―BACKGROUND: inhyeong is someone that's always taken pity to her mother. even when she was younger, she felt pity for her mother, who married a man who was mostly absent and abusive. when he wasn't absent, he would be moody; easily frustrated. disappointed this, disappointed that– inhyeong felt as if her and her mother were living to appease someone they barely even knew. her father's expectations for her were high, as a lawyer that wanted his only child to follow in his footsteps. she was 16 when the pressure became too much, when she couldn't stand seeing her mother submitting herself and allowing her to be mistreated. she was 16 when she ran away, and inhyeong was homeless. it took a toll on her, yes, but she managed to get by with the money she stole from her father when he was away and the allowance she was given. on a rainy day a little over a year later, at 17, she was taken in by choi haneul, a kcia agent who had been keeping an eye on her for a little over a month. her adoptive mother had said that she admired inhyeong's resilience, and after seeing how high her iq score was, she was put into the program. despite not wanting to have anything to do with her birth father, inhyeong occasionally visits her mother; their meet-ups are usually outside of the house, though, just in case. although they're not as close as a mother-daughter relationship should be–definitely not as close as haneul and inhyeong–they try. when she attended school, inhyeong was always thought to be.. less smart than she actually was. despite her high ranking in the class (which surprised more than a few of her classmates), everyone always thought that she was cheating, or maybe she had privilege because of who her foster mother was. most people didn't understand that a pretty face can be smart, too. some only befriended her thinking that they would get some of the "privilege" too, and while she didn't really care that people were stupid enough to think so, it had caused her to be more withdrawn (but that didn't stop her from being able to charm the pants off of people whenever she did come out of her quiet shell). she didn't care, all she needed was her new mom, and a life without her father.

―PERSONALITY: matching the stereotype placed on people bless with looks like her, inhyeong is confident in herself (mostly her looks). could often be thought of as conceited, she would never bring herself down for anyone to hear or herself. there are many misconceptions about her, though. she's misconceived to be quite the flirt, despite her not ever meaning to send those signals. with her exuding confidence and charisma, people often get the wrong idea about her intentions whenever she interacts with them. people simply get whisked away by the way she talks, or the way she seldom cracks lame-but-witty jokes, or how she becomes touchy if you're someone she's comfortable with. the russian-korean beauty is definitely someone who can carry conversation well–knows how to use her words–but on the contrary, inhyeong is usually quiet unless you speak to her. a figure you see in the corner of the room watching, observant. she's an extrovert, don't get the wrong idea, but she merely doesn't //know// how to start a conversation so she lets the other person do it for her. inhyeong developed her habit of being extremely observant to every detail and movement as she stayed in haneul's care; her foster mother was very firm about how she needed this skill in everyday life, and how useful it would be in the future (which proved to be true, seeing her current situation and the phd for sociology in her room). another trait she had taken from her foster mother was to be secretive— or private, to choose a more specific word. she pretty much doesn't tell anyone anything about herself or her private life, preferring to keep all of that inside. in conversation, she would always try and veer conversation from anything that's too personal (oh, she has no problem talking about skills or anything like that, but anything that could be vital or allow people to search her up/identify her? it's likely that the "shared info" is a lie). inhyeong is polite, though, and kind; people genuinely like her– slash the shallow end of her personality– and she's genuine about her relationships as well. it just takes a while to get through to her. most think of her as mature, and she is... for the most part. inhyeong has quite the perverted mind, and if there's anything that she can do best, it is definitely thinking of more.. creative contexts. another part of her that will always shine through, is her competitiveness. no matter what the event or game or bet, despite how confident she is, she doesn't like it when people doubt her abilities. so she always tries her hardest to be the best at whatever she's doing, and won't settle for being anything less.
