- Check out this video for a visual explanation on how to install a Mod Game:
- Installing a mod is fairly simple. It is a case of replacing the save game folder and the
- image folder of one of the save games with the mod folders. In your mod there should be 2 folders,
- let's say you are replacing Save Game slot 10, you would go into the 'Save' folder from the
- MMA President main game folder. From here, you should then replace the 'Save10' folder with the
- Save10 mod folder. (Rename the old Save10 folder to Save10bak)
- Next you need to go back to the MMA President main game folder and go into the 'Images' folder.
- You will need to replace the 'Game10' folder with the 'Game10' mod folder.
- (Rename the old Game10 folder to Game10bak)
- If there are any video files in the mod, simply find the 'Videos' folder in the MMA President
- main game folder and put the mod video files in the 'Videos' folder.
- When you next load up MMA president, you simply need to select the Save Game 10 slot from the
- 'Choose Game' page. If you are already in MMA President, simply select another game and then
- reselect your mod game.
- You can put your mod into any of the save game slots but you will have to make sure that the
- game folders have the correct names, for example the Save5 folder is for the fifth save game slot.
- 31. Mod Creation
- The best way to start a mod is to go into the 'Choose Game' page and click the 'Select' button of the
- save game slot you want to use. Let's say you choose save game slot 5, you will then need to click
- the 'New' button on that row that is below the heading 'New Game 1995'. This will bring up a dialogue
- box asking, 'Start a new game in this slot?', click 'Yes'. You will then be presented with a new
- page. There will be a text field with, 'Enter Starting Year', basically enter which year you want
- to start the game in, for example '2020'.
- To continue with making your mod, just click 'Play Game with Celebs' or 'Play Game without
- Celebs'. You can always change this in settings later.
- You can now go into 'Edit Company' from the left menu and then click the 'Edit Company' button at
- the top of the page to change the names and details of your companies. We will come back to this
- page later.
- To start creating your fighters you will need to go into 'Edit People' from the menu on
- the left of the page. You can add fighters and change any of their attribues with 'Add Fighter'
- or you can use the quick method by using 'Quick Add'. You can always edit the fighters later by
- using the 'Edit/Delete Fighter' button at the top of the page.
- To add your own picture/s for a fighter you will need to place them in the correct folder. You will
- find these folders in the 'Images' folder which is inside the MMA President game folder.
- You should then go into the corresponding game folder for your save game, let's say we're using
- the save game 1 slot, this means we would be using the 'Game1' folder for our images. Most of your
- pictures will probably be face pictures, so you would place this in the 'Face' picture folder.
- Make sure you remember what the picture is called and what its file extension is, for example
- 'garyface1.jpg' or 'garyface2.png'. You can find these details by right clicking on a picture
- and then clicking properties.
- You would then use the Face Pic 1 text field and type the picture and file extension name,
- for example: garyface1.jpg
- The other picture slots are for the relationship part of the game. Let's say you have a
- favorite fighter, they will then occasionally send you pictures and relationship
- messages. You can start a relationship by going into a fighter's profile page. The button is found
- at the top right of the page.
- Add Videos:
- You can also add videos for the relationship game, these go in the 'Videos' folder in the
- MMA President main game folder. You can use mp4 and mov files. These like pictures can also
- be added in by typing in the file name and extension for example: garyvideo1.mp4
- into the 'Video 1' text field that can be found by using the 'Pictures/Videos' button in the fighter
- edit page.
- To Edit a fighter click 'Edit/Delete Fighter' at the top of the page and then find
- the fighter you want to edit using the filters on the page. Once you've found your fighter,
- click the 'Edit' button.
- Once you've created some fighters you can go back into the 'Edit Company' page by using the
- menu on the left. You can use the 'Add Fighter' and 'Release' buttons at the top of the page to
- add and release fighters for any company you choose. You can also use 'Change Titles' to choose a
- company's division champions.
- Creating/Adding staff is very similar to fighters, use the 'Create Staff' button in the
- 'Edit People Page'. These can then be added to a company by going into the 'Edit Company' page
- by using the left menu and clicking the 'Add Staff' button at the top of the page.
- 32. Computer CEO A.I.
- One of the most important features of the game is to allow the computer controlled CEOs to do
- almost everything that you can in the game. Depending on their ability, these CEOs will book
- events, sign/buy fighters and have their own business relationships with fighters which will
- depend on how good their booking abilities are. You will be able to see how well the other CEOs
- are rated in the CEO rankings page, you might even see one of their fighters complain to the
- media at MMA Express.
- 33. Trouble Shooting
- If the game is running slowly, try turning off as many unneeded programs as possible. One fault
- I've found after the recent Windows 10 update is that when you play a Youtube video with Brave
- Browser and have it playing in the background, this will dramatically slow the game down. Youtube
- seems to work fine in Chrome.
- If you are not seeing all of the screen, try unclicking the windowed button before pressing play.
- This will be shown after you double click the 'MMA President' executable file. Also, you might be
- able to choose a different screen display resolution, make sure you choose one of the wider
- resolutions like 1600x1024 or something of a simular ratio.
- 34. Thank you
- A big thank you for buying MMA President, which is a brand new take on the sports management
- game genre. If you have any comments or ideas for improvements in this game, or for future
- versions of MMA President please contact simworldcreate@gmail.com
