Why I stopped doing summaries for /fgog/

In case anyone’s curious, to answer the question of why I stopped doing summaries, it’s not so much this:

It’s not about wanting thanks. I translated stuff because I wanted to watch the ensuing discussions and humour. That stopped being rewarding somewhere around the second half of 2016 when the shitposting ramped up too much and the interesting discussion and actual funny posts became scarcer and scarcer.

Putting it bluntly: you are unbearably fucking tedious 99% of the time. It wasn’t shitposting directed at me, I can ignore that, it’s shitposting in general. I don’t find humor in spamming the same circular “arguments” forever from participants that are deliberately doing it to shit up the board, or in unbearably monotonous yet endless discussions of who is or isn’t a “cuck”, and I have no idea who thinks adding “meme-“ to a character’s name constitutes wit. And the fact is that, drop into the thread at any random time, and odds are this will constitute the majority of the ongoing “discussion”. There is no point even in filtering when it’s most of the thread anyway.

The quid-pro-quo was “I’m interested in what you’ll say, so I want to tell you what’s happening in the game.” Either the thread population changed, most of you took a blow to the head and became retarded, or it’s just a gaggle of shitposters on constant overdrive while the rest drift in and out in apathy like me, but regardless, the end result is that the actual content of the thread at any given time tends to be tedious brainless repetitive bullshit posted by trolls at trolls. I’m not interested enough in what you have to say to do anything for you anymore. Besides, a lot of this stuff seems like it's already being done by other people, so it's not like I'm that needed anyway.
