  1. Again Aldrah had invited Sors to participate in his necromancy practices, as he had done at other times, it was good to have a tutor with him in case he needed help.
  2.
  3. Already inside his house Aldrah headed for the second floor, slowly floating and being followed by Sors. Before climbing to the second floor, Aldrah's gaze quickly turned to the dispensary, for a few seconds, He thought to himself, for there was the body of a miserable being who would soon be a servant to Aldrah.
  4.
  5. Already on the second floor, Aldrah went to his place that did the last experiments. The place was always neat and tidy, with everything the magi needed for its practices.
  6.
  7. "Well, let's start the experiment.. I feel that this time I'll be able to do everything right and revive the human! I'll follow your advices Sors!" He smiled at his tutor, such that he was a little younger than Aldrah, but more experienced.
  8. (Aldrah)
  9.
  10. Grey and gold looked forwards as a haze of occultism bled from his person. His expression was vacant except for that malice of the Paladin's bad mood. It was like his day had been soiled, yet the snarl at the fountain gave little explanation why. The door to Aldrah's house opens and the pair of Necromancers float inside, Lord Ultovex ascending to the top floor after his squire.
  11.
  12. "Ya, le's start it. Peform tha' successful necromancy. I ain't givin' tips, unless it ain't raise again. Think o' it as ya final exam."
  13.
  14. Lord Ultovex's tone was gravely and annoyed. "Place tha' body on tha' desk an' begin."
  15.
  16. (Sors Ultovex)
  17.
  18. Without saying anything, the magi turned and took the body of the box with extreme care, placing it on the table. The body in question was what Elysian had killed some time ago, which was frozen up to now, where Aldrah using his powers quickly thawed the body. Clearly you could see that it was a Gehennian, where the cause of death was the broken neck.
  19.
  20. "This one did not give me much trouble . I left it to my old servant, to kill him, after I left him incapacitated on the ground." He smiled sideways.
  21.
  22. Then Aldrah opened the table drawer and removed his box of utensils, such that was always with him, having everything the man needed for his experiments.
  23.
  24. Opening his small box of utensils, Aldrah withdrew what he usually wore, a scapel, a thread roll, and a needle, all of which were central to his experiments involving the Corpus Creare.
  25.
  26. Opening the drawer again, he now removed a strip of cloth and a few small wooden skewers, four of them.
  27.
  28. He began to tuck the neck of the body into place. Then he began to place the wooden skewers around the neck of the body, and put the band around to firm the skewers. Such spikes along the strip of cloth would give a hold for the broken neck.
  29.
  30. "Ok.. Now fill the body with fluids." He spoke as he picked up the scapel.
  31.
  32. Carefully, Aldrah pulled the dead body arm to the side, where he slowly directed his hand with the scapel and cut the wrist of the body, thus gaining access to the veins.
  33.
  34. Placing the scapel aside, Aldrah carefully pulled the vein, which was severed, then beginning to conjure water and send into the vein, thus beginning to fill the dead body with fluids. The amount of water was controlled and constant, where he stayed for a few minutes sending the water to the body. When Aldrah saw that it was enough, he stopped, took the needle with thread and began to sew the ends of the veins. After sewing the veins, he sewed the wrist that had been cut.
  35.
  36. With the procedures performed, it would now be the attempt to revive the being. Before he started, he gave a brief glance at Sors, ??who did not seem to be in a good mood at the moment, to see if he would say anything.
  37. (Aldrah)
  38.
  39. Hatred and malice bleed into the wood of the house, smaller chaotic green glows coming from the Whispering Eye. Impatenintly, the Paladin's gloved fingers started to tap away at his elbow, glancing down the staircase. Like at the fountain, he again snarls, between looks at the work that his apprentice performs.
  40.
  41. "Repair tha' body fer revival. Once tha's done, set about tha' preperations." The command said, as Aldrah started to work away at making sure the neck was in place. Grey and gold blink furiously, and his left hand raises, scratching at the stitches near his golden eye.
  42.
  43. The veins of the corpse were slowly being filled with Aldrah's water magic. It wasn't blood, but such things were non-essential to the necromantic ability. Movement derived from mana that was connected to the base of the spine.
