  14. I want to build my first niche website and monetize it with ads. The website will be in a language that is significantly smaller than English, so there is little competition: Only one other niche website exists with a niche even remotely similar to what I want to make a website about.
  15. Without revealing too much, the niche is about a certain type of skills that some people want to learn. I know a lot about this niche. Many keywords related to the niche get 1k-10k monthly searches according the Google keywords planner and it appears that the niche has a CPC of roughly 1-3 USD.
  16. When I search for keywords that the other website in my niche has articles about, that website's articles typically show up as the second result (the first one being Wikipedia). 30. You'll need a lot of visitors with a lot of clicks to cover hosting fees with adsense. Their pay has been peanuts lately, although on the Google Ads (formerly Adwords) platform, the click pricing has gone up.
  31. Also, if you're a beginner - start caring about profits - if you're really serious about IM.
  32. If you're just doing it for the sake of it, go ahead. Might as well cover the fees from your own pocket.
