- When do we use each of these to talk about the future?
- will: spontaneous decisions (decisions I make as I speak), offers, promises, future facts, predictions
- going to: intentions (decisions I made before I speak), predictions (especially if I can see right now that something is going to happen soon)
- present continuous: plans and appointments with arrangements (they must be action verbs)
- might: future possibility (plans or predictions)

- Handout p. 41 part 7 - Write your “diary” for this weekend. Include at least two definite plans (with arrangements) and at least two possible plans
- Discuss your plans with the rest of your group. Who has the most interesting plans? Who will have the most boring weekend?

- On Saturday morning I’m going to sleep.
- If someone says, “I’m gonna sleep,” then sleep is the main verb and the person will continue to sleep from Friday night.
- If the person says, “I’m going to sleep,” (with more stress on “going”), then go is the main verb and the person will go to bed on Saturday morning (after being awake all night).