  44.
  45. "So long as it's in good condition, when ya raise it, should work like normal. Mite want ta give it brain damage ta ensure tha' first is a loyal subject. Can't be an inconvenience if it can't think."
  46. (Sors Ultovex)
  47.
  48. Taking a deep breath, Aldrah would now focus his full attention on the ritual he would take to revive this being. He would do everything calmly and without haste, he did not want to fail again.
  49.
  50. Sors's hint to do some damage to the brain of the body before reviving it could be useful, but Aldrah did not want to end up damaging the brain and making it unusable.
  51.
  52. Well leaving the subject to give some brain damage aside, now it was time to start the proceedings, "Okay!"
  53.
  54. Slowly Aldrah directed his hands toward the head of the body, placing them on the sides of the head. Sending mana to a specific point was the most effective way for what Sors once said and for what Aldrah saw during his experiments.
  55.
  56. Then, calmly in his actions, Aldrah began to send his energy into the brain circuits, starting to slowly and completely fill the brain.
  57.
  58. In the last few times, Aldrah did it the wrong way, he had to be calm and not hurry.
  59.
  60. After a few minutes, when the brain had already been completely full by Aldrah's mana, the energy began to flow to the spine, going through the circuits to the end of the spine, where again the process took some time, but at last it completely involved the spine.
  61.
  62. Still sending the energy to the dead body, Aldrah took a deep breath. His eyes remained closed, he was keeping his focus fully on the body.
  63.
  64. With the spine fully wrapped in mana, it began to flow toward the heart, filling the circuits in its path, now beginning to fill the heart with energy.
  65.
  66. Gradually Aldrah could feel the heart begin to beat as he was being filled with mana, so he would soon start pumping the energy into the rest of the circuits.
  67.
  68. After a few minutes, the heart had been filled with mana, it was beating and pumping the energy into the rest of the body.
  69.
  70. Now receiving the mana from the heart, the stomach began to be filled, being the last of the important organs that needed mana. After a few moments, the stomach had been filled from start to finish with energy.
  71.
  72. Gradually, the rest of the circuits were being filled with mana, where at the end, when Aldrah saw that he could stop, he took his hand from the human's head.
  73.
  74. Aldrah was already being able to feel the soul through the barrier that separated the world from the living and the dead. Because of the circuits that had been filled with mana, the soul was being pulled into the body. Aldrah would give some time for everything to be properly routed, then perform the last part of the ritual.
  75. (Aldrah)
  76.
  77. The hint had been disregarded. Grey and gold narrowed with disapproval as the brain was not injured, arms lowering from scratching at the side of his temple and instead crossing over his chest in faint annoyance. Gloved fingers tapped against his sleeves, watching Aldrah first slowly fill the brain with mana. Following that was the spine, then the heart.
  78.
  79. At last he filled the stomach, the order that Sors always did it in. The disapproving nod slightly stops, but the glare of his full words not being heeded still remained. Gradually more and more mana started to fill the body as it was prepared, and yet there was not a rush. The soul still was yet to be called into the world.
  80.
  81. "Go on. Step by step."
  82. (Sors Ultovex)
  83.
  84. More and more the soul approached the body, as if it were being pulled by a black hole and could not escape. Aldrah waited patiently for the right moment, when the Soul was in the right place for him to perform the final act of the ritual.
  85.
  86. When the soul was at the point that Aldrah felt was necessary to perform the last act, he raised his hands up, opened his eyes and said, "The time has come, you must return .." He stopped and began to pull something slowly in direction of the body, where he then continued to speak, "Your life has been taken, but I am returning it."
  87.
  88. Placing his hands on the chest of the dead body, Aldrah slowly pulled them to the side, this act was to position the soul back to the body at once.
  89.
  90. Closing his eyes again, he recited a few more words, "Get up now, and serve me!" shouted.
  91.
  92. At the end of his words, a circle of energy formed around the body, it glowed to its total, not as of the last times, that it wasweak.
  93.
  94. Aldrah stopped and opened his eyes, staring at the body, waiting for it to begin to have some reaction.
  95.
  96. Then, after a few moments, reactions began to occur, the body began to have violent spasms that were gradually decreasing.
