Jason vs. Predator

Verlux VS Stalin:

Again, this was a very solid round with good arguments put forth by both sides. Ultimately, Stalin put forth an especially strong line of argumentation that Jason is inconsistent in a couple of key areas, especially his ability to resist piercing and his speed. In the circumstances of the fight, the "horror-portation" that Verlux demonstrates seems outweighed by how Jason will just stalk towards his opponent, especially considering Verlux himself provided many examples of this (as Stalin points out). I also felt that the arguments against the plasmacaster and wristblades seemed mismanaged, especially given how bladed weapons basically always pierce Jason. Overall, it seemed like Predator had the edge in offense and speed, which would put the battle in Stalin's camp.

Also, this wasn't something that affected my result, just an observation: It really grates on me when a debater adopts an aggressive, condescending attitude in a response, the way Verlux's second response did. It's already overly cocky when you're totally secure in your position, but when your opponent is making arguments at least as good as yours, it verges on irritating.
