  1. Wand of Woe
  2. Requires Attunement by a Spellcaster
  3.
  4. Once, the Wand of Wonders, this wand was a fantastical object that would draw magical essence from the Weave, and would give seemingly random magical effects when used. Now, the Dark Powers of the Shadow Fell have corrupted the portion of the Weave that touches the Demiplane of Dread, and the magic the wand absorbs is now affected by that same corruption.
  5.
  6. This wand has 7 charges. While holding it, you can use an action to expend 1 of its Charges and choose a target within 120 feet of you. The target can be a creature, an object, or a point in space. Roll d100 and consult the following table to discover what happens.
  7. If the effect causes you to Cast a Spell from the wand, the spellโ€™s save DC is 15. If a spell normally has a range expressed in feet, its range becomes 120 feet if it isnโ€™t already.
  8.
  9. If an effect covers an area, you must center the spell on and include the target. If an effect has multiple possible subjects, the DM randomly determines which ones are affected.
  10.
  11. The wand regains 1d6 + 1 expend Charges daily at dusk, as long as you are in the Demiplane of Dread. If you expend the wandโ€™s last charge, roll 1d20. On a 1, the wand crumbles to grave soil and is destroyed.
  12.
  13. One you leave the Demiplane of Dread, this wand will begin regaining Wonder charges, daily at dawn. At that point, track the number of remaining Woe charges, just as you did the Wonder charges.
  14.
  15. Take note of how many charges the wand had when entering Barovia, when rolling on the table of Wonder, if your result is even and there are Wonder charges left, cast from the table of Wonder. Otherwise, if the result is odd or there are no Wonder charges remaining, cast from the table of Woe.
  16.
  17. Wonder Charges Remaining: _____
  18. Woe Charges Remaining: _____
