#PastebinMonday 07/26/2021 PPL CPU Level 10 Challenge Edition

Hey guys, how’s it goin?

I really didn't get much done this weekend. I have too many plans up in the air for the amount of time I have to plan them. I can't even tell you about all of the things I'm up to. I can tell you about one thing I am doing, though.

BUT FIRST! Here is this week's schedule—it starts a bit tentative because I have last-second tournament things to set up:

Wednesday (60% happening) – 8pm EDT – Tetris Attack 8 Second Lakitus Only, Episode 8 – Estimate: 2 hours
Thursday (75% happening) – 8pm EDT – Final Fantasy X gains a... Sixth Sense – Estimate: 2 hours
Friday – 8pm EDT – In the Salt Mines with the PG crew and... Pokémon Puzzle Challenge? – Estimate: 4 hours
Saturday – 4pm EDT – PPL CPU Level 10 Challenge #1 – Estimate: 5 hours

So what is this “PPL CPU Level 10 Challenge?” Anyone who has played Pokémon Puzzle League should be able to figure out some things, but let me tell you all about how Saturday is going to go down:

In Pokémon Puzzle League, I will have the CPU option turned on for 2P Stadium VS and set to 10 for the hardest CPU available. I will then proceed to play FIFTY (50) best of 3 matches against that CPU on speed level 10. When I am done,

I will give a Twitch gift sub to my chat for every point the CPU got—every best of 3 that the CPU managed to win.

I am not that comfortable on level 10 speed. However, the CPU isn't that great at level 10 speed, either. There is a non-zero chance I make a dent in my bank account when this is all said and done.

During this challenge, I will be keeping a running tally of donations and bits for people to tell me with their dollars what character to use. I will also open up chat predictions where viewers can bet channel points on whether or not the CPU wins a single game in any given match. With my uncertain confidence with level 10, this should happen often.

I am hopeful that this is an event. I am hopeful that this can be a regular thing. If this weekend goes well enough, I will aim to do this on the last Saturday of every month. September and October might be problematic for that timing, but I want to be able to try something different every once in a while. I've wanted to get comfortable with level 10 play for a while now and I figured this would be the best way for me to ease into that. Who knows—I might be able to extend this to actual PvP play one day! That will get real expensive real fast, I'm sure.
