狸竜┃「ｈ☆ｙ」: Absolutely not. The inklings are clearly the superior race in Splatoon -- they have an organised, developed, and widespread culture. The octarians were displaced from their land and forced to literally build off whatever scraps they could and they formed their own pseudo-cultures.

狸竜┃「ｈ☆ｙ」: Arguably, the rest of the world is flooded. The inklings only live in such small sections of land. The octarians were displaced to smaller areas and can only really build upwards if they want to expand their land. There's no need for inklings to be so widespread. There's not really much a place to go. They don't have a need to evolve like the octarians did, anyway. They're fine just where they are. Their biggest threat was the zapfish being stolen, as it's their main power source. They can easily rebuild whatever is damaged because of their resources, but not really replace their power source.
狸竜┃「ｈ☆ｙ」: So in a war standpoint, because the octarians have the most valuable resource as an economic culture, they can start to drive out the inklings that drove them out in the first place. Which of course failed because you completely destroyed their small armies. The inklings are more expendable than octarians. Basically inklings don't really care what goes on. they live in their secluded world and that's just fine with them. That's Japanese ideology. They have no need to evolve, so it's doubtful there's other inklings "out there" that evolved differently. There's so little space in this world because it's flooded.

狸竜┃「ｈ☆ｙ」: and the octarians evolved in many ways as defence and restructuring of their culture, which really sorta breaks them apart and causes a lot of things to go wrong. The octolings are probably what was really left of the former culture, but you of course wiped them out. Great job, hero.

狸竜┃「ｈ☆ｙ」: You wiped out almost their entire culture to begin with. The two would have otherwise lived fine in unity but squids are vicious and, unfortunately, that's also part of Japanese ideology in the sense of imperialism.