  97.
  98. After the spasms stopped the body began to move its fingers and toes, slowly.
  99.
  100. Aldrah was totally focused on the body, he felt he could do it this time!
  101.
  102. Following the movements of his fingers, the legs and arms of the body began to move and then the body lifted, still sitting on the table.
  103.
  104. The magi stared at the moving body, he did not move at all, just stared, fascinated by the progress he had made!
  105.
  106. The body after a while without moving, began to open its eyes slowly and turned in the direction of Aldrah, just staring.
  107.
  108. With a smile on his face, Aldrah jumped up and shouted, "I DIT IT!" He had finally been able to perform the ritual completely, where there was the reward of his arduous studies! He had been able to revive a human.
  109.
  110. Aldrah looked at Sors, ??still smiling, looking to see what he would say.
  111.
  112.
  113. (Aldrah)
  114.
  115. The grey and gold listen to the spoken invocation of Aldrah, drawing the soul into the body. He squinted, not used to the same sort of ritual, but he did not raise his voice to interrupt. He watched as the hands pressed to the chest of the cadavers, and as the circle of energy formed around it and grew.
  116.
  117. There was a wait, a pause. The body began to spasm, like it did normally, the throes that before hinted it was failure. But rather then coming to a complete and sudden stop, rendered braindead, this time the body slowed, moving its fingers and toes. Lord Ultovex squinted, watching at the body.
  118.
  119. Then the eyes opened and looked towards the Necromancer. Not, Ultovex, but Aldrah instead. The older man jumped, almost like a child receiving a new toy. How long had it been since the Lord had engaged in such joy himself? When did he feel so changed?
  120.
  121. "Completed. Ya used extra energy in 'em spoken incantation, but it worked, ya? Ya brought back ya first person. They're gon' be numb an' slow. But they'll serve ya."
  122. (Sors Ultovex)
  123.
  124. Returning to his composure, Aldrah looked at the undead at the table, where he would now give the first order to the undead, "Go to the corner .." He spoke pointing to the corner of the room.
  125.
  126. With a little delay, a few seconds, the undead began to move and get off the table, and then began to walk slowly to the location ordered.
  127.
  128. Aldrah stared at the being, until it reached the place ordered.
  129.
  130. Then, turning his gaze to Sors, Aldrah walked towards his tutor, "Finally I did it.. It's fascinating.. And you helped me Sors, so.. Thank you!" He smiled,"But I think I need to rest a little now... All this ritual made me tired."
  131. (Aldrah)
  132.
  133. The Undead went to the corner, the first arisen by Aldrah. Gold and grey looked over their squire, faintly nodding as the undead moved away from the wooden table and followed the order. Then Lord Ultovex looked at Aldrah.
  134.
  135. "Ya completed tha' first task set in front o' ya. But it is not tha' only one ya will have. Ya ma squire. So startin' nex' time ya see him, ya gon' talk ta Alastor. Ya gon' show him tha' ya a Necromancer now. An' ya gon' enlist in tha' Legion an' prove yaself.
  136.
  137. Ya either gon' be a man o' power, o seen as a dog. Which one ya are is up ta ya. Fer now, ya sleep, ya."
  138. (Sors Ultovex)
  139.
  140. Aldrah nodded.
  141.
  142. "I have something for you, a gift." Aldrah said turning and heading for his chest, inside he took out a bottle of Ale, "I just made some drinks .. And I saved one for you!" He spoke as he walked toward Sors, handing him the Ale bottle.
  143.
  144. Then Aldrah said, "Well, let's go out together .. Because I had locked the door when we entered .." he said walking toward the stairs.
  145. (Aldrah)
  146.
  147. Lord Ultovex shook his head dissmisively.
  148.
  149. "I ain't drink. Alcohol hinders tha' brain. It makes thangs mor' inconvenient cause ya let thangs slip tha' ya wouldn't have otherwise, o ya make actions tha' are unwise. I prefer ta be sober completely. Ya want ta bring ma a gift? I'm lookin' fer rare thangs. Bring ma one o' those."
  150.
  151. He floated then after Aldrah. "Ya. Le's go back out."
  152. (Sors Ultovex)
