Fighting Games [/tlvg/][Lupa][Leia]

>”I’m bored.” Leia says, indignant that she was left in Lupa’s care while their mothers went to shop.
>”Ah. Really? Never would have guessed.” Lupa looks up from her phone, Leia was doing her best to loom over the screen.
>”Let’s do something...” Leia whines and stamps her penny loafer.
>Lupa sighs and stands up from the couch. “Coloring?”
>”Nope.” Leia responds.
>”Uh... video games?” Lupa says after thinking for a second.
>"Yeah!" Leia shouts, beginning to jump up and down. "Do you have Super Princess Beatdown Reduxx?"
>"Better!" Lupa says as she walks to her room. "I'll be back in a second."

>Lupa walks down the stairs with two controllers and a small black box.
>"What's that?" Leia asks, it didn't look like any console she had ever seen.
>"Loan made it for my birthday. She put a bunch of old games into it. It's pretty cool." Lupa explains.
>"I hate old video games!" Leia pouts.
>"Fine. But it's all I have, so you can just watch." Lupa shrugs.
>It takes a few minutes to set up the TV to play the inputs, especially since Lupa usually didn't do it herself.
>"It's on." Leia says, yawning to play up how bored she is.
>"Sweet." Lupa sits down and starts scrolling through the menu of the emulator.
>Leia notices 'Princess Beatdown' in the menu.
>"Hey! I want to play that."
>"I thought you hated old video games."
>"Y-yeah, I want to see how much it sucks!" Leia responds curtly.
>"I'll play it. You can watch."
>"No, but I- fine!"
>Lupa goes to Arcade mode and chooses Sunshine Princess.
>"What's throw?" Lupa says aloud.
>"It's B and forward!"
>"I wasn't asking for help. I was talking to myself."
>Lupa goes for a throw, but it glances off the other fighter.
>"Why didn't it work?" Lupa asks aloud. Again.
>"Sunshine isn't a grappler. It's super ease to break her throws!" Leia chides.
>"I knew that. Shut up." Lupa snaps.
>"No! You shut up! Let me play the stupid, old game! You-" Leia yells.
>"Yeah." Lupa says simply.
>"What?" Leia stops mid-tyraid, visibly confused.
>"I just wanted to tease you. I asked Loan to put this on, in case you ever wanted to play." Lupa smiles.
>"What?" Leia is touched that her cousin thought of her.
>"Well, I asked her to put on Reduxx, but she said that the AKI Engine was superior and Reduxx was a crime against it." Lupa says, confused.
>"Oh." Leia joins her in her confusion. The fuck is AKI?
>"Yeah. I didn't get it either." Lupa shrugs.
>"Do you wanna... play Versus?" Leia asks, uncharacteristically timid.
>"Yeah, I'll beat you down, pigtails." Lupa jokes.
>"Pfft, whatever. You don't even know how to throw." Leia says back.
>"I play Charge characters. Scrub." Lupa laughs to herself and Leia joins her.
>They fight and yell, but they have a good time.
